Chapter 145 Into The Phoenix Chamber Part 25

Hajime, who was standing behind the others, realized that the enemy's full attack would cause a lot of damage, so he threw the green shield in front of the other three. He tried his best and used all his strength to block Onon's attack.

Onon struck with all his strength at the men standing a few feet away from him. The force of Onon's attack pushed the four of them from the center of the clearing all the way into the trees several feet away.

As Onon charged at the men a second time, the green shield protecting the men began to crack.

Yul looked at Abrafo and said, "After this attack, prepare to attack. He is trying to kill someone with this blow."

Abrafo gripped the hilt of the sword tightly and grunted. "I'm ready," Abrafo said.

Lixin looked at Yul and said, "I'm ready too."

In the third attack Onon used ninety percent of his power to cause full damage to those on impact. Onon's head hit the green shield, shattering it into pieces. Yul, Abrafo, and Lixin stepped aside while Onon continued to charge directly at Hajime. Yul grabbed Onon's tail to slow Onon down. Abrafo swung his sword towards the second left leg, while Lixin aimed at the front right leg. Onon turned his body and threw Yul into the air, then he jumped up to stab Yul with his horns.

Hajime's bangle returned to his hand, he threw the bangle to Onon's head, clenched his right fist, and the magic rope appeared around Onon's neck. Hajime pulled the rope hard to the right, causing Onon's head to turn to the right and missed Yul.

Yul braced himself with his right hand and kicked Onon's chest. He took out the sword from the scabbard with his left hand and swung it directly towards Onon's chest. Yul stood up quickly, preparing to defend against Onon's attack.

With Yul's attack, Onon stumbles back to the tunnel entrance, transforming back into human form, holding his axes in his hands. Onon looked down at his chest and found a wound on his chest. The long gash ran from the middle of the chest to the left side of his abdomen. Onon saw his blood flowing from his upper abdomen to his lower abdomen. Seeing the blood flow made Onon even more angry. He launched an attack on the mortals who had the upper hand. He grabbed hold of the magic rope tied around his neck. Onon's eyes followed the magic rope to Hajime's hands who was holding the magic rope behind the three people on the opposite side. Onon knew that in his original state, he would have more power; although he had the upper hand in strength, his defensive ability would not be comparable to the comprehensive strength of the mortals.

Onon said angrily, "No wonder you beat the doorman, you are quite capable." He gnashed his teeth and still stared at Hajime crossly. "I'm not a dog! Let go of your leash!" He grabbed the magic rope and pulled the rope towards him with all his strength.

Following Onon's pull, Hajime flew forward past Yul, Abrafo, and Lixin. The palm of Hajime's left hand quickly opened and closed, and the bangle soon appeared on Hajime's left hand. He threw the bracelet towards Gang and the others, forming the same magic circle on the men again, and he landed in front of Yul.

Onon roared angrily at the mortal, and he charged at Hajime with his axes. Hajime quickly retreated, while Yul rushed forward, blocking Onon's ax attack. Onon swung his left ax to Yul's right side, but his ax attack was blocked by Lixin. Abrafo swung the sword to Onon's left side. Onon then kicked Yul in the abdomen, causing Yul to stagger back two steps. Only then did Onon avoid Abrafo's sword. At this moment, Lixin grabbed the small dart from his waist and stabbed Onon in the right thigh. In pain, Onon released his strength, and his internal force pushed Yul, Abrafo, and Lixin back. However, because Onon's left double-edged ax was still tightly hooked on Yul's sword, Yul was not pushed away with Abrafo and Lixin.

Onon took the opportunity to swing his ax at Abrafo. When Abrafo raised his sword to block the axe attack from Onon, Onon kicked Abrafo, but Abrafo quickly blocked Onon's kick with his arm, causing him to slide into the bushes. Onon swung his left ax at Yul, but Lixin quickly rushed from the right to Onon's left, blocking Onon's double blade axe with his sword. Onon's axe disappeared quickly, Onon punched Lixin hard on the chest, and Lixin fell to the ground. Onon raised his foot and stepped hard on Lixin's left leg.

The participants within the protection of the bangle looked at each other.

"You guys want to help?" the injured participant asked the remaining people around him. He waited for a while, but none of those people responded. "Really good."

Both uninjured and injured men rushed out of the protective bangle. The uninjured man swung his sword at Onon, while the injured man pulled Lixin toward the bangle. Onon kicked the uninjured man in the abdomen, causing him to fly a few yards away and land on the ground beside Hajime, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Lord Lixin, can you stand up?" asked the injured participant.

"Yes," Lixin said, trying his best to stand up.

Hajime looked down at the man. "Are you alright?" Hajime asked as he helped the man stand up. The man coughed and spat out more blood. "Take Lord Lixin and stand beside the protection of my bangle. I will raise the bracelet to let you in."

The participants stood up and quickly rushed towards Lixin and his friend.

"Lord Lixin, let's go in," one of the participants asked.

Lixin looked at Gang then at Yul and others who were still fighting fiercely with Onon. Lixin said coldly, "I would rather die than hide cowardly behind others." He looked at the two people who risked their lives and stepped out of the protection of the bangle to saved him. "You go in."

The men looked at Lixin, and one of them said, "Our thinking are the same as of Lord Lixin. We would rather die fighting with everyone than live in guilt for the rest of our lives."

Abrafo groaned in pain and walked towards Hajime. Abrafo gritted his teeth and muttered angrily, "Son of a bitch... you very pissed me off."

Hajime grabbed the wooden figure in the cross bag, slid his thumbnail across his middle finger, smeared blood on the wooden figure's forehead, and then threw the wooden figure towards Onon.

When the female wooden figure flew towards Onon, a shining ball of light flew out of the female wooden figure. The orb slowly turned into Lan Huan, and five vines shot out from her fingers, hitting Onong directly. Onon blocked the five vines with his hands. More vines sprouted from the ground and wrapped themselves around Onon, pulling Onon off the ground and slamming him into the tunnel entrance. A vine rose from the ground and grabbed Yul, pushing Yul backward towards Hajime and Abrafo.

Yul stood up slowly. "Lady Huan?" He looked at Lan Huan and then at Hajime. "How?"

Hajime said, "I'll tell you later."

Onon slowly stood up, and at this moment a loud noise sounded in the ears of everyone standing in front of the tunnel, and they saw many tunnels beginning to collapse.

Abrafo said, "This is not good."

Yul asked, "Why?"

Abrafo's face turned pale. "Michio and U-ri are still in one of the tunnels," he said, heart sinking with worry.

Yul sighed with a heavy heart, "Hopefully they've gotten out, or entered a tunnel that wasn't affected."

Running down the long tunnel, being chased by many scorpions, Michio knew that in this tunnel, the scorpions chasing him would have the upper hand. If the others continued to wait for him, everyone would die.

Michio swung his spear and killed a scorpion that leapt at him. His attack knocked the scorpions back into the swarm of scorpions that were chasing them.

Michio stopped and shouted, "Go... I will hold them back."

U-ri stopped and said, "No... Michio we must go together."

Michio said, "Just go. Your Highness, please take U-ri to Abrafo."

U-ri shouted, "Michio!"

Bong grabbed U-ri's hand and began to pull him away. "Come on, old man, you can't help him. Don't let his sacrifice be in vain," Bong said, pushing U-ri forcibly forward towards Shi.

"No!" U-ri said, refusing to go any further.

Shi said, "You can't help him, just leave."

"U-ri, leave now. I'll feel better if you leave," Michio shouted as the scorpion began to approach.

Seeing that U-ri refused to leave Michio, Bong knew that he would not be able to take U-ri away. He needed to come up with something quickly.

"You said this powder can make fire, right?" Bong said, grabbing the bag U-ri had gave him earlier.

"Yes," U-ri said.

Bong said, "You two run away to the end of the tunnel as fast as you can."

Shi asked, "Your Highness, what are you planning to do?"

Bong said with a wicked smile, "I'm going to burn them alive and take us to a safe place. Now, run as fast and as far as you can. I don't know if this thing will explode."

Shi grabbed onto U-ri's hand and the two began to run away. They knew they had to find a different tunnel to hide in to prevent themselves from the scorpions and from being burned alive in case the bag exploded.

U-ri quickly said, "Stop! Stop! Stop!"

Shi stopped and asked, "What?"

U-ri said, "Take this tunnel. There seems to be light at the other end."

Shi turned back to looked at Michio and Bong. He shouted, "The first tunnel on the right." He pushed U-ri into the tunnel. "Go."
