Chapter 1 - Start

"So, you're saying that you'll reincarnate me in the world of Fire Emblem Fates?" Rem asked with a raised eyebrow to the man he is in front of at the moment.

The man has black hair and black eyes. Has a slender build and was beautiful that other people will think that he was a woman if not for him confirming that he was a guy. His hair was long that it reaches up to his waist while also having three horns with two on the side of his head and another on the middle. This was Mire, one of the first twelve dragons, the dragon of time and space.

"That's correct. So, will you do it?" Mire asked for the second time.

"Well, of course I want to... but what would you gain from this anyways? I mean, you can't possibly just give me another life without you gaining anything since that would be weird." Rem said while looking at Mire with caution.

"Quite a wary person. I won't really gain from this but I guess you can say that I'll have a kind of entertainment if I let you reincarnate in there. I mean you're an avid fan of our world which highly interest me." Mire smiled while summoning a set of chair and table with tea on it.

"Come sit and drink as we discuss this." Mire said while gesturing for Rem to sit down.

"Thanks. Anyways, there are many avid fans of Fire Emblem out there, I'm sure there are more people out there that will want to take my place right now. So, why specifically me? There must be something more than this, right?" Rem asked then sipped the tea served to him, and widen his eyes when he discovered the wonderful taste it gave.

"Alright, I'll tell you the truth. You see you're not the first one who came here, You're actually the seventh person to be summoned here. You see, me reincarnating you has a price. The price is for me to give a portion of my power and also taking away the right of your soul to reincarnate again. Souls are always going into the cycle of reincarnation and death but me reincarnating you into my world will make you pay the price of that." Mire then drink his tea after explaining.

"So, you're saying that if I die in this reincarnation, I'll completely die along with my soul that constantly reincarnates like everyone?" Rem asked one last time.

"That's correct. So in a way, you'll be risking your very own proof that your existing which is your soul. So, will you choose to reincarnate to my world or will you chose to go back into the normal cycle of reincarnation?" Mire asked with a serious face.

"Hmmm... would I get some cheats from you?" Rem asked with a sly smile.

"You look like a greedy fat merchant right now, mortal. Pftt-" Mire spit his tea, and laughed because of Rem's face.

"What!? I'll let you know that my face is not fat, and has an average size." Rem retorted with a red face. This wasn't the first time someone teased him about this, and every time he'll defend his precious face from being compared to a fat merchant's face.

"Hahahahaha! I was going to give you cheats. Mostly giving you the choice of what personal skill you want, 2 class skills, and one item you can imagine. But since you've made me entertained with just this short amount of time, I'll be giving you one personal skill you want, it can be any skill even if it's not in the game. Also, instead I'll give you three skills, one item you can imagine, a choice of race and birth place." Mire said with a smile.

"Does the skills have a restriction or something?" Rem asked with a serious face.

"Of course since I'm not that omnipotent." Mire replied.

"Then I want something like the Replicate skill as my personal skill but I want it so that you can buff it as much as you can." Rem replied. He was thinking about the benefits of the Replicate skill since it practically doubles him, and every experience the clones gets will also return to him like buffs and healings, but it also has a drawback of returning the same damage and debuffs it receives to the main body. Also, if the clone dies then the main body dies too. But the main focus of Rem with this skill is how much utility this skill gives.

"That can be done. The most I can do is give a skill that let's you create two clones. It also removes the disadvantage of this skill which makes you get killed when the clone dies, or when the clone is damaged or debuffed you'll also receive the same damage or debuff. But the other positive effects will stay. I'll call this skill Ascendant Replication." Mire explains which gave a smile to Rem.

"Then let's move to the 3 skills." Mire continued as Rem nodded his head.

"Since you said skills, and not class skills like the first one, then this means that I can request any skills even if it is a personal skill, an enemy skill, or a class skill. No taking backs, Mire." Rem grinned with his teeth showing making Mire almost spit the tea his drinking since Rem was making the greedy fat merchant's smile again.

"Y-yes- pf-" *cough*

"Yes, Rem" Mire replied after composing himself.

"Great! But before that I'm going to ask about the activation of skills. Since in the game the activation of the skills is dependent on chance and the skill and luck stats, will it be the same within the place that I'm reincarnating to?" Rem asked.

"You can say that the activation of the skills will still be dependent on skill stats since the activation of skills this time will have cooldowns. The Skill stat will act as a percentage of cooldown reduction like for example, you have 3 points in your Skill stat then a skill will have a cooldown reduction of 3 percent." Mire explains.

"Hmm... Another question, what about the cost of the activation of the skill. There should be a cost in it, right?" Rem asked with a frown.

"That's right. This will be a new stat when you reincarnate which is called the Stamina Points or SP. The Stamina Points will increase as you level up like the other stats. Also, this stat regenerates even as you battle, let's just say one turn in the game regenerates 1 SP. By the way, one turn in the game is equivalent to one hour. One SP is equivalent to one skill activation." Mire explains while Rem continuously nods.

"Alright, I got it. Then, I want the Paragon skill, Rightful God skill, and Divine Shield skill." Rem said after some careful thinking. He has so many skills that he wanted to have but he still chose this three. Paragon for faster growth, Rightful God for faster skill activation, and Divine Shield for defensive purposes. He has a reason for choosing the Divine Shield skill, and not the other OP defensive skill. He even wanted to pick the Limit Breaker but he still chose the Divine Shield skill since if his plans does not work out then he won't regret choosing another skill instead of the Divine Shield.

"Great choices but one of them is questionable but it's your choice anyway." Mire said then started doing something which made Rem's body to glow.

"Next will be the item of your choice. It can be any item, either it is already available in the world or something that you want to create." Mire said which only made Rem nod with a serious face.

"...I think I want something like a ring or any accessory which can be hidden in my body if I want to. I want to ask, if I chose to make the ring in something like having an HP regeneration skill, how much health will it recover?" Rem asked.

"The most powerful I can do is regenerate 50 percent of your health by an hour. That will be only thing that the item will have though." Mire explains after thinking for a minute.

"How about when I included the SP regeneration? How much will it regenerate?" Rem asked since the HP regeneration that the ring will give exceeded his expectation. Since 1 percent of his health will be given back every 1 minute and 12 seconds which was fast.

"About 25 percent each for an hour. With this ring it will help you never get tired or in a unhealthy position." Mire explained.

"I'll go with that then." Rem said with a nod. With this his HP and SP will regenerate by 1 percent every 2 minutes and 24 seconds which is still fast if you think about it.

"You like having sustain, huh? You have the Divine Shield skill for protection and this ring for regeneration. I can't help but think that you're more focused on defense instead of attack. Anyway, I shall name this ring as Mire's Spring Ring." Mire said with a satisfied face. Rem just nodded though since he doesn't care for the name of the ring, but just cared about the usefulness of this ring.

"Alright, let's talk about your race then." Mire said after passing the Mire's Spring Ring to Rem which Rem immediately wore.
