Chapter 1Arc1: Tutorial | Chapter 1: Regression

If you've ever read a regression idol story, you would know what's happening to me right now.

'What utter bullshit'

I was currently sitting on a large king-sized bed with a bottle filled with pills that seems to be flakka on my side.

It was relatively surprising when I woke up near this kind of drug but I was a lot more surprised when I saw my reflection on the TV facing the bed and a system window.

"Going back in time is impossible."

That was what I thought before waking up in this place.

I was celebrating my 5th anniversary with my group 'Forever'.

The K-pop group 'Forever' is a seven-member and debuted as the first group of the sixth generation.

We were loved by fans.

That was obvious seeing that we've lasted five years in the K-pop industry.

Most groups wouldn't last that long unless they have a strong fanbase especially when one of our members is already turning thirty.

Regardless, all of them had fun performing on stage and interacting with fans...

Except for me.

I was the leader of that group and it was absolute hell.

Imagine being the group leader of a team that doesn't want to cooperate with you

Now imagine doing that hellish thing for five years.

The reason we were all able to do our best these years was because of me blackmailing them.

In fact, I don't think we would've been able to do anything at all if it wasn't for my atrocious deeds.

But it played well I guess.

Everyone was probably planning on submitting their resignation notice after our five-year contract ended and I was planning on doing as well.

The media, sasaengs, paparazzi, that inhuman schedule, I was prepared to leave that shit behind and find a girlfriend.

'It's not too late for me. After all, I'm still 25'

Turns out it was.

When I was celebrating (drinking) with my members, I passed out and found myself lying here.

'I probably died because of an alcohol overdose.'

Regression stories are started with their main characters, right? So it was safe to assume I died because of that.

'In front of the members too...' I sighed dejectedly wondering how all of them reacted

"I bet they used the situation of me dying as an excuse for their resignation form"

I looked at my system widow trying to focus on what's currently happening right now and not the past

"Shouldn't I need to say 'status window' for it to appear? Why did it suddenly jumpscare me when I first woke up?"

I could feel the hairs on my body creeping up making me shiver as I looked at the system with disgust.

'Was it watching while I was sleeping?' I glared at it before looking around the room.

In the room, there was a bed in the middle, a TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed, a closet, and a bag that sat on the floor.

'A hotel room...if I didn't see that title 'Regressor' I would've thought I was placed here by my members'

I stood up and looked at the bottle of flakka on the side. The pills were spilled out of the bottle and it seems like my past self passed out after drinking a lot of them.

'Suicide attempt? Impossible. I wasn't that crazy before and still isn't. I don't want to touch it and I don't even dare to. What was my past self doing here anyway? And why couldn't I remember?'

Lots of questions appeared in my head but as a person who read countless regression stories, I could probably guess.

I often read a lot of novels during break time and the regression-themed novels were one of my favorites.

'But I shouldn't rely on those. Who knows, this regression may be completely different than what I know'

I went to see the contents of my bag which was normal, unlike the pills that were scattered on the bed. A phone and a wallet that contained only Five thousand won and my national ID,

"...I forgot I was flat-out broke before"

I grabbed my phone and checked the date which made me form a displeased face.

[December 24 XXXX]

I was sent back seven years before I died.

The day I turned 18.
