Prolouge

Bodies fumbled under his feet. A gallant warrior painted in red. His head held high as he slayed his enemies charging forward. He was a true barbarian. Blood always dripped from his sword and his armor always seemed to be red. Although his eyes weren't red they shined back a red tint. His hair is a blank canvas with red paint, dying the canvas slowly. As one of his comrades, he was a brilliant knight.

When the war was at its breaking point and we were close to losing this war. He showed up. He was neither a night nor a monster, but he resembled both. He is chivalrous and brave. Yet smiled when blood stained his body. He slayed all the enemies that stood in our way. He was just a little kid then. His eyes gleamed with hate and hospitality for our enemy. No one knows why or where this kid came from but he seemed to be a poor commoner or a slave.

The day he showed up he looked age thirteen. He wore rags for clothes, no shoes, and had a dirty body. He grabbed one of the swords from our fallen comrade and slayed our enemy with much savagery. We were saved at last. The kid that was younger than me had saved me. We all thought that this kid was a miracle and a curse. No one knows why the kid took our side but he was always nice to us and helped rescue us when we were in trouble. If it wasn't for this man we would have lost the war.

Four years had passed and our enemies were wiped out completely. We celebrated for a week after the defeat. During that time the boy now the age of seventeen was hardly seen. One day he came to the knights he had spent four years on the battlefield with. He claimed that he had nothing more to do since the war was over and his vengeance was taken care of. He said he will return to poverty where he originated from. We were surprised and told him if it wasn't for him we would have lost this war. We as knights couldn't let this deed go undone.

He asked what if he were to stay would become of him. The knights said they would tell the king of his feats and accomplishments. At the very least he could become a duke or even the crown prince since there were only princesses born in the kingdom. He glared down at us, grabbed an apple, and sat down. He then proceeded to ask when we would be leaving for the capital. We sighed in glee.

Author note --

It is a short novel because I'm working on another novel. I hope to finish this one soon. Also, I only have three chapters so far, so I won't be uploading anything for the time being till I get at least ten chapters ready. I'm also more focused on a specific novel.
