Danmachi: reincarnated as the strongest support character

"Finally this damned war is coming to an end." said a middle aged man with tired eyes wearing a set of white robes with a traditional sword on his waist as he looked at the battle going on in the distance.

Behind the middle aged man stood hundreds of people spectating the battle alongside the man. They looked at the battle reminiscing on the people they held dear to them that they lost to this war.

A war was inevitable as the relationship of the demonic cult and the righteous sects was akin to water and oil, never being able to mix. But even though everyone knew a war was coming they didn't expect it to come so soon.

The war started because a high ranking member of the Demonic cult snuck into the treasury of mount hua, The greatest righteous sect with the longest heritage, and stole the divine technique before causing a massacre in the process of escaping. The death count of that raid was in the five-digits. More than any battle between the two sides in the last 30 years.With all the chaos being caused by only one man.

The righteous sects had to retaliate in order to save face from the previous raid, leading to the start of the war between the cult and the righteous sects. 

now mind you the leaders of the righteous sects aren't stupid. They wouldn't start a war for a measly ten thousand people. Their real goal in the war was to get back the divine technique. Unfortunately for the righteous sects they didn't find the divine technique until near the end of the war as it was already too late and the technique had already been learned, proving to be a great surprise to them as no one in the righteous sects have been able to use that technique in over 200 years. This made it difficult for the righteous sects to believe that someone could master the technique in a short 5 years and someone from the demonic cult no less.

on the battlefield was a group of 9 men wearing white robes looking to be in their 50's and a group of 8 men wearing robes that are black with red lining fighting against one man wearing the same robes as the 8 men. 

The eight of the nine men wearing white robes were the leaders of various sects in the righteous sect alliance with the last one being the leader of the alliance. Of the 8 men wearing the black robes seven of them were the demonic masters of the cult with the last one being the leader of the cult, the heavenly demon.

"Father, how is it possible for the demonic cult and the righteous sects to work together. not to mention against one of the 8 demonic masters of the cult." A girl in her early twenties stepped forward from the spectating group from the righteous side and asked the man standing in front.

The man sighed at this question before answering.

"I don't even know the answer to that. the only ones who could possibly know would be the ones on the battlefield now."

Hearing this the girl in white said nothing as she looked at the battle still raging on. At this point the entire city that the battle started in becoming ruins.

The man was right. Only the eighteen people participating in the battle knew what happened.

It started 2 years ago as one of the eight demonic masters used the start of the war to brake into the library of the divine sea, the library that held all of the strongest techniques of the demonic cult. this demonic master went on to heavily injure the demonic master guarding the library and escaping with two of the highest level of techniques in the library. One of which that only the heavenly demon had the right to learn.

This demonic master, who had pulled off two of the greatest raids in history, enraged the heavenly demon to the point of him ordering an edict which made half of the cult start frantically start hunting down the rogue demonic master with the other half of the cult defending against attacks of the righteous sects. 

seeing both sides getting worn down from the war the heavenly demon decided to go to the leader of the righteous alliance and proposed a truce and work together to get the culprit who stole from both of the demonic cult and the righteous sects.

after long deliberation the alliance leader decided to agree leading to the entire martial world going on a crazed man hunt for one man. This man hunt, even with the abilities of both sides, lasted for a full two years before the righteous side spent an exorbitant amount to make the greatest diviner use their powers to find where the rogue demonic master had hidden.

shortly after getting the rogue's location both the cult and the alliance came together to lay a trap that would allow them to catch the demonic master.

The trap in theory was pretty simple with the poison king, a top 3 demonic master, sneaking a poison that stops qi from being able to move into the rogue's meal as he ate at a tavern. after successfully poisoning him the greatest from both sides would come together to lay siege on him.

You would think that with the one demonic master fighting against 17 of the worlds greatest and holding his ground that the trap had failed. But it didn't.

The trap had succeeded. The demonic master had been poisoned. Too bad for the side laying the siege that the demonic master had already learned the divine technique of mount hua. The heaven-rending divine body.

Not many knew of the raid on the demonic cult's library due to it being kept secret. the righteous sect alliance wasn't so lucky as the raid on mount hua was already known. Because of this everyone knew the technique that was stolen from them, so when it was used it was recognized very soon after.

With the world now knowing the rogue had learned the technique that no other could in over 200 years the demonic master gained a new title from the public.
