Chapter 10 : Infinity Is In The Council!?

"Congratulations! You all passed with high scores! ", Chie Hoshinomiya's bubbly voice echoed in the tensed classroom.

On hearing the good news, everyone got their happy faces back, clapping hands together they showed joy.

Hoshinomiya then wrote down their marks on the board, with mine being 91 as well as the highest.

Everyone clapped for each other, then Hoshinomiya looked at me and spoke.

"Thanks to Infinity San's efforts nobody was doomed to fail, and everyone had a 100% passing rate! The class is really grateful for your contribution Infinity San! ", Ichinose said with her hands together.

Everyone looked at me then, at Hoshinomiya, sighing I spoke.

"I am sure the class is grateful for my hand in giving those test papers of last year. And yes, it's not breaking rules, nor will Hoshinomiya Sensei will say anything about it. "

Looking at my bold declaration, Hoshinomiya felt a flinch, but just smiled like she was smiling before and said nothing.

Then one by one, my sheep's began their noises of thankfulness.

I think I should get some rest, I am unable to hear their actual sentences, I only am giving importance to Ichinose and Hoshinomiya.

Rubbing my head unconsciously, a loud smack on the table woke me up from my trance.

The whole class quited down, and looked at the source of the sound, it was Hoshinomiya who smacked the table, after making sure our attention was towards her, she spoke.

"Another Good News Everyone! The school seeing all of your hard work, has decided to take you all on a cruise trip next day! "

"The classes for today won't happen. Enjoy the day. "

Everyone got excited and some even jumped out of their seats, after seeing Hoshinomiya had nothing else to speak and went outside.

"Infinity San are you sick? ", Ichinose questioned me. Do I look in such condition?

Taking out a small mirror, I glared at my own image forming on the reflective stone.

Seeing the dark circles under my eyes, I let out a sigh. There's only so much Hamon can improve your health in. You can't expect it to cure your lack of sleep.

Nodding, I spoke. "I think I ate too much Ichinose San, and got diarrhea which kept me awake. " I gave a lie blatantly.

Many girls gasped, and stopped talking with each other about the plans of the trip, and headed towards me, along with few boys, soon before I knew it, most of the class was near my bench.

Before I could utter anything else, words of concerns came out from all sides.

"Infinity San what did you eat!? Was it sweets? "

"Infinity San should take care of himself better! He's an important part of the class! "

"Infinity San here's my family's traditional medicine for all sorts of illnesses! "

"Infinity San... "

And so on, by the time I got out of the class, my bag was overly filled with all sorts of medicine and pages of secret recipes of soups and porridges.

Ichinose and Kanzaki followed me out of the class, then nodding to each other behind me, Ichinose spoke.

"Infinity San, we heard you got in the student council. Is that true? "

Nodding, I responded.

"I am the secretary of the student council. "

They showed shocked reactions, then continued with their questions, when, how, why didn't I tell it to everyone. And so on.

"I wanted to keep it as a surprise. Didn't think you guys would find out so quickly. "

"Ah! Is that so? We apologize for ruining your surprise then Infinity San! "

"Infinity. The president is looking for you. "

One of the student council members came running towards me, and told me that my presence is required! I must go at once! The Manabu needs my rescue!

I shouldn't let this position get to my head though. Whatever!

"I apologize for making the conversation short, Ichinose San, Kanzaki Kun. Let's continue it at a later time. Yes? "

"We understand Infinity Kun. You are in student council, of course you have some important tasks. Well then, see you later! "

Leaving them both behind with a nod, I followed the upperclassman.

--In The Student Council Office--

At the round U table, the curve point had only two seats, one belonging to the president of the council. He sat there, with some files in his hands, which he was looking through, his secretary, Tachibana Akane, with a purple bunned hair, was holding a tab, looking over at Manabu Horikita.

Door opening sound echoes in the rather spacious room, enters a blonde young teenager, with his hands in his pockets he heads towards the president, and takes a seat next to him.

Nagumo Miyabi the vice president of the council. With his signature smug look, he peered over the files. With an etched eyebrow, amused he spoke.

"My, my President, you seem to have found yourself a great successor . " He said jokingly after looking at the file kept on the table, which showed details of a Raven black haired teenager in class 1-B.

Without any change of expression, Manabu touches his glasses mid point, putting them back in place, which reflected the brilliance of the president, along with showing an image of Nagumo who was still waiting for a response.

"Who knows? By the way, Nagumo I heard my Secretary used your name to earn private points. "

Nagumo's smirk faltered for a moment. And Tachibana suppressed a laugh. Which just fueled his annoyance.

Before he could retort, a knock is heard on the door. Manabu who was smiling a bit, immediately straightened up his expression, then looked at Tachibana.

"Come in! ", Tachibana spoke from Horikita's side.

The door opened, in came a cream haired freshman with golden eyes and a rather unique modified uniform.

Walking in, he stood at the middle of the U shaped table.

"You called for me? President? ", I asked.

"Tch. Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! ", an angry outraged voice echoed in the security CCTV room, where a worker was cursing while licking his lips.

He was looking at the CCTV footage of a supernatural fight, where a teenager and middle aged man were fighting, and at the last moment, the man died while choking out and struggling and rolling on the ground.

"That damn brat... What else is he hiding!? What was that trick he used? How did I stopped moving? Why couldn't I feel my own heart beat!? He's dangerous... Incredibly dangerous! He's going to be an obstacle in my future plans... But I also want his body... What should I do?

Hmm... I suppose I know what I should do. Let's switch to that staff member's body for a second. " And as the man finished speaking, his body went limp, and it went unconscious, while he drooled.

What the hell? Didn't Speedwagon foundation remove the footages? Or did I overestimate their authority? And how the hell... Did they get their hands on it?

I glanced at the playing footage of me coming into the third floor from the window, then the footage was rewinded, where a corner camera had caught a part of what happened at the ground.

Where a man popped up from the ground out of thin air, then disappeared when punched. The video paused there.

Sweating a little, I noticed the startled expressions of the figures present around me.

Opening the window at the left wall, I put one leg out, and decided on jumping from there and there. But, Tachibana grabbed my hand.

"Where do you think you are going? ", and I was brought back in the room, where all three of them were staring.

Uh... How am I supposed to handle this?

Author here. Apologies for another short chapter, I seriously can't get enough time out of the day to write chapters. But believe me, once I get free time, I will launch three chapters all together, each being 3000 words long, one after another.
