Chapter 33. Succumbing does not mean losing

Lusi went to the garden behind the house, she sat on a long wooden bench. Her feet were laid on neatly mowed grass, the dark sky and black clouds overshadowed her overcast heart.

Her heartfelt a deep pain, she felt she would succeed in getting Luis's heart someday if she was always around him. Lusi hopes that love will grow because they are used to being together. But the reality is different, not as sweet as he hoped.

The rain fell quite hard tonight as if to support Lusi's painful mood, she was crying to her heart's content, screaming amidst the rushing rain.

In the morning, Lusi woke up and was surprised that she was in bed. Her clothes were different from the ones she wore last night, she wanted to wake up but felt limp all over.

Winda immediately approached because she saw Lusi who had woken up and seemed to want to sit down.

"Let me help," said Winda softly.

"Why are you here? Go." Lusi was surprised, her eyes bulging with the dislike of Winda's existence.

"Calm yourself, last night you fainted in the pouring rain. Luis called me immediately because he didn't know how to take care of you. Now Luis is taking a shower, he looks tired waiting for you all night, he's worried about your health. Luis feels very guilty." Winda explained that Lusi would not misunderstand.

"Let me help you to take a shower after that let me call Luis to help you eat breakfast." Winda smiled kindly.

Lusi obeyed Winda's words, after finishing showering and changing clothes. Winda immediately called Luis. Luis sat on the chair beside Lusi's bed, Winda gave the breakfast that Chef Wan had cooked to Luis, he accepted it and gave it to Lusi, "Eat while it's still warm" Luis said coldly. He began to feed a spoonful of rice.

"I do not want to eat."

"Eat, you need good nutrition to recover quickly," Winda advised Lusi.

Then Winda turned to Luis, "Are you feeding Lusi? I want to accompany Zafran first" Winda reasoned, giving Lusi and Luis alone time. Because currently Luis's attention is needed by Lusi.

Luis held Winda's hand when she was about to leave.

"I believe."

The two words that came out of Winda's mouth seemed to answer Luis's questions that he hadn't even had time to say.

Luis understood what Winda wanted now, that he gave them time to talk and solve their problems.

Luis feels that Winda is a very understanding woman, she understands Lusi's feelings as a fellow woman.

Luis immediately let go of Winda's hand after understanding the meaning of the woman's gaze he loved.

There was jealousy in Lusi's heart seeing the two couples in front of her trying to understand each other.

Lusi once wished that if she became Winda and her dream had come true from childhood to be able to always be with Luis, then she would never want anything else. Lusi will have the full life of Luis and will not let any woman get anywhere near Luis.

Seeing the reality, Lusi was surprised, how could Winda even leave Luis alone with her if Winda loves Luis? Is Winda not passionate about Luis? Lusi was still wondering.

Lusi and Winda have different attitudes in assessing love. For Winda, love, liking, and affection does not mean having the man as a whole. Luis still has a life of his own, Luis has family, siblings, friends, and a job he needs to take care of.

If we love people and then want to master them completely, it is not loved but greed.

For Winda, loving means sharing feelings, whether it's joy or sorrow. Take care of each other, not only our loved ones but also their family and environment. According to Winda, it can be called a balanced and lasting relationship.

Too tying up space for the partner to move is also not good, because surely our partner will feel bored, feel limited, and not free which triggers a fight and leads to separation.

Limiting good things and discussed beforehand is fine if you don't mind.

In essence, the relationship will run smoothly if communication between the two is good.

"Luis, what Winda has and does not I have so you prefer him?" asked Lusi in a voice that was still weak.

Luis was silent for a moment, then smiled as he looked at Lusi. "Both of them are both special and important to me, it's just different feelings. Winda has feelings that match my heart and my heart prefers to be brothers with you. Since childhood I have thought of you as my spoiled little brother," Luis pulled Lusi's nose.

Lusi fell silent after hearing Luis's words. Lusi seemed to be thinking about something.

"Okay, I give in," said Lusi, shaking Luis's hand that was pulling his nose. "Be happy with Winda, tomorrow morning I want to go back to Australia, Papa already missed me." Lusi smiled bitterly.

"Thanks for your understanding," Luis hugged Lusi. Lusi was unable to hold back her tears that she had wanted to spill since earlier, she cried in Luis's arms.

The next day ...

Luis, Winda, and Zafran go to the airport to take Lusi home to her parents. Sis Lisa can't come because she has business.

"I'm sorry, Lusi," said Winda sincerely, before Lusi entered the door of the international departure waiting room.

"It's not your fault, take good care of Luis? Or I will come again to get him," Lusi forced a smile.

She still can't give up Luis. How could Lusi be able to erase Luis from her memory so quickly, when she has made Luis prince in his heart for years. Lusi gave up her dreams and prefers to continue her medical school abroad. Lusi hopes to be equal to the Adijaya family who manages many businesses that control famous hospitals and most of her family in the health sector, namely as medical personnel, doctors.

Once again Lusi hugged Luis tightly and shed tears again in Luis's warm embrace. A few minutes later she had to immediately release his hug because the airport information department had given an appeal for check-in and boarding for the flight number that matched Lusi's ticket.

Luis, Zafran, and Winda immediately left the airport after Lusi's back disappeared from their sight.

Zafran seduces Winda to go for a walk. Zafran wants to go to Zoo but Luis refuses.

"Come on Aunty, go to Zoo ... Zafran wants to go to Zoo ..." Zafran kept on whining.

"No! Uncle Luis doesn't want to go to the Zoo," Luis said to Zafran.

"But Zafran wants to," said Zafran.

"No!."

Ah, why won't Luis? Does Luis hate going to the zoo because he has trauma?
