Did You Know We're Dating?

Willa had the straight A's, the pretty face, the calm composure, and the comfortable wallet. Everyone held her at some sort of pedestal, be it as the fairytale princess of all the professors or as the infallible university vice president. Only problem was, no one ever really knows where she is once the clock ticks and the general assemblies end.

It was precisely this vanishing habit of hers that led Leo, when confronted by his ex-girlfriend in front of a whole party, to blurt out the words, "I'm in a relationship with Willa Theodore."

Perhaps it was Leo's sheer luck that the one and only time he had so brazenly lied about himself ended up being the talk of the whole university. Or, perhaps it was Willa's fault how she had garnered such a respectable reputation and how easy it was to cling to it because of her absence and distance from the social circles of their campus.

The first time they met, Leo was dutifully avoiding her inquisitive gaze and the innocent but curious tone she spoke with her first words ever in interacting with him. "Did you know we're dating?"
