Spirit Water

After Aren walked through the path, he arrived in a spacious place with a small pond in the middle. Many glowing stones inside the cave caused the cave to have light, just like the place where he fell down. While walking, He had already touched one of the stone and touching it gave him the information about them.

[ Luminous Stones ]

-Effect: Glows in the dark.

He then looked at the pond with doubt because the water didn't look like regular water.

The pond was not that big, just 2 meters radius big and 50 centimeters deep.

He walked towards the pond and took some of it in his hand, but at that time, he heard a voice, and some texts appeared in front of him.

[ Spirit Water ]

-Effect: Able to restore some spirit energy.

Hearing that, Aren's eyes went wide in surprise, " This...is too useful. I need to check its effects. "

Aren had just used <Wind Slash>, so his spirit energy pool was not full.

-Spirit energy pool: 123/200.

He formed a bowl with his hand and took some spirit water before drinking it.

After he drank it, He felt spirit energy coursing through his body for two seconds before hearing a sound and seeing some texts.

[ 10 spirit energy recovered. ]

" Hmmm...If that amount of spirit water recovered ten spirit energy, then 1 liter of bottle can recover approx 280-300 spirit energy. "

Aren at the pond with shine in his eyes and thought, ' I need to store this water. '

He tried to leave but found that the remaining quest was still unfinished.

' Since the quest is about killing 10 BloodThirsty Elephants, It will take some time. Guess I will explore this place in the meantime. ' Thought Aren as he looked at the surroundings.

There were two more paths in this place; one was at the north side while another was to his left side.

He decided to go towards the path in front of him in the north direction and started walking.

After walking at the entrance of that passage, He paused in his footsteps and narrowed his eyes, ' What...are those? '

Deep into this passage, approx fifteen meters away from him, He saw several red lights in the air within the pitch-black darkness of this passage.

' Twelve red lights...What are they? ' Aren observed the red lights with focus, and after a few moments, he noticed that there was a fixed distance between two red lights.

' Fixed distance...each pair. Wait...Are they some kind of beasts? Hmm...If those red lights are their eyes, then why can't they see me? Or is their eyesight bad? '

Aren fell into thought for a few moments before he decided to test them out.

He picked up a rock from the ground, went to the side of the entrance, and hid at the corner right beside the passage's entrance.

Now he couldn't see anything since he was at the side, but he stretched his hand and threw the rock inside the passage before taking his hand back.

The sound reverberated in the cave as Aren heard strange sharp cries. He wanted for a few seconds and saw the giant bats the size of adult pigeons coming out from the passage and directly flying in the front.

They couldn't see him since he hid at the corner right beside the entrance of the passage.

Aren saw that these bats had large and sharp fangs outside of their mouth.

Those bats were flying around in the cave, right above the pond. But suddenly, one of them bat saw Aren and flew towards him.

" So they are similar to bats but more powerful. " Aren muttered as he took out his Heavy Great Sword and swung it towards the incoming bat.

[ Blood Fang Bat killed, 50 exp gained. ]

The other five bats also flew towards Aren after that.

<Haste>

Aren increased his movement and attack speed because handling five bats with his slow attack speed and movement due to wielding a great heavy sword was disadvantageous.

But <Haste> provided a perfect solution to that problem.

He narrowed his eyes and swung his sword in a horizontal arc such that two bats died with a swing.

Right after that, He rolled to the side to dodge the incoming bats and swung his sword again.

Soon, He killed the remaining bats and earned 250 exp.

-Level: 8 [ 1260/3500 ] Exp.

He then moved into the dark passage, but he reached a dead end.

Shaking his head, He walked out and moved towards the second passage that was in the east direction inside the cave.

He didn't see any beasts' eyes inside his passage, and after walking for three meters, he saw sunlight but seeing that he realized that this passage was going upward.

He walked to the end of the passage and reached a dead end, but the sunlight was coming out from six meters above him from the hole that led to the surface.

' Hmmm...I think I can climb this; even if I fall from 6 meters in height, I won't be too injured. '

Naturally, He wouldn't be saying this if he was the same normal human of two days ago. But right now, His body had become tougher and stronger.

Just as he was going to start climbing, He heard some words and instantly hid in the passage while perking up his ears.

" So who is willing to go down? I'm sure some of you know rock-climbing and rock-descending, right? "

Aren heard a girl's voice; from the voice, he guessed that she was around his age.

" Ehh...Rock-descending? Are you serious, Luna? Anyway, I don't think we can go down without falling and suffering injuries. It's just a hole; why do you want to suffer pain? "

This time, Aren heard the voice of the boy.

" Luna, It's just a deep hole; I don't think it leads to anywhere. Anyway, We shouldn't waste time here and gather some people after going outside because we need more people to go to the next patch of land to get barriers. "

Aren heard another voice that resembled that of a deep voice of a male.
