Prologue. “Tale of the Lone Demon Shinobi”

"In the not-so-distant past, there was a child born with the curse of a raging demon. When he was born, the mother had died due to the child's demonic energy, alerting the people of the village. Afraid of what could happen next, the leader of the village wrapped him tightly in cloth with no room to breathe and tossed him down a waterfall in hopes that the demon spawn would drown. Unfortunately for them, the birth of the demon would lead to their demise as a random villager would report the events to the head of the NINJA-61, who had ordered to have the entire village and its people destroyed since it was 'tainted by demon blood'. 

Days after the destruction of the village, shinobi of another village named Rilaven2 find the demon child, leaning up against a rock near a river. Thinking of the crying child's safety first, they immediately return home and take him to their leader. The leader of Rilaven suspects that the child is indeed the demon child but decides to take him in anyway. Knowing both the risks of his position and the people of his village, he believes that they could save the child from its nature if they raise him as an ordinary human… However, due to mishandling the situation, the exact opposite would occur! 

The child was sent to grow up in the village orphanage, where he would often be outcast by the other children, including the adults due to the rumors of him being a demon. There wasn't a day that went by that the child was mistreated, fortunately for him it would seem to come to an end. One day while being bullied by other kids, a shinobi of Rilaven named Bokuzen3 had intervened. The man states that after Bokuzen had saved the child, he had taken him in as his own and even held a council with the higher ups of the village in order to receive permission to train the child as a shinobi. Everyone strongly disagreed against the notion, everyone except for the head of the village, the voice that matters the most. He had granted Bokuzen his wish. 

Now under the supervision of a shinobi, the child hoped that he would know happiness for once, excited to start his new life as a shinobi in training. However, his life would take an even worse turn! The small hope he had in Bokuzen would be crushed as he was treated only as a weapon. For years, the child had suffered through years of constant physical & mental abuse and grueling training under his new guardian. During these times, the child would often run away from home, only to return, knowing that he had nowhere else to go. By the time the child had turned 12, the child's resilience to the demon within would finally break down.

One day, Bokuzen decided that it was the perfect time to take the child's power and forced the child into a fight for his life. Initially refusing to strike Bokuzen, he would eventually black out and mercilessly slaughter his oppressor. When returning to normal, he had witnessed the aftermath of a massacre! Seeing what he was capable of had scared him and made him afraid of what might happen to him if anyone found out, so he fled the village, never to be seen again.

Exactly one day later, the cursed child would again lose the battle with his inner demon. While his soul being possessed, he would run through and destroy six different NINJA-6 territories, leaving nothing standing and no one alive to tell the story. This event would later be known as the Mass 6 Genocide.

They say that the birth of the Lone Demon Shinobi is the sole reasoning behind the resurgence of the demon epidemic that has stricken Van Hollow once again. Although his appearance has never been clearly described, it is said that during the night, it is unsafe to be in the woods because with his sharpened skills within the shadows, he can hide from his prey & with his cursed blood, he has the strength of the demon who once almost plunged the land of Van Hollow into the depths of the Underworld..."
