"Really?" Luigi chuckled. "How funny, I don't remember anything like that."
His words almost made Evelyn cry out of helplessness. She remembered everything to the day.
As much as she needed the presence of someone like her father she knew that he wasn't available but her aunt's were there. They had ignored her as they paid their respects to her mother and her father.
Evelyn remembered that as clearly as if it were happening in front of her right now.
But she was also looking at her cousin who was clearly enjoying what she was feeling. She was better than him and Evelyn was well aware of it. Even if she was what one would call naive in this world, she was not cruel unlike her cousin but she could use her brain.
"It's alright if you don't remember it, Luigi." Evelyn gave him a small smile no longer trying to instigate him in return. "However, if you must excuse me. I need to get a few things done for the day."
