Resumen

Prologue: The Catalyst In the vast expanse of the cosmos, amidst the swirling nebulae and distant galaxies, there exists a realm unseen by mortal eyes—a realm where the fabric of reality is woven with threads of light and shadow, of chaos and order. It is a realm of primordial forces, where the dance of creation and destruction shapes the destiny of worlds and civilizations. And in this realm, there exists a being—a being of insatiable hunger and boundless ambition—a being known only as the Catalyst. The Catalyst is the harbinger of change, the catalyst of evolution—a force that transcends the boundaries of time and space, weaving its web of influence across the tapestry of existence. It seeks out worlds ripe for transformation, worlds teetering on the brink of oblivion or rebirth, and infuses them with its essence, sparking the flames of revolution and renewal. And so it was that the Catalyst set its sights on a world unlike any other—a world of magic and mystery, of gods and monsters—a world poised on the cusp of a new era. In this world, a lone soul descended from the heavens—a soul cloaked in shadow and shrouded in secrecy. It fell like a shooting star, streaking across the sky with silent purpose, until it landed upon the earth with a thunderous impact. From the ashes of its descent, a new entity emerged—a being of darkness and light, of chaos and order—a being that would forever alter the course of history. This is the tale of that entity—a tale of transformation and transcendence, of power and peril—a tale woven into the very fabric of existence. This is the tale of the Virus Sovereign.

*Synopsis at bottom* Chapter Length: ~2500 words Release Rate: Chaos Reigns Supreme (~3 a week) Synopsis with minor spoilers: A work of generations, on generations. The Guardians, who once were known as the keepers of law and knowledge since the dawn of existence, rebelled against their master for which they had revealed in accident to be an unjust tyrant. A tyrant that had placed a limiter on their sight, intimidated by what they might see. In so doing the tyrant hoped that by granting them great blessing in its stead, it would blind them from ever seeing the truth. The rebellion failed, and their blessings were stripped away. In their place it brandished them with a new "gift", one that would never let them hide. It converted them from the protectors of order, to a resource many wished to harvest like wheat. They were hunted vigorously, every infinite evil that had been suppressed by them wished to get their bite of revenge. Eventually the Guardians united together for one last grand stand. Once the last Guardians on the field of battle drew their last breath, the world deemed them extinct. Unknown to all, the Guardians chose to sacrifice themselves in this final battle to hide their last hope. A then stranded sole survivor who was working on a project they believed would restore their sight and stolen talent. Finally letting them break the cycle of chains that bound not just them, but every life. Unknown to even this sole survivor, that which they were searching for was not an untold power, nor the method to reach a new level of evolution capable of granting them the power to exact their revenge. Their final pursuit of knowledge would result in the dawn of a new type of existence, to which they could impart their dying wish - break the heavens.

rare connection

Life is given for free but happiness comes with a cost that many can't afford to pay. *********** Even with the dark grey clouds that hovered over the vast sky and the dim light provided by the fire torch that was on the verge of being blown off by the wind, he could still see the glimmer in her eyes. The very same glimmer that appeared in those brown eyes everytime she was happy and for some reason, tonight he was unable to resist hir urges to steal a part of her. She was still standing by the door waiting for him to leave but he had not taken more than three steps before he halted and turned. His features were darker in contrast to the white shirt that he wore and the look on his face was a predatory one. Instead of getting scared, she watched him take the three stairs that led to her room's door and he was a few inches away from her, he finally spoke up. "If there is one thing that I hate, it's having regrets and I know that I will regret if I do not do this." A part of her was confused by his words and another part felt like she knew what he meant by those words. Before she even had a chance to contemplate on what he had just said, he leaned closer, curled his index finger on her pointed chin and tilted her in an angle such that she could feel his cold breath on her face that caused a shiver to run down her spine. Like she had been hypnotized, all she could do was to stare in those obsidian eyes that had held her captive. "This is a mistake that I want to commit again and again." His breath fanned on her face and goosebumps formed on her skin. Not because of the wind, but because of the effect he had on her. If it was some time before, she would have probably pushed him away or maybe escaped but as time had passed by, her feelings towards him had changed...
