Dark Vs Evil

Darkness filled the place due to the dark clouds and heavy rain.

An old man wearing a black raincoat was walking through a dark alley with a black plastic bag in his left hand. When he saw a rusted dumpster in the dark corner was surrounded by stagnant water due to rain, he throws the plastic bag into it from distance. But it missed the dumpster, only to fall in the gap between the wall and the dumpster. Feeling irritated old man stepped in the stagnant water while moving towards the plastic bag he has thrown and picked it. When he picked the bag, he felt something sticking to his hands. Not caring about that he placed the black plastic bag into the dumpster properly and started walking towards the entrance of the alley. When he came out of the alley, he was happy to see little light but got irritated with the sticky hands. When he saw his sticky hands, his eyes started showing fear, panic and uneasiness. Without further delay, he called 911.

After 15 minutes, the entrance of the dark alley was filled with blue-red lights.

Two police officers were questioning the old man who called 911. While the forensics team was collecting evidence.

Ambulance bought the injured person to the hospital.

After 20 minutes

James (Captain) asked the forensics team about the case.

Leo (forensics) – "We found her ID cards and other details. But the reason for her injuries can be guessed, but we need further study. As for evidence, we can't find anything likely most of them must have already got destroyed in this heavy rain."

James's expression on his face showed irritation – "So another case with no evidence. This will be a headache for us. Do you think she will remember the culprits?"

Charlie – "Cap. It is possible. But what should we do about the media?"

James – "Just tell them we found an injured woman aged 23 near the dumpster and we will be investigating the case."

Charlie – "But cap., we are already under a lot of pressure from media and higher official for the last case we got. Now, this!"

James – "What can we do about it? We are just unlucky to get this another problematic unsolvable case in our department."

Charlie walked towards the reporters with a solemn face.

Leo – "Okay cap., I will give you the detailed report by evening."

James – "Thanks, Leo. Only your department can find something to help us with this case. We are already stuck with the previous case with no evidence. So, some pieces of evidence are necessary for this case."

Leo – "Okay. Also, this case may be a rape case. As we found a lot of bruises and nail marks on her body. I will verify it with further study. Also, the culprits seem to be a novice with all the evidence in her body. But their only luck was the heavy rain, that has damaged the most possible evidence."

James – "Mm. Those f*cking ba*tards."

While in the apartment 5 km away from the dark alley.

A Group of men are involved in immoral activity. The apartment was filled with drugs, alcohol and snacks.

Robin while drinking his beer – "Do you think we will get caught?"

Karon – "There is no evidence for them to find us, as they will be destroyed in the rain. Also, she wouldn't dare to give the voice against us."

Charles – "Hahaha, that fucking b*tch needed that. How dare she reject my request for a date with me? Did she think, she is some kind of pure woman. Women of her status should just follow our order. How dare she reject me? Now she got this for her arrogance."

Robin – "But I think we went overboard with that. We should have stopped when she lost her consciousness. She will not die right?"

Karon – "I don't think she will. Even if she died, it is more helpful for us. As evidence are lacking."

Charles – "In case I had informed my mother. She will help us, as she got some attachments in the police department. We can even go abroad if the situation got out of control."

Robin breathed out the last of concern he had about the rape.

One month later.

Robin, Karon and Charles came out of the court with a smiling faces. They are proved as innocent as there were no sufficient shreds of evidence. Even the victim changed her testimonial at the last minute made the case lose its purpose. The victim name was Sarah Caspian, who was an office worker. She lost her job and was forced to accept the deal in secret with culprits because of all the financial and mental pressure. Her eyes lost all the hope she had towards her life. She walked towards her rented home with shame, while remaining lifeless.

When Sarah entered her home, her eyes which were already red started pouring tears. She kneeled to the floor while covering her face with her hands. The living was filled with cries of women, who lost peace and hope in her life. With all the tears Sarah felt tired moved towards her bed. When she slept on it, all the tiredness which accumulated for the last one month overwhelmed her. Sarah fell asleep and woke up the next day morning. Her eyes showed little hope but were interrupted by a phone call. When she saw the caller ID, she felt the reluctance to attend the call. It was her mom; with hesitation, she attended the call.

Moronica (Sarah's Mother) – "Did you get the compensation? If you got it send it today, as we have to pay for your brothers' marriage expenses. Also, you don't come for my son's marriage. Most of your relatives got the news of your false rape case. We don't want to get insulted because of you."

Without any delay, Sarah's mother turned off the call.

Sarah who heard all of it only fell into the depth of loneliness filled with emotional pain and fear. Not knowing what to do, she looked at the roof entering into deep thought.

After a while, Sarah changed her clothes and went to buy food far from her home. On the way, she was watched by contempt and pity by her neighbor's who know about her case.

Towards the store, Sarah kept her head down in fear and shame. After a while, she reached the supermarket and bought all the things necessary. When she was returning from the supermarket rain started pouring. Sudden rain was common nowadays. Luckily Sarah bought an umbrella with her. Sarah walked in rain slowly. When she was almost near her street, she was staying. Sarah heard a voice calling towards her, but she ignored it. As she felt fears towards strangers because of the rape incident. But the voice kept increasing as the stranger was moving towards her. Sarah felt fear move forward in a faster phase. But the strangers voice getting closer and closer. Finally, with courage, she turned back and saw a man around her age drenched in rain walking towards her with an idiotic face. Sarah laughed seeing the situation of the man moving towards her.

John Hames – "What are you laughing at? Do I look like an idiot to you?"

Sarah closed her laughing mouth, while still trying to hide her laughter.

John not caring about that – "Do you know this address?" while giving a paper containing the address to Sarah.

Sarah withheld the paper and said, "You came to the wrong address, this is greenwood street, not green lake street. Your street is the nearby street." She points her forefinger towards the direction of green lake street.

John was murmuring – "Who the f*ck would name a street nearby as greenwood and green lake street? Can't they be creative? I should blame the lazy person who named these streets." "Maybe the next street will be green street?"

The last sentence was heard by Sarah said, "Yes, the next street is named green street."

John who heard stood as he got struck by a lightning.

John – "…"

Seeing the face of John, Sarah had an urge to smile but controlled it.

John got back his paper with thanks and moved towards the next street. But before he could enter the street, he heard the voice of Sarah.

Sarah – "Hey, it is in opposite direction. That is green valley street."

John who heard this face blackened. In his mind – "What the fu*ck? Still stuck with the green." With anger, John moved towards his street.

Sarah was laughing until her stomach hurt while walking towards her home. Sarah forgot about her all the worries she had before.

John entered the street was again confused with the door number, as it looked like G1L9 and G1I1 after getting wet in the rain. John felt like plucking all his hairs. Feeling mentally abused he called his friend to verify the address and got it as G1J1. Finally, the gate of the home G1J1. But when he tried to open the door with the key, key he got from his friend got stuck in the keyhole. Feeling irritated he called his friend only to find "Out of coverage area machine voice". John tried all tricks to open the door, but nothing worked. Later got arrested by the police, because one of the neighbors has complained about the thief, they saw in the G1J1 house.
