Her emotions are destructive and with not being allowed to feel any emotion how would she cope with the crumbling world around her?
It was spring festival in the town of Frostland.
A festival celebrated to mark the beginning of Spring. Frostland was a warm green and sunny contrary to the name itself.
The town smelt lovely with flowers and food in abundance everywhere.
The people of Frostland danced to tunes of beautiful music. There was joy, love, happiness, and dancing.
Royalties from different places joined in to celebrate with the people.
Amongst them was king Magnus. King of Agland and an old time friend of King Egbert he was the king of Frostland.
After different Royals had given their gifts and greeted the king of Agland, The king of Frostland was next to present their gifts. Together with his royal family and servants he came forward to announce his gifts.
King Egbert stood to his feet and hugged his friend, king Magnus.
"Ah Magnus! I thought you had forgotten about me" he said.
"Forget about you? Never! How can I forget about you Egbert?" King of Agland, Magnus asked.
"Well then, you are very welcomed to Frostland!" King Egbert replied.
"Welcomed? See it's you who don't want me here. How can you welcome me when I am Frostland's very own?" king Magnus said and they both burst out laughing.
Their conversation continued. After a while of exchanging pleasantries king Egbert permitted king Magnus to stay at the palace until all celebrations were completely over.
It was night time. King Magnus and his wife Queen Maria were invited to attend the royal ball held by king Egbert.
They left behind their two children Astrid and Alexandria who were age 10 and 9 respectively.
In the royal guest room given to them, Alexandria the younger one stared into the starry night while Astrid walked about in the room inquisitively.
"Lexa, let's go out!" Astrid pleaded with her sister as she was bored to death in the room.
"No, I am okay with staying here" Alexa replied.
"Oh please Alexa! Please! Please! Please?" she pleaded.
After a great deal of persuasion, Alexa agreed. She couldn't stand her sister pleading her like that.
The two girls found themselves in the banquet hall where the party was being held by king Egbert.
Astrid could not help but sway her body to the tune of music in the hall.
As she got so immense in the music. Alexa made it a chance to look at the royal garden which she had seen when she first got to Frostland.
Outside, she walked in awe of the garden and the starry night just made it all look breathtaking. She walked to bunch of intriguing flowers and sat by them. She sniffed them and giggled.
She caught sight of a butterfly and made a chase for it. It led her straight to the royal lake in the palace!
She bent down to get a better view of her reflection. Just then she felt the presence of someone behind her. She tried to look at the person through the reflection in the water but her head had blocked it.
She started to shiver. And with just the feel of a tap at her back she fell into the water!
Good thing she could swim!
She swam up and faced where the tap had come from it was none other than.....
"Hadrian!" she shouted!
Hadrian was the to third born of the King Egbert.
"Sorry, Lex!" he said trying to catch up with his breath.
"Hey! You scared me! You could have said something when you came in!" she said.
"Sorry Lex. You've grown bigger than before". he said scanning her.
"Of course I have grown bigger than before! I am no more eight I am nine now!"she said sarcastically.
"Here, hold my hands" he let out his hands for her to hold.
She refused his hands and swam out. Out of the water now and drenched, she walked straight past Hadrian heading towards the palace. But before she could move any step further Hadrian blocked her way.
" Move out Hadrian!" she warned him.
" Hey come on. I have a surprise for you. You love flowers right? Come I will show you even more beautiful ones!" he said.
"In the forest? No thanks!" she said trying to walk past him but failed again.
"No in my father's garden". he proposed.
"You mean the...the...the King's garden?"
"Yes".
"I...I don't know. Not everybody is allowed to go there!"
"Not when you're with his son". He held out his hands for her.
She took them and they both ran into the King's garden. Upon their arrival there, Alexa froze. It was as if the garden was a palace for flowers.
They were carefully arranged to match their colours. The floor was made of soft grass with tiny colored flowers.
In not wanting to squash them, she removed her slippers and walked into the garden.
She looked up and there she saw a glass roof giving access to the starry sky. She looked forward and saw where royal sofas were set up with tables. Hadrian had already sat on it.
She looked to her right and she saw a large glass which separated the king's room from the garden.
"Woah!" she gasped.
"Woah? This isn't woah! Come here when it's about to rain and see!" he said.
Against the glass separation was a small shelf with books.
She was just amazed. The lightings were also good. She headed towards where she saw a butterfly landed and reached out to catch it but someone held her hand.
It was Queen Maria her mother!!
