Chapter 237

In the past year with the help of Althea, Situs' own warriors have grown to 3,000. The strongest was even a Low Rank 2 Warrior.

''This boy is a much better candidate than the others. Even Vulpine can't compare.'' Althea floated above the handsome boy below.

In front of them were 3,000 figures fighting hard with swords against invisible opponents.

Althea knew a lot about the Eternal Battlefield. Even if a lot has changed she knows the environment enough to find a lot of materials.

After all she used to manage a family of trillions of people, many of them were mortals or weak warriors so they needed these common materials.

The most important thing was a rare mushroom that their family used to grow. In fact most families grow it.

It is called the Glucus Mushroom.

The Glucus Mushroom is a small plant with incredible abilities. It has a growth cycle of around 100 years however it can allow warriors to have a small chance of helping a Warrior outdo their potential.

If a Peak High Rank 1 Warrior takes the mushroom there is a chance that they can use its power to break through to Rank 2 even if they have a one inch Spiritual Root!

This Mushroom is a hidden secret among the powerful families and it is often highly regulated. Luckily Althea knew where to find some and they found two mushrooms.

With the Mushrooms one of Situs warriors bypassed their potential and broke through, while the other was crushed and replanted.

Inside of the Eternal Battlefield, on one of the Families Farms, Situ found a small spot and planted it. In a hundred years they could grow at least 100!

And in the next hundred years it can reach 200 or higher if they use some.

Although Althea doesn't care too much about Low Rank 2 Warriors, she knows the importance of weaker combat power.

Having helped manage a family, a majority of the resources come in from weaker warriors. Most of the legions are formed from these warriors and planes are often controlled with them.

And these Glucus Mushrooms are one of the many backgrounds her family had to help Peak High Rank 1 Warriors to break through.

Unfortunately the requirements are still quite strict. Often they would only use the mushrooms to help Peak High Rank 1 Warriors over 100 years old to break through because they have a strong enough foundation to succeed.

In Althea's mind Situ and the Dog Of War Organisation are already hers! So she has no qualms about strengthening it. In fact she has already started receiving some feedback from it!

Of course this is Samuels own doing. He has so many forces he doesn't mind theoretically giving up a bit of control to Althea. After all she is a spirit who has lasted millions of years and can easily help it develop.

Take the mushrooms for example! Samuel wouldn't have got them if it wasn't for her.

''Situ, this Scourge might be dangerous but it can also be a chance. Although it is rare for things like this to happen, it isn't unheard off.''

''I remember close to a hundred million years ago a small abyss portal opened up, and we sent millions of warriors to control and defeat it. Some of them provided us with resources that we had never heard off!''

''It was that portal we controlled that allowed our family to grow rapidly. We earnt billions of Spiritual Crystals and plenty of rare materials that helped our family to grow.''

Althea spoke temptingly into Situs' ears.

''Really? An opportunity? But Dad said not to mobilise our forces yet.''

Situ thought curiously, remembering what was said in the meeting earlier.

''It's because it is unknown to him. Don't worry I have experienced something like this before I know what to do. You should send you 3,000 Warriors to hunt down the Abyssal Creatures''

Althea floated slightly, her eyes glowing. This could be a big chance for her!

The other copies of her body had already persuaded Vulpine to send her measly forces out, and the copies persuaded other young children or adults to send a few.

But even those added up were less than a tenth of the Situs Army!

If she truly wanted to capture this chance then she had to send Situ.

Under her constant temptation and persuasion Situ finally agreed. In the end Althea taught him a method that allowed him to actually connect his consciousness to the Low Rank 1 Warrior.

Of course this was facilitated by her. Because she knew that Situ won't be allowed to leave the compound at this time. So she used a bit of her own abilities.

''Situ what are you up to?'' Suddenly a cute voice came out of the mansion and the young Lila ran out.

She jumped on Situs' back.

''Lila! Nothing really. How about we go inside and watch some TV?'' Situ led Lila in a smile.

A month ago when the scourge showed signs of appearing Samuel contacted Lilas dad and they agreed that she would become Situs concubines right now.

After all, Lila would be safer in the Dog of War compound as Samuels daughter-in-law. It is a higher status than the daughter of a single elder.

Of course Samuel accepted and Vulpine had nothing to say. She would still be the proper wife, except the wedding was moved up a year.

While Situ led Lila in. The Warriors outside under the orders of Althea entered the Eternal Battlefield.

When they entered there wasn't much difference. But Althea used her power to lead them closer to the Abyss.

After half a month of running they arrived at the outskirts of the clouds.

Floods of black mist spread across the sky, as it travelled across the mountains and cliffs. Wherever the mist passed the trees would wither and die.

Strange creatures popped out and engulfed the grazing beasts.

With Althea's strong perception she clearly sensed hundreds of thousands of people all around fighting.

Not just humans but various races. In a span of hundreds and thousands of miles there were many battles. Of course this is because the abyss creatures are valuable and they threaten their safety.

Many small planes have been attacked. This is the peculiarity of the Abyss. Rather than paying Spiritual Crystals or other resources to attack planes, they can sacrifice the blood of their prey to attack!

This means no plane is safe!
