// Lucy's POV //
'And so it begins! Let the show commence!'
"I am in class B as well, hmm tell me, why are you going to this school?" I asked, genuinely interested.
"For the 100% employment or college enrollment after graduation of course."
At this Lucy's mood lifted, "Really? And what if by chance someone takes that opportunity away from you? you would do anything to take that back wouldn't you?"
Kanzaki scrunched his eyebrows, obviously confused at this line of questioning, "I mean I guess, what the hell are you talking about anyway?"
Lucy smiled a small smile and sat back down normally, 'As weird as he thinks this is, he will remember this when he realizes that only class A gets the luxury that he wants'
"Kanzaki, will you be my friend?" She asked confidently.
'Ichinose became the class leader because she was nice to everybody without question and put ideal thoughts in their heads. I have to start gaining popularity and get people on my side before she gets her grubby little hands on everyone.'
'It's kind of like a race but What if it doesn't need to be a race? The only person I need to beat is Ichinose, so what if I just got her on my side? Without competitors, I win by default no?'
'I've thought about this exact scenario before, the only problem is putting it into action. If the class becomes divided, it's almost guaranteed that we will drop down to class C. Unrest this early will cause the people to fidget and talk more during lessons, and that is only harmful to the cause.'
"I don't mind, we are in the same class after all." Kanzaki seeing no problem with Lucy's request agreed.
The bus began slowing down to a stop, outside the window Lucy saw it. The place she has been dreaming about for the last 11 years, the place that will be used as her playground. The next three years are going to be spent on this school's ground, battles will be held to determine who the best class is. 'I just can't wait!'
// class B classroom, 3rd POV //
When Lucy entered the room, groups had already formed with some lone outliers. The first thing that she would do is walk up to the podium at the front of the class, "Excuse me everybody!" She raised her voice in a sure tone to gather all attention on her.
After only a mere 5 seconds, all eyes where turned to her 5 foot 4 form. "I think it would be beneficial for everybody to introduce themselves to everybody." There where a few timid people in the room so she thought if she doesn't do this then there will be demoralized loners in the class with no ambition, that is a big no no when it comes to competing with other classes.
When Lucy saw the approval on the faces on the more outgoing classmates and the slight hope of making friends on the smaller, more timid students, she knew her plan was in action. She will become the class leader.
"As it was my idea, I will go first." It was at this point that she saw Ichinose enter the classroom, "My name is Lucy Hall, but you can call me Lucy because i'm English!" there where a few "ooo's" and "aahh's" at this. Lucy chuckled, "My main hobby's include anything physical and adrenaline pumping, I also like reading light novels and manga. Later on please give me all of your phone numbers so I can make a class B group chat! I would hate for anybody to be left out of anything."
The first person to clap was Kanzaki, followed by Ichinose and then the rest of the students. "then I will go next," Was spoken by Ichinose, she subtly attempted to go behind the podium, however Lucy pretended not to notice and stood still. Ichinose settled for standing next to her, "My name is Ichinose Honami and I would like to be friends with everybody here, I can't wait to do activity's with you all and graduate!"
There was a round of applause initiated by Lucy, and the next person to introduce themselves was Kanzaki, followed up by a timid girl call chihiro and 25 minutes later everyone had there chance to introduce themselves. Lucy saw that there was a lot of support for when the more timid people spoke and she realized that this is a very easy class to unite.
suddenly high heels could be heard tapping against the floor as a brown haired woman who seems slightly hung over walked in. It was only now that Lucy relinquished her spot at the podium to who is obviously their home room sensei.
"Hello students of class 1 B, My name is Chie Hoshinomya. I will be your homeroom teacher for the next three years so I -hicup- hope we can get along." Half her words where slurred, an clear sign of her having drunk the last night before.
She held the side of her head, probably a head ache, before continuing. "On your phones provided by the school, you can see how many points you have, right now you should all have 100,000. Please know that one point is the equivalent to one yen." At this everybody was in slight shock, "You will be given an allotment of points every month depending on your worth to the school."
This was strange. from what Lucy remembers, class D was not given that small piece of information. 'Depending on your worth to the school.'
'Maybe we where given that information because we are in a higher valued class than D. Or maybe our sensei is too drunk and let that information slip by accident.'
Looking around, Lucy saw that only Ichinose and Kanzaki had digested that last bit of information. She made eye contact with the both of them and subtly pointed toward the podium, it seemed like the two understood what she was trying to say.
'After class, I will be holding a class discussion'
// Lunch break, 3rd POV //
The moment that the bell rung to indicate the end of lessons, and the beginning of lunch break Lucy made a bee line toward the podium and clapped her hands loudly, ~CLAP!~
Everybody turned to look at her, by this point Ichinose and Kanzaki had stood either side of her. "Before everybody leaves for lunch, I think we should hold a class discussion about the S system."
Ichinose gave her instant support of this idea, "I agree, it seems like an important part of how the school operates." And kanzaki nodded his head.
Lucy smiled when everyone sat back down ready for the conversation to begin, "I know everyone is excited about the prospect of having 100,000 points," everyone nodded, "however, I think we should limit our spending for the firs month. There is no guarantee that we will get another 100,000 next month."
There was a mass confusion, "But sensei said we will be getting 100,000 points every month didn't she?" A girl called Mako Amikura voiced out, to this many nodded.
It was Kanzaki who spoke up next, "No, sensei said that we will be given an allotment of points every month 'based on our worth to the school'"
Ichinose added onto this, "That's right, but we don't know how the school measures our 'worth' so it's best we preserve as many points as possible just in case."
It took some convincing but eventually the whole class agreed that it is the smartest decision. One student stood out beyond the rest to Lucy however, she stood out in a discreet way however. The girl seemed disinterested in the whole conversation and just nodded along with what every one else was doing.
Lucy made a small smile in her direction.
// after the discussion, Lucy's POV //
"Ichinose, Kanzaki. If it's alright with you two, I would like to continue our discussion, just the three of us." Lucy waved the two over to her desk to eat lunch while they spoke, not giving them a chance to refuse.
"There's something about what sensei said that I find weird, she said 'You can buy anything with these private points'." Lucy took a bite of her sandwich, waiting for one of them to speak their opinion on the matter.
It was Kanzaki who spoke first, "Wasn't she just talking about the necessity's and games?"
Ichinose was zoned out, thinking about what Lucy had suggested.
"Eh, who knows. I just wanted an excuse to invite you to lunch." Lucy said nonchalantly, confusing Kanzaki.
"You know you can just ask right?"
while Lucy and Kanzaki started conversation, Ichinose sat there eating and thinking that Lucy was actually onto something.
// class D, mid lesson, Miyu's inner monologue //
I don't know what to do, I was under the impression that I would be in the same class as Lucy. My whole life since I could remember, I have been following and assisting Lucy with her endeavors. That's how it has always been though, this world revolves around her. Everyone that she meets is beneath her in some way, she's always the topic of conversation.
Now that i'm in an unfamiliar environment, Lucy's name has yet to come up. I thought that Lucy was the one who needed me to support her, but after a mere 8 hours away from her I don't know what to do with myself.
I have no direction, I have never done anything for myself. If not Lucy, then what is the meaning in life. I only have one order, i'm supposed to pretend that I have no connection to Lucy or Ryuen as we are in different classes.
Wait, there was one more order wasn't there? That's right... I must give Lucy a challenge, but what is that challenge? There is only one way to find out I guess, I'll ask someone for her new phone number later and text her.
Even though I thought that I was there to support Lucy, it seems without her that I am empty. Maybe she was there to support me this whole time? She gave me purpose and I will do anything to repay her, I will give her the challenge of her life!
// Class C, 3rd POV //
~Bang!~
A green haired figure went flying into a desk, around that green haired individual was four other people, three boys and one girl. The others in the class watched on in fear as a purple haired tyrant turned around to fight his last opponent, a tall, muscular black man wearing a pair shades.
The tyrant had attempted to declare that he was the 'leader' of class C. That hadn't gone over very well with a few of the people in their class and it evolved into a fist fight, it's a wonder how the tyrant known as Ryuen is still going.
He has beaten 5 students up already and wants to fight the seemingly foreign boy as well, said foreign boy seems to have gained a slight respect for him. the boy, Albert had no problem with Ryuen being class leader to the tyrant's annoyance. He was looking forward to a tough opponent.
"Anybody else got a problem with me the leader?"
There where many who shook their heads in fear of being the next person lying on the ground.
"Tch, what a bunch of pussy's"
// Class A, 3rd POV //
At the front of the classroom where two individuals, one a tall bald man and the other a short lilac haired girl using a cane to hold her up. They where having an intense debate about who would be the better class leader, currently the class was split into two sides. One was named the Katsuragi faction, and the other, the Sakayanagi faction.
The Sakayanagi faction was only slightly larger than the Katsuragi faction, however this debate would not end for another 2 to 3 months. It looks as though class A are off to a bad start.
And that's a wrapps, it is confirmed that Lucy is in class B and Miyu has been placed in class D.
I thought it be best to split Lucy and Miyu up as it just seemed unlikely that Lucy could be placed in class D. Also I thought Miyu couldn't be placed anywhere other than class D as she was just an 'extra' placement as is seen by the school.
Do you think these are fair placements?
