Adrian grabbed her jaw, squeezing her cheeks together, he made her shut her mouth. “Listen to me carefully, Brat,” he whispered, bringing his face closer to hers, “You better hope I don’t say yes to this proposal of your father. Because if I do, I will be shipping your ass off to a behaviour correction facility as the first thing.” Ignoring the sneer on her lips, Adrian patted her cheek forcefully, just for fun, before turning around and leaving her alone in the corner. “It’s on,” she vowed, “I’ll fucking set you on fire.” ***** Joyce O’Sullivan, 19 years old, a perfect age to get married and settled according to her family members, according to the church they went to, and according to the whole society that she did not give a damn about. Fear - I

Adrian stared at the bag Filled with money he was here to collect. "Is that it? Just one bag and you could not do it yourself? Should I break your legs for you since they look completely fine."

"S-sir," the man whimpered, "do-don't kill me, p-please.."

Adrian rolled his eyes. It was a wonder to him how people could ever conduct their business successfully when they could not even hear something well.

The cafe definitely had to be a cover for money laundering business. The man did not have an ounce of business blood and him.

Back to the words he said, He had clearly stated that he was going to break his legs, killing him had never been mentioned by him.

"Smith," Adrian waved his hand at him to set up and pointed at the chair next to him. "I am here just for the money. I do not like delays and there's only so much that I can tolerate. Do you understand that?"

"Yes, sir!"

He closed his eyes for a second before breathing loudly. Now he acted like a soldier, before that he was someone begging for mercy.

Was it just him or were people unnecessary stupid what he was annoyed the most? He would rather be at his office but collecting money was the last task on his hands.

"Keep the bag outside, James. We will be a minute."

Once the door was closed after the bank was kept outside, Adrian leaned forward in his chair. "What is it that everyone has started thinking? The lag in making payments should have never existed and do not make me start with you, Smith. The lesson will be remembered for generations." He warned and fear flashed in the eyes of the man.

He nodded immediately and the conversation was punished. Adrian did not bother to continue it anymore.

He was sure that this was going to be relayed to everyone else.

James opened the door for him, he also picked up the bag on his way out. Since it was a pastry shop, he had expected to see people he did not know and had never seen, but he felt an insane pull from a certain direction making him look up.

Green eyes.

Joyce O'Sullivan.

"Sir?"

"What is she doing here?" Without thinking, Adrian spoke before his eyes went to the man sitting across from her. A boy. She was here with a boy.

"Well, I think—"

"Let's go." Hey interrupted James and without waiting for an answer from him, walked towards the entrance of the shop. His car was already out front and the driver was holding the door for him. It only took seconds before they were on the road again.

"Feel something for her?" James teased.

Adrian Did not even bother giving him a reaction. "She has no idea what she's going to cost a boy. He will die as collateral damage once her father gets to know."

"Did he offer you a virgin bride?"

"Virgin brides are all there is, my friend." Adrian sighed. "All there is." He murmured. For her sake, he hoped that she had not slept with him otherwise, the boy was going to be killed.
