Ancient Library of Dies Irae- II

Saad eagerly retrieved the second piece of the key from his inventory and wasted no time in tapping on the pieces to join them together. The message window showed up, asking for affirmation and with a swift confirmation, the broken fragments were summoned into the air from his inventory, enveloped in a shimmering silver light as they floated magically.

As Saad watched in awe, the two pieces of the rusted key gradually aligned, and ancient runes began to surface around the broken pieces, illuminating the key with their ethereal glow. Slowly but surely, the key underwent a transformation, its tarnished surface morphing into a lustrous satin brass.

The bow of the key took on a rounded shape, adorned with intricate circles and a captivating blue stone at its center. Along the stem, two circles of runes were engraved, their meaning was unknown and Saad didn't really care either.

Despite the near detachment of the pin, it remained connected by an invisible force that was like delicate silver particles suspended in air.

However, to Saad's surprise, there were no key wards present, leaving him pondering the significance of this omission as he marveled at the newly restored artifact.

[Snow Fruit x100], [Chest of Money], [Potion of Resilience], [Chest of Advancement], [Arcanum Eternity]

He held back from checking the items, even though he really wanted to check the snow fruit and that Arcanum eternity but by now he felt awfully thrilled about the ancient library to check it because these items were already in his inventory.

So Saad quickly checked for next clue because even though he had the key to the ancient library, there was no sign of it.

["There ruins on the key were strange and as I checked them and traced with my finger, perhaps that's the way?"]

So Saad who had been holding the key all the while, put his finger on the ruins and that made him feel a sharp pain, much like he had felt when he had gotten his adventurer's pass and the drop of blood seemed to be absorb and then blue stone in the middle lit up and that's when the next clue appeared in front of him.

[There are too many strange symbols on the pillars. Is the direction west?"]

Saad looked up quickly but had to circle around the pillar to see that all the pillars had symbols on them which he couldn't read but each symbol looked as if it was slowly turning into next color and as Saad followed the west direction, and stopped in front of giant statues, the next clue appeared.

["The statues look incomplete."]

Saad blinked as he stared at the statues. Since his body was that of child, he could barely even reach their proper height and he had to step away to look at them and he saw that there was a shoes missing from one of them and the other one was hiding his one eyes and the third one was rather obvious because there was no arm.

Saad had always found statues incredibly creepy even in movies and so seeing them up close was just scaring him. Even though it was just a game, he kept forgetting it because of the 100% synchronization.

A message window showed up with blank in front of all three of them and Saad spoke up, which filled the blanks automatically, "A shoe is missing from the farmer's statue, the witch is missing an eye?" He quizzically spoke and the writing turned red and then vanished, which meant that he had said wrong.

Saad had to rethink. He had thought it would be easy but it wasn't but while he was looking at the statue, a notification showed up.

[The Farmer is grateful.]

Saad ignored the message since it seemed irrelevant. As he continued to search, he grumbled since he couldn't understand just what would be missing in it. It was a statue of a witch who was holding a basket full of glass jars which were made up of stone but after close inspection, Saad realized that there was space for another bottle and he decided to check that. "The witch is missing a potion bottle." And as he said that a message window showed up.

[The witch of fortune smiles.]

Saad let out a breath and quickly spoke, "The warrior is missing an arm." And thankfully, the message window showed up.

[The warrior is shocked.]

The messages were weird, but Saad didn't have more time to think as the final clue lit up.

["The three statues are guardians of the library! How strange is it?!"]

Saad stood there, pondering the significance of the guardian statues. Were they meant to be overcome, defeated in some manner? His thoughts raced as he observed the statues beginning to crumble, their stony forms shifting and melding together to form a solid stone door. Saad watched in awe as the transformation unfolded before him, captivated by the spectacle.

Suddenly, a message window appeared before him, interrupting his musings.

[Achievement unlocked! You have discovered a trace of myth! You are the first player to discover an ancient library.]

Reputation +1000

Experience points +5000

[Your existence grows stronger!]

[You have leveled up!]

[You have leveled up]

+2 Spheres, +20 Stat Points, +10 SP, +2 Silver reward chest

Saad was flabbergasted by how quickly he was gaining levels. He had gained 5 levels today without even doing much! He was already at level 24!

Saad's focus shifted entirely to the imposing door before him, its grandeur dwarfing him in comparison. With the key clutched firmly in his hand, he approached the door, marveling at its intricate round patterns that mirrored those on the key itself.

There were no handles or visible seams on the massive door, giving it the appearance of a seamless slab of stone. Nevertheless, Saad inserted the key into the lock, and with a small click, the initiation of blue runes appeared on the surface.

As if responding to the key's command, intricate magical circles materialized on the door, causing it to slowly swing open of its own accord. A rush of deep woody scent wafted out, filling Saad's nostrils as he gazed upon the expansive expanse of the library beyond.

He took the key out and stored it away in the inventory before he stepped inside the library and looked around in awe and then suddenly he heard the sound of door closing and the door he had come in from, closed on its own, disappearing from the sight.
