8. Saved by the Luna

The three turned to see the luna coming towards them. The one standing beside the girl froze but breathe a sigh of relief when her sights weren't set on him. He was relieved not wanting to have defenseless child blood on his hand, he didn't think his conscience could handle it. He didn't move not wanting to attract the attention of his Luna since she had her eyes set on the Alpha.

The Luna stopped in front of the three arms crossed as she assesses the situation then her eyes landed on the Alpha her mate.

"What is going on here?" she asked.

No one answered and the Alpha looked irritated but underneath that irritation, he hides the fact that he felt like someone who did something wrong and they are screwed.

"I asked a question what the hell is going on here?" She said getting impatient when no one spoke up.

"Greeting Luna," the border patrol said in unison. "There's was rogue that got onto our territory and the Alpha order us to kill it."

The Alpha was cursing the wolf just now for throwing him under the bus. He knew that Rosaline while getting angry at him for wanting to kill a child. But he remained cooled not wanting the border patrols to know that he's afraid of his mate's anger.

"And where is the rogue?" she asked looking around.

"She's right there Luna," he said pointing to the little girl sitting there helplessly and couldn't stop the shakes that wreck her body.

Rosaline's head snapped back to her mate after seeing the poor state of the little girl shocked that her mate wanted to kill a little girl but no matter how she glared at him he remained passive, unfazed by her mate.

They weren't going to have a spat in front of the two-pack members so communicating with her eyes she made sure he knew what was coming his way when they were alone.

She started walking forward to Asonya when her mate took a hold of her hand. "What are you doing?" he asked when he realized she wanted to get closer to the rogue.

"What should be done," she replied pulling her hand out of his hold but he held on tighter.

"I won't allow you to go close to that filth," he sneered.

"You can't stop me," she challenged sneering back at him. She wasn't going to cower and obey him since they are of equal status but for a small rouge like Asonya, she could feel their authority coming off in waves unable to withstand its oppression she whimpered curling more into herself on the grass-covered ground. Her look was pitiful.

"I can and I will." He wasn't giving up either. Neither of the two was backing down but in the end, one of them have to give in...

The two had a staring contest and in the end, he lets go off of her hand and she went to Asonya bending down in front of her. Rosaline was always stubborn and doesn't allow him to shelter her. It just a little girl and there was no need to get possessive and overprotective.

He knew it's going to take a while for his mate to forgive him because he ordered his border patrol to kill the child but he was still angry at her for being careless and getting close to the rouge.

Better be prepared to have plenty of cold showers. Damn rouge. Little Asonya was shaking visible more than before in fear. There was no strength left in her too weak body after weeks in the forest without any food and being hunted down. It was by accident she stumbled on the Alpha's territory.

Asonya wasn't a fool, she stayed away from pack territory. She was left with no choice when the hunters are catching up to her. She had no strength left in her body after surviving so long without food.

Luck was on her side that day when she was wondering close to this pack searching for food, anything to curve the hungry. To have a release from all the painful hunger pangs and tightness in her belly.

When she discovered that she was being hunted by those who eliminated all the pack members she had to make a choice. To be caught and killed or escape on pack territory. She didn't know what will happen to her once she trespasses on pack territory, nothing good could happen since the pack hates rouges.

Rouges are treated as some infection on the werewolf world whether they became one voluntary or involuntary. They can't be redeemed so they are seen as dangerous.

With no choice, with all the strength Asonya had she raced with the hunters, it was a matter of life and death. There was no minute to spare as she dashes through the forest stumbling but never falling as she tries to win those coming after her to reach pack territory before the hunters can catch up with her.

When she finally crossed the boundary of the pack territory she trespassed on, she breathes a sigh of relief but not for long because she was soon surrounded by two big patrol werewolves with their weapon out ready to kill her.

The fear of being caught by the hunters vanish when they stopped seeing that she was on pack territory, not just any pack territory but the strongest pack territory around the world. Now she became overwhelmed with fear of the pack border patrol towering over her ready for the kill

Now the Alpha of the pack was here, the Luna and the two border patrol.

"Don't be scared little one, I won't hurt you." Her voice was so soft and comforting but that didn't stop the quakes in my body. She reached out to me but I flinched away from her touch receiving a growl for my reaction.

She snapped her head in his direction glaring fiercely at him. "Stop it you're scaring her," she scolds her mate.

"Humph." He was very dissatisfied with his mate before he turned away breaking eye contact with his mate's fierce eyes unable to bear the look that she was giving him.

Ignoring the Alpha once again the Luna turns to look at the child in front of her, the small girl was in a dilapidated state, and you could see the harshness that she went through out there in the wild all alone.

The Luna couldn't stop her heartbreak thinking about a child out there alone trying to survive. The forest out there is a very dangerous place with monsters lurking in every corner.

"Come little one let's get you cleaned and fed." Asonya clumsily took the Luna outstretched hand. Ignoring the brooding Alpha they went to the packhouse hand in hand.

It was there the Luna vowed to protect her to grow her like her own pup. She became so possessive and protective of her that her mate, the Alpha no matter how he tried to convince her to get rid of the 'demon' 'rouge' 'filth' his mate didn't relent. Giving up he had to accept Asonya into the pack and his family seeing that his mate won't part with it.
