The Grand Crusade initiated by Holy Pope Urban II has failed. The armies of the Cross has failed to retake the Holy City and was hunted by the heathens. Those who had some kind of choice defected, surrendered or simply took their life to save themselves from serving those they considered malevolent. Lord Wren and his band of wolves were one such party, defeated and battered, they joined the heathens, not for gold but for survival.
