League Tournament Conclusions!

The episode starts with what kicks off after the previous episode with Lance in the hospital room with Jessie and her friends, about to deliver some bad news. "I just received some unfortunate news about the league tournament finals…"

"What is it, Lance?!" Jessie said, worried a little.

Lance continued explaining the unfortunate news. "During when you were unconscious at the hospital. The league administrators were discussing what happened in the previous battle and whether to continue the finals with Jessie vs. Lawson or just cancel it altogether. They decided on the doctor's orders."

The doctor walks towards Jessie. "Jessie, I'm sorry to say this but… your injuries from the gunshots were too critical and you need some time to heal."

Lance takes a breath, not wanting to say this sentence. "So that's why the league administrators decided that the league tournament finals are canceled and Lawson will automatically be crowned the winner."

Jessie and everyone else all had their jaws dropped, yelling in disbelief. "WHAT?!"

"That's bullshit!" Jessie yelled out in frustration.

"Jessie! Language!" Miyamoto reminded her.

"Sorry Mom, I'm just a little mad. I had no other choice but to battle Samantha or Leaf and I would've died! All I'm doing is just commanding my Pokémon on what attack they should use! Why do you have to cancel the finals?!" Jessie asked in disbelief.

"Because Jessie, you have to stay here at the hospital for your injuries to heal. If you go out there to battle, you're putting yourself at risk of those bullet wounds being possibly infected." The doctor answered.

"Look, Jessie, if you somehow magically feel all better tomorrow before the congratulation ceremony, maybe the administration will reverse the call at the last second, but until now, it's going to be like that. I'm sorry Jessie, I am." Lance turns around and exits the room, and the doctor follows along.

Jessie looks down as her friends, mom, and Professor all look at her, feeling bad from seeing Jessie being sad.

The title screen shows.

"League Tournament Conclusions!"

Jessie begins crying. "I-I can't believe this. Me and my Pokémon worked so hard to reach this far, but only to go out like this?!"

"I'm so sorry Jessie, you don't deserve this at all," Domino says with a sad expression.

Azurill looks sad too, saying its cry, less energetic. "Azurill…"

"We had no idea that you were going into some death battle. It wasn't your fault." James says, also having a sad expression.

Leaf tries to cheer Jessie up as she smiles, hugging her. "I don't care if they crown this Lawson guy the winner. Jessie, you saved my life and I will forever be grateful. In my book, you're the true winner of this league tournament."

Miyamoto also smiles. "Yeah, sweetie. You will always be the winner of the league tournament in my book! I'm so proud of you, honey."

Jessie starts to feel better from Leaf's words as she hugs back. "Thank you, Leaf. Thank you, mom."

Once Jessie and Leaf are done hugging each other, Professor Oak approaches her granddaughter. "Well Leaf, shall we head back to Pallet Town?"

"Right! I got to get ready to explore Johto!" Leaf waves goodbye at Jessie. "Bye, Jessie! I'll see you around Johto next time, right?"

Jessie chuckles in response, giving her a thumbs up. "Better believe it! She then waves goodbye back.

Once Professor Oak and Leaf leave the room, Domino then yawns. "We should head back to the hotel, James."

James then also yawns. "Domino! You made me yawn too! Although we should head back. Are you coming, Ms. Miyamoto?"

Miyamoto shakes her head. "I would like to stay with my daughter, but thank you!"

"Alright then! Let's go, Domino!" James says.

Domino and James then also proceed to leave the room. After doing so, Jessie looks down and sighs. "Meowth isn't gonna like the news once I tell him."

"Sweetie…" Miyamoto starts caressing her daughter's hair. "You and Meowth did your best in the tournament, it's just that you were put in an unfortunate situation where you had to battle and get hurt. I'm sure Meowth will understand in the long run." She smiles.

Jessie smiles back and nods. "Thanks, Mom, I love you."

"I love you too, sweetie. Let's get ready to go to sleep, so your body can rest some more." Miyamoto suggested.

The scene cuts to Jessie sleeping in her hospital bed as Miyamoto is sleeping on the chair next to the bed. A few seconds pass and a twinkle of light causes Jessie to slowly wake up. "Huh? What's that?"

A familiar pink, bipedal Pokémon to Jessie floats up towards her. "Mew!"

Jessie gasped at the sight of Mew floating beside her. "Mew?!" Jessie realizes that she's in the same room with her sleeping mother and whispers this time. "It's been a while. What are you doing here?"

Mew begins glowing white and a little white ball of energy comes out and starts heading towards Jessie, once she absorbs the orb, Jessie feels one hundred percent better like she isn't injured at all. "I-I feel so much better now. Thank you so much, Mew!"

Mew nods and cries cheerfully. "Mew!" The little pink Pokémon floats out of the room.

Jessie starts grinning and clutches her fist. "I'm ready for you now, Lawson!"

The scene cuts to tomorrow as the door to Jessie's room opens and Meowth walks in. "Hey guys, I'm feeling so much better now!" He looks to see that Miyamoto is hugging her daughter.

"It's a miracle! My daughter is all better!" Miyamoto shouted out.

Jessie rubs the back of her head, embarrassed. "Mom, please don't." She looks over to see Meowth. "Hey, Meowth! Are you ready to battle Lawson?"

Meowth grins, showing his sharp claws. "Boy am I! Let's go!"

The scene cuts to the Indigo Stadium with Lawson and Lance both on the battlefield. The Champion has a golden championship trophy in his hands, about to present it. "Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, due to Jessie's injuries, we have to skip the league tournament finals." The crowd did not like it one bit, erupting in large boos. "I know, I didn't like this decision too, but I'm just following orders from the administration. So, I would like to present the Kanto League Tournament trophy to the official winner… Lawson!"

Lance was about to hand Lawson the trophy when the champion heard a familiar feminine voice. "WAIT!"

Lance stops and turns around, it was Jessie with Meowth, who sprinted to the battlefield and made it just in time. "Jessie?! You look better already!"

"Lance, I'm fully healthy now, I can battle! Please don't cancel the finals!" Jessie begged.

"Yeah! The girl is all better now! Let her battle the finals, champ!" Meowth added.

The crowd erupts in cheers and starts chanting throughout the stadium. "Let them battle! Let them battle! Let them battle!"

"As the crowd is saying, let them battle!" Lorelei's voice was heard as she walked onto the stadium with a smile.

"Yeah! This whippersnapper seems pretty healthy to me!" The sound of Agatha is also heard, walking onto the stadium as well.

"It would be such a shame if the finals get canceled. The administration should let them battle!" Bruno also joins the stadium while crossing his arms.

And finally, Will also joins the stadium with the rest of the Elite Four members. "I have known Jessie since we met in high school and I was rooting for her to win from the very start of this league tournament! Lance, we should give the crowd they want and have a Lawson vs. Jessie, league tournament finals!"

Jessie looks down and smiles, shedding a tear. "Thank you all so much!"

As the crowd continues chanting "Let them battle!" Lance starts talking into his earpiece. "Okay, got it, I will announce it." The champion holds the microphone close to his mouth. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have received some news from the administration…" The crowd immediately goes silent to see what Lance has to say. He pauses for a few seconds before saying it. "The league tournament final battle between Lawson and Jessie is back on schedule and it's happening right now!"

The crowd exploded in loud cheers as the shows in said crowd, with Domino, James, and Miyamoto grabbing their seats. "Jessie is fully healed, Miyamoto?!" Domino asked in shock.

Miyamoto immediately nods in response. "Yep! My sweetie's injuries healed all night, it's a miracle!"

Azurill cries in joy from seeing Jessie feeling better. "Azurill! Azurill! Azurill!"

"It's a miracle indeed! Thank goodness you told us, Ms. Miyamoto, right in time so that we don't miss it!" James chuckles.

Somewhere else in the crowd, a disguised Team Rocket takes their seats. "Free seats and we get to see a battle too? What a steal!" Cassidy said with a smirk.

"Why are we even watching this battle? Should we go back to plotting on stealing the twerpette's talking Meowth?" Butch asked, confused.

"Butch, you should relax and stop worrying about plotting right now! We almost lost our lives to a bomb, we deserve a break!" Mondo says.

Butch crosses his arms and looks away. "I guess you're right."

The scene cuts back to the battlefield with Lawson and Jessie shaking hands to show signs of respect for each other. "Good luck in the battle, Jessie," Lawson said.

"Thanks, Lawson. Good luck to you too!" Jessie replied by wishing him luck as well.

Once Lawson and Jessie both walk over to their sides of the battlefield, Lance has the two colored flags in his hands. "To make these finals a little more exciting, I'll be the referee for this match! Lawson has heads and Jessie has tails!" The champion flips a coin, catching it as it displays the tail of Pikachu on top. "It is tails, which means Lawson will send out his Pokémon first. Good luck to both trainers and may the battle begin!"

Lawson pulls out an Ultra Ball. "Dragonite, take the stand!"

Dragonite materializes and battle cries.

Jessie stares directly at Lawson's Dragonite and speaks inside her mind. "That's the same Dragonite that saved Meowth from Team Rocket on the first day of the league tournament." She starts recalling a flashback of Dragonite saving Meowth.

The flashback starts with Team Rocket celebrating, thinking they finally stole Meowth until the sound of a Dragonite spooks them and the dragon Pokémon flies into their hot air balloon to create a hole, causing it to spiral out of control, causing Butch to drop Meowth and send Team Rocket blasting off. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET IS BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding! Meowth was falling, but Dragonite flew under to catch him in midair as the flashback ended.

"Lawson is using his Dragonite in the first round." Domino pointed out.

"If I recall from what I heard around the league, Lawson always ends his battles with Dragonite at the very end of the battle," James added.

Jessie pulls out a Poké Ball "If he's starting with Dragonite, then I'll start with you, Blastoise!" She sends out Blastoise to face off against Dragonite.

Blastoise materializes. "Blastoise!"

Jessie commands the first move of the round. "Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"

Blastoise releases powerful streams of water from its cannons right toward Dragonite.

"Dragonite, Hyper Beam!" Lawson countered.

Dragonite roars as an orange ball of energy forms in front of Dragonite's mouth and then fires a beam of energy from the ball at Blastoise, completely decimating the Hydro Pump and hitting the shellfish Pokémon. A huge explosion happens and Blastoise is already down and out from the battle.

Lance holds up the red flag. "Blastoise is unable to battle, the winner of this round is the red corner!"

Cassidy spits out her drink in shock. "Look at that! That Lawson guy's Dragonite just took out the twerpette's Blastoise with one hit!"

"Maybe we should try to steal that powerful Dragonite!" Butch grins evilly.

"I like what you're thinking, Butch." Mondo laughs.

Jessie had her eyes wide open that her Blastoise had already fainted from just one move. "That Dragonite… it's powerful." She says to herself.

"Um Jess, what's your strategy against that monster?!" Meowth questioned in shock.

"Blastoise, return!" Jessie recalls Blastoise back in its Poké Ball before pulling out a different one. "Rapidash, you're next!"

Rapidash materializes. "Neigh!"

Lawson commands the first move of the round this time. "Dragonite, use Dragon Breath!"

Dragonite roars and then releases a thick, green beam at Rapidash from its mouth.

"Dodge it with your Agility, Rapidash!" Jessie countered.

Rapidash completely disappears, dodging the Dragon Breath, and then reappears at another location on the battlefield.

Jessie immediately commands her next move. "Now use Stomp!"

"Neigh!" Rapidash leaps into the air and starts descending to the air to try to stop Dragonite.

Lawson immediately counters. "Now Hyper Beam!"

Dragonite roars out loud before opening its mouth and an orange ball of energy forms, releasing it directly towards Rapidash and hitting the fire horse Pokémon while it is in the air.

"NEIGH!" Rapidash cries in so much pain before crashing down in the air and fainting from the battle.

Lawson holds up the red flag. "Rapidash is unable to battle. Therefore the winner of this round goes to the red corner!"

"Rapidash, return!" Jessie recalls Rapidash back in its Poké Ball and pulls out a different one. "That Hyper Beam is too powerful. But this Pokémon isn't affected by it. Gengar, I choose you!" She sends out Gengar next to battle this Dragonite.

Gengar materializes. "Gengar!"

"Good choice on Jessie's end. Due to Gengar's Ghost typing, Dragonite's powerful Hyper Beam doesn't affect Gengar." James stated.

"Maybe Gengar is the most likely choice to take down Dragonite." Domino also stated.

Azurill starts getting worried with a worried expression on its face. "Azurill…"

Miyamoto is watching the battle with a determined look on her face. "Come on, sweetie, you can do this."

"Looks like we have to find another way to take down Gengar, Dragonite. Fly up in the air and use Wing Attack!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite spreads its wings and starts flying in the air before both of its wings start glowing and descend towards Gengar, about to strike the shadow Pokémon.

"Use Hypnosis and put that Dragonite to sleep, Gengar!" Jessie countered.

Gengar looks directly at Dragonite and then its eyes start glowing red.

"Dragonite, close your eyes and proceed with the attack!" Lawson countered back.

Dragonite closes its eyes and despite with its eyes closed, the dragon Pokémon still managed to successfully use Wing Attack, striking Gengar with its wings.

"Gengar!" Gengar cries in pain as its eyes return to normal, hitting the ground.

Jessie's eyes widened in shock. "Despite having its eyes closed, that Dragonite was still able to hit Gengar?!"

Lawson immediately commands his next move. "Don't let it get back up! Use Dragon Breath!"

Dragonite roars before opening its mouth and releasing a thick, green beam at Gengar.

Gengar slowly gets up from taking a Wing Attack, but only to get sent back to the ground again by Dragonite's Dragon Breath. "GENGAR!" Gengar screams in pain before fainting from the battle.

Lance holds up the red flag. "Gengar is unable to battle. Therefore the winner of this round goes to the red corner!"

Domino's eyes widened. "I can't believe what I'm seeing! Lawson's Dragonite had yet to take one hit and it just wiped half of Jessie's team!"

"There's gotta be one way to take it down!" James says.

"I know my Jessie can take that Dragonite down! I believe in her!" Miyamoto says, still cheering and believing in her daughter.

Azurill looks scared, so the blue mouse Pokémon closes its eyes and turns around with a scared cry. "Azurill!"

Domino starts petting Azurill. "It's okay, Azurill, Jessie will find a way."

"Gengar, return!" Jessie recalls Gengar back to its Poké Ball, before pulling out a Safari Ball.

"Um, Jess… it would be nice if you could take out at least one of his Pokémon!" Meowth says.

"I'm trying, Meowth!" Jessie replied before sending out his next Pokémon in the Safari Ball against Dragonite. "Scizor, I choose you!"

Scizor materializes. "Scizor!"

Jessie commands the first move. "Scizor, start this battle off with a Swords Dance!"

Scizor crosses its claws, and then multiple swords surround and start circling the pincer Pokémon, boosting its attack by two stages.

"Dragonite, fly up in the air and use Dragon Breath!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite flies up in the air like its trainer commanded it to do before releasing a thick, green beam from its mouth to Scizor.

"Scizor, Double Team!" Jessie countered.

"Scizor!" Scizor makes illusion copies of itself around the battlefield and the Dragon Breath ends up hitting an illusion.

"Dragonite, I know you can find the real one! Use Wing Attack!" Lawson commanded next.

Dragonite swoops down with its wings glowing white and strikes one of the Scizor on the battlefield, but it turns out that was an illusion too as Dragonite roars in confusion.

"Now use Slash!" Jessie commanded.

All Scizor's illusions disappear as the real Scizor is right behind Dragonite with its claws glowing white.

Lawson tries to warn his Dragonite quickly. "DRAGONITE, BEHIND YOU!"

But it was too late, before Dragonite had time to react, Scizor slashed hard directly toward the dragon Pokémon, dealing some damage as Dragonite roars in pain.

Jessie's friends and her mother all smile in delight from seeing Scizor deal damage to Dragonite. "Jessie finally got a hit on Lawson's Dragonite!" Domino pointed out.

Jessie immediately commands her next move. "That's it, Scizor, now use Metal Claw!"

"Scizor!" Scizor's claws start glowing metallic and try to strike Dragonite.

"I don't think so! Dragonite, dodge it by flying up into the air!" Lawson countered.

Dragonite roars and flies up in the air, causing Scizor to strike the air with its Metal Claw.

"Scizor, you fly up in the air too!" Jessie countered.

Scizor also begins flying as both Dragonite and the pincher Pokémon are in the air, having an intense staredown.

"I think this regular battle just became an air battle," Cassidy stated.

"This should become more interesting! I would buy a hot dog right now, but I don't have any money! Mondo, can I borrow seven hundred yen?" Butch asked, holding out his hand.

Mondo scoffs in response. "In your dreams!"

"Dragonite, use Wing Attack!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite's wings glow white and start flying towards Scizor.

"Scizor, use Double Team!" Jessie commanded.

Before Dragonite can strike, multiple Scizor illusions appear in the air and the dragon Pokémon ends up striking one of the illusions.

Jessie uses this opportunity once more and commands her next move. "Now use Slash!"

All the illusions disappear, leaving the real Scizor left, right behind Dragonite as its claws start glowing white, about to strike.

"Dodge it with your Agility, Dragonite!" Lawson countered.

Dragonite disappears as Scizor ends up striking the air and reappears right behind the pincher Pokémon.

Lawson immediately commands his next move. "Hyper Beam!"

Jessie warns Scizor and immediately counters. "Scizor, right behind you, and use Double Team!"

"Scizor!" Scizor quickly turns around to see Dragonite with its mouth open and getting ready to use Hyper Beam. The pincher Pokémon quickly makes illusions of itself, surrounding Dragonite, but unfortunately, as Dragonite roars and fires its beam of energy, the dragon Pokémon starts destroying every illusion around it before finally hitting the real Scizor.

"SCIZOR!" Scizor screams in so much pain from getting hit by Dragonite's Hyper Beam. The pincher falls and hits the ground, fainting from the battle.

Lance holds up the red flag. "Scizor is unable to battle. The red corner takes this round!"

Jessie's eyes widened in shock. "No way… I thought I had Dragonite with Scizor's Double Team, I guess that isn't enough." She recalls Scizor back in its Safari Ball. "Scizor, return!"

Dragonite lands back on the ground and roars out loud once more to express its dominance on the battlefield.

"With Jessie only having two of her Pokémon left and Lawson still having six left, I don't know Jessie's going to make a comeback here," James says.

Miyamoto turns around to glare at James. "Don't say that! I know my sweetie can do this!"

Domino chuckles. "That motherly love right there."

Jessie pulls out a different Poké Ball. "Alright, Electabuzz, I choose you!"

Electabuzz materializes. "ELEBUBUBU!"

Jessie immediately commands the first move. "Electabuzz, use Swift!"

Electabuzz opens its mouth and yellow stars come out, dealing damage to Dragonite as the dragon Pokémon roars out in pain.

"Wing Attack, let's go!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite's wings glow white and start flying towards Electabuzz.

"Electabuzz, use Zap Cannon!" Jessie countered.

"Dodge it, Dragonite!" Lawson quickly counters.

Electabuzz creates a yellow orb of electricity with its antennas, firing directly at Dragonite, but the dragon Pokémon dodges it by flying out of the way before striking Electabuzz with its Wing Attack. "ELEBUBUBU!" Electabuzz cries in pain from the damage.

Jessie checks up on Electabuzz. "Electabuzz, are you okay?"

Electabuzz gets back up, still able to battle. "ELEBUBUBU!"

Jessie smiles before commanding her next move. "That's what I like to hear! Show that Dragonite how dominant you can be with your screech!"

Electabuzz screeches directly at Dragonite. "ELEBUBUBU!" This causes the dragon Pokémon's defense to lower by two stages.

"Don't get threatened by that little electric tiger. Show them how tough you are with a Dragon Breath, Dragonite!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite opens its mouth and a thick, green beam comes out, heading towards Electabuzz.

"I don't think so! Electabuzz, use Light Screen!" Jessie countered.

Electabuzz puts its hands in front of its body and a yellow glass-like screen of energy appears in front of them, deflecting the Dragon Breath and then it disappears.

Jessie immediately commands her next move. "Now use Swift!"

"ELEBUBUBU!" Electabuzz opens its mouth and releases yellow stars from it, directing toward and hitting Dragonite as it roars in so much pain.

Lawson grits his teeth. "I can't get Dragonite to dodge it because the move Swift never misses. That's a weakness to any Pokémon, even to a powerful Pokémon like Dragonite." He commands his next move. "Wing Attack!"

Dragonite's wings glow white, dashing towards Electabuzz and about to strike.

Jessie counters with the previous move she commanded. "Use Swift once more, Electabuzz!"

Electabuzz releases more yellow stars from its mouth and they end up hitting Dragonite, but despite getting attacked, the dragon Pokémon was still able to pull off the Wing Attack, hitting Electabuzz with one of its glowing wings as both Pokémon take damage from each move.

"Time to end this round once and for all! Dragonite, use Hyper Beam!" Lawson commanded.

Dragonite roars, opening its mouth as an orange ball of energy starts forming inside of its mouth and releasing an orange energy beam directly toward Electabuzz.

Jessie quickly counters with a shout. "ELECTABUZZ, USE LIGHT SCREEN!"

"Hyper Beam is so powerful that even Light Screen can't do anything." Lawson thought in his mind.

As the Hyper Beam gets closer to Electabuzz, the electric Pokémon puts its hands in front of its body and a yellow glass-like screen of energy appears in front of them. As Dragonite's Hyper Beam makes contact with Electabuzz's Light Screen, an explosion happens around Electabuzz, causing smoke to fill Electabuzz's side of the battlefield.

The crowd gasps upon seeing this, including Jessie's friends, her mother, and disguised Team Rocket as the stadium is quiet. "Is it over?" One of the people said in the crowd, breaking the silence.

Lawson crosses his arms with a smirk. "Indeed it is!"

"For your Dragonite! Electabuzz, if you're okay, use Zap Cannon!" Jessie commanded.

"Don't be silly, Jessie, no Pokémon can survive Hyper Beam once it hits! This round is over!" Lawson assumed.

However, a yellow orb of electricity comes out from the smoke and hits directly at Dragonite, causing Lawson to be shocked. "WHAT?!"

Dragonite roars in pain from getting electrocuted and slowly falling towards the ground and officially fainting from the battle. The smoke on Electabuzz's side clears and it's revealed that the electric Pokémon is still standing as it bangs on its chest. "ELEBUBUBU!"

Lance holds up the green flag. "Dragonite is unable to battle, the winner of this round goes to the green corner! Ladies and gentlemen, I like to announce that this is the very first time that someone has defeated Lawson's Dragonite in this league tournament!"

The crowd exploded in cheers as Lawson stood there in shock to see his Dragonite on the ground, completely knocked out. "No way… that Light Screen was able to deflect my Hyper Beam?"

"Yes! Jessie was able to finally take out that Dragonite once and for all!" Domino says with a smile.

Azurill starts watching again, clapping and crying out in joy. "Azurill! Azurill!"

"However, Jessie still has five of Lawson's Pokémon left to take down. It still doesn't look good for her." James stated, this causes Miyamoto to glare once more at him, as James sweats from worriedness. "Wh-what I meant to say is that Jessie will come on top, woo!"

"Don't celebrate yet, Jess. You still have five Pokémon left to take out." Meowth reminded her.

Jessie nods in agreement. "I wasn't planning to. Alright Electabuzz, get ready for the next Pokémon!"

Electabuzz bangs on its chest once more. "ELEBUBUBU!"

Lawson recalls Dragonite back in its Ultra Ball before pulling out a different one. "Charizard, I choose you!" He sends out Charizard next to face off against Electabuzz.

Charizard materializes and roars out loud.

Lawson starts this round with the first move. "Charizard, use Smokescreen!"

Charizard opens its mouth and releases a thick black smoke, surrounding the entire battlefield.

"ELEBUBUBU?!" Electabuzz cries out in confusion and starts looking around.

"Swift should still hit despite the smoke, right?" Jessie thought to herself before commanding her first move of the round. "Use Swift!"

"Use Flamethrower, Charizard!" Lawson countered.

Electabuzz starts turning around over and over, trying to spot Charizard in this smoke, but a stream of fire hits directly Electabuzz as the smoke then clears.

"Oh no, Electabuzz!" Jessie cried out:

Electabuzz slowly gets up, still able to battle, but as the electric Pokémon looks at Charizard's side, Charizard isn't there. "Elebububu?"

"ELECTABUZZ, ABOVE YOU!" Jessie warned.

Electabuzz looks up to see Charizard dashing towards it in the air. "ELEBUBUBU?!"

"Now use your Steel Wing, Charizard!" Lawson commanded.

Both of Charizard's wings glow metallic and strike Electabuzz with both of them. The electric Pokémon cries in pain before fainting from the battle.

Lance holds up the red flag. "Electabuzz is unable to battle. The winner of this round goes to the red corner!"

"No way! Electabuzz was the one that took down Dragonite, yet couldn't land one hit on Charizard! Is it possible that Lawson's Charizard is stronger than his Dragonite?" Domino questioned.

James rolls his eyes and crosses his arms. "Not stronger than my Charizard, that's for sure."

"Electabuzz, return!" Jessie recalls Electabuzz back in its Poké Ball and looks at Meowth. "Alright buddy, it's all up to you. Think you can take out five Pokémon in a row?"

Meowth smirks. "Lizard breath and the rest of his Pokémon don't know what will hit 'em!" He hops to the battlefield, staring directly towards Charizard. "Alright, it's you and me now, lizard breath!"

Lawson commands the first move of the round once more. "Don't let this little Meowth call you names! Use Flamethrower!"

Charizard roars before releasing a stream of fire from its mouth.

"Counter that Flamethrower with a Thunderbolt!" Jessie countered.

Meowth starts quietly talking to himself. "Alright Meowth, remember what Jessie has been training you to do, make your Thunderbolt as strong as the move Thunder!" Meowth's body starts flowing with electricity and releases a powerful bolt of electricity.

As Charizard's Flamethrower and Meowth's Thunderbolt collide, Thunderbolt comes through, destroying the Flamethrower and hitting Charizard as the flame Pokémon roars in pain from getting hit by a super-effective move.

Lawson's eyes widened in shock. "That wasn't an ordinary Thunderbolt if it was able to obliterate my Flamethrower!"

Meowth clutched his paws in excitement. "That's how it's done!"

"Charizard, take it to the skies and use Steel Wing!" Lawson commanded.

Charizard spreads its wings and takes flight in the air as Meowth looks up and starts shaking its paw angrily. "Hey, that's not fair! You can fly and I can't! Get back down and face me, you coward!"

Charizard roars and starts descending towards Meowth as both of its wings glow metallic.

"Meowth, use Slash!" Jessie countered.

Meowth's claws glow white and they come into contact with Charizard's metallic wing, however, due to the huge size difference between Meowth and Charizard, Meowth easily stumbles before getting attacked by Charizard's other metallic wing, flinging him to the ground.

"Meowth, are you alright?!" Jessie called out.

Meowth slowly stands up. "Yeah, I'm fine Jess…"

"Charizard, use Steel Wing again!" Lawson commanded.

Charizard starts swooping down once more with its wings still metallic.

Meowth starts to worry. "Um Jess, I hope you can think of something here!"

"Meowth, quickly, jump onto Charizard's back at the right time!" Jessie countered.

Meowth looks to see Charizard descending towards him, he gulps, and jumps, landing directly on Charizard's back as the flame Pokémon is trying to strike him with one of its metallic wings.

Jessie pumps her fist in the air. "That's it, Meowth! Hang on!"

Charizard starts flying around the battlefield in circles while Meowth desperately tries to hang onto its back. "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"

"Charizard, get Meowth off your back!" Lawson commanded.

Charizard starts shaking its back while in the air, trying to get Meowth off, but the talking Pokémon still hangs on.

"That's it Meowth, hang on! Now use Thunderbolt while you're still hanging on!" Jessie commanded.

While Meowth was still hanging on, his body started flowing with electricity. "Get ready to be zapped badly, lizard breath!

Howard, Charizard begins flying upside down while in circles. Meowth desperately tries to hang on to be able to release his Thunderbolt, but the pressure and the gravitational force of Charizard being upside down causes him to let go and start falling to the ground. "AHHHHH!"

"MEOWTH!" Jessie called out.

"Now's your chance, Charizard! Use Dragon Rage!" Lawson commanded.

Charizard turns back right side up before roaring loudly and then the flame on its tail grows to a huge size. Charizard then forms a ball of fire in its mouth and releases a fiery inferno at Meowth while he is falling to the ground.

Meowth gets hit by the Dragon Rage, causing him to hit the ground faster and harder. A little dust cloud forms around Meowth and then the dust cloud clears, revealing Meowth burnt and completely knocked out as Charizard lands next to Lawson.

Lance holds up the red flag. "Meowth is unable to battle! This means, the official winner of the Kanto League Tournament is and moving on to face the Elite Four and possibly the champion, me, in the Indigo League is…" The champion points directly at Lawson. "Lawson!"

The crowd erupts in cheers as Lawson waves cheerfully at the crowd with a smile on his face. "Thank you! Thank you all so much!" Lawson then looks at his Charizard. "And thank you so much, Charizard. You did great!"

Charizard happily roars back at its trainer.

Meanwhile, Jessie was looking down in defeat with a frown. "I can't believe I lost… all of that hard work to get here for nothing." She sheds one tear before realizing it. "No… don't cry, Jessie, you're in public. Besides, making it to the finals in your first-ever league tournament, that's something!" Jessie walks over to where Meowth is lying on the battlefield.

Meowth slowly looks at Jessie with a frown. "I-I'm sorry I couldn't win you the league tournament, Jess."

"Hey, it's fine!" Jessie picks up her Meowth. "Besides, you might be strong, but I don't think you can knock out five Pokémon in a row." She chuckles.

As Lawson recalls Charizard, he walks over to Jessie with a handshake for good sportsmanship. "That was some battle, Jessie. You did fantastic in your first-ever league tournament!"

Jessie nods and accepts his handshake. "Thank you, Lawson. Good luck against the Elite Four. I hope you can make it through them to face the Indigo Champion!"

Lawson nods back. "And thank you, Jessie."

Lance walks over between them. "Alright you two, go ahead and heal all your Pokémon in the Pokémon Center, come back to the stadium for the award ceremony, and conclude the Kanto League Tournament!"

Both Jessie and Lance nod. "Yes, Lance!" They both said.

Meanwhile, it cuts to the disguised Team Rocket trio in the crowd, grinning at one another. "Shall we proceed with the plan of stealing that strong Dragonite?" Cassidy asked as both Butch and Mondo nodded as the trio sneaked out of the stadium.

The scene cuts to the Pokémon Center where Jessie and Lawson are now as they're waiting for their Pokémon to be healed. The double doors opened and Jessie's friends, her mother, and Lance all walked in.

"Jessie, I'm so proud of you!" Miyamoto immediately hugs her daughter.

"You're still proud of me even though I didn't win?" Jessie questioned.

"Of course, sweetie. I will never not be proud of you ever!" Miyamoto replied.

"And you did so great for your first time as well in the tournament!" James added.

Lance walks towards Lawson with a smirk. "Well, looks I taught you well, Lawson. Let's hope you can defeat the Elite Four so that we can finally battle for the title, Indigo Champion!"

Lawson nods. "I'm looking forward to it, Lance. I have been waiting for years to finally face my teacher and I'm not letting this opportunity slip!"

"Wait, 'teacher'? You mean you both know each other before this whole tournament?" Domino asked.

Lawson nods in agreement. "Yep! Lance used to teach me how to battle when I was little. My wish was to finally battle Lance one day, teacher versus the student!"

"Wow! No wonder why I lost so badly to you, Lawson! You were taught to battle by the Indigo Champion, that's impressive!" Jessie said.

Lawson awkwardly chuckles and rubs the back of his head. "Thank you."

Nurse Joy walks in from the back with Jessie's and Lawson's Pokémon's Poké Balls in a tray and Meowth on her shoulder. "Thank you both so much for waiting. All of your Pokémon have been properly healed!"

Lawson and Jessie both take all of their Poké Balls as Meowth jumps onto his trainer's shoulder. "Thank you, Nurse Joy!" Both Jessie and Lawson said with a bow.

The scene shows the group all leaving the Pokémon Center. "Shall we head back to the stadium for the conclusion of the Kanto League Tournament?" Lance asked.

Jessie and Lawson both nod as Lawson pulls out a Poké Ball. "Dragonite, come on out!" He sends out his Dragonite.

Dragonite materializes and roars happily.

However, before Dragonite can do anything, a bunch of cables come flying in from the air, grabbing Dragonite's arm, and legs, even closing up its mouth, as the dragon Pokémon starts muffling as everyone gasps in shock. "WHAT'S THIS?!" Lawson yelled out in shock as everyone looked in the air where the cables came from.

The gang hears familiar laughter as the cables come from the bottom of a hot air balloon stylized as a red R symbol. A familiar motto to the gang starts being said. "Prepare for trouble!" "And make it double!" "To infect the world with devastation!" "To blind all peoples within every nation!" "To denounce the goodness of truth and love!" "To extend our wrath to the stars above!" Cassidy pops up from the basket. "Cassidy!" Butch follows through, next to her. "And Butch of course!" "We're Team Rocket, circling Earth all day and night!" "Surrender to us now or you will surely lose the fight!" Mondo pops up from the basket in front of them. "I'm Mondo, alright!"

"TEAM ROCKET!" The gang all shouted out. "Back to your old tricks now, huh?" James rhetorically asked.

"Wait a minute!" Lawson recognizes the trio. "Me and Lance saved you three from being blown up to bits! Why are you trying to steal my Dragonite?!"

"Because we're bad, that's why!" Cassidy replied with a laugh.

"But to give our thanks for saving us, we will be taking your Dragonite off of your hands for free!" Butch grins.

"So bye-bye!" Mondo pushes a button and Team Rocket's hot air balloon starts ascending in the air with Dragonite, still trapped in their cables and unable to move.

"Oh no you don't, Team Rocket!" Jessie pulls out a Safari Ball, about to send out Scizor until Lance puts her hand in front of her, stopping her from doing so. "Huh?"

"Jessie, your Pokémon just got healed, I'll take care of them." Lance pulls out a Poké Ball. "Dragonite, I need you to help Lawson's Dragonite!" The champion sends out his Dragonite.

Lance's Dragonite materializes and roars.

"Another Dragonite?!" Cassidy looks at her partners-in-crime with a mouth-open smile. "Say, wouldn't it be nice if we gave our boss two Dragonite instead of one?!"

Butch pumps his fist up in the air. "Then we will surely rise to the Team Rocket ranks that's for sure and then all of the Team Rocket ladies will love me!"

"Um, here's the problem guys, I never thought we would be dealing with two of them, so we don't have any more cables…" Mondo says.

Cassidy growls. "Whatever, one is better than none! Get us out of here!"

"Dragonite, use Wing Attack to break those cables!" Lance commanded.

Lance's Dragonite starts flying towards Team Rocket's hot air balloon with its extremely fast speed and its wings glow white.

"CAN THIS THING GO ANY FASTER, MONDO?!" Both Cassidy and Butch screamed out towards Mondo.

"IT'S GOING AS FAST AS IT CAN!" Mondo screamed back, repeatedly pressing the button.

Lance's Dragonite strikes the cables with its white glowing wings, freeing Lawson's Dragonite from Team Rocket's grasp.

Lawson looks at Lance. "Ready, teacher?" He nods back at his student. "Ready." Both the champion and the student command their Dragonite at the same time. "DRAGONITE, HYPER BEAM!"

Both Lance's and Lawson's Dragonite opened their mouths to fire an orange energy beam at Team Rocket as they were cowardly hugging each other in fear. Once the Hyper Beam hits, it causes the hot air balloon to explode and send Team Rocket blasting off.

The Team Rocket trio is now falling through the air. "We didn't think this through…" Mondo says. "There goes my dream of making out with Team Rocket hotties." Butch sighs in defeat as Cassidy groans. "Get a grip, Butch…" "WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

Domino looks up in the air to where Team Rocket was blasted off. "Again… those guys never learn."

James shakes his head no. "You will always be right with that statement."

"Who were those three people again?" Miyamoto questioned, confused.

"They're not important, Mom," Jessie answered back with a chuckle.

"Since that's now been taken care of, let's head back to the Indigo Stadium to conclude this league tournament," Lance says.

The scene cuts to the Indigo Stadium with Lawson and Jessie in the middle of the stadium. Dragonite is also next to Lawson and Meowth is on Jessie's shoulder. The Elite Four Members walk in with two of them carrying a gold trophy and the two carrying a silver trophy.

Lance was in the middle of the two with a microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, before we conclude the Kanto League Tournament, let's give a round of applause to our runner-up, who managed to get this far in her very first league tournament, Jessie!"

The crowd explodes in cheers as two Elite Four members, Will and Lorelei, hand Jessie the silver trophy. Lorelei whispers to Jessie's ear. "Congratulations." Then she gives her a wink.

Jessie blushes as she accepts the silver trophy from the two Elite Four members. "Th-thank you."

Meowth rolls his eyes. "Give me a break."

Lance then announces the first-place winner. "And let's also give a round of applause to the winner of this year's Kanto League Tournament who will be moving on to face the Elite Four and possibly me, the champion, in the Indigo League. Let's give it up for Lawson!"

The crowd explodes into more cheers as the other two Elite Four members, Bruno and Agatha, hand Lawson the gold trophy and he happily accepts it.

"And to finally conclude this year's Kanto League Tournament, I like to thank every single one of you in the crowd for coming here and watching every trainer give it their all! As for the other participants who battled in this year's tournament, your participation trophy will be sent in the mail to your current address by box! Now please direct your attention to the flame as it slowly burns out to conclude this year's league tournament!" Lance directs everyone to the flame.

The flame slowly fades out and then fireworks start shooting up in the sky behind to conclude the Kanto League Tournament once and for all. The scene cuts to the gang with Miyamoto, leaving the Indigo Plateau with Jessie carrying her silver trophy. "I'm assuming we should head back to Pallet Town by Charizard, correct?" James assumed.

Jessie looks at her silver trophy. "I don't know. This trophy is kinda heavy, I don't know if I'm going to be able to carry it back home while I'm Charizard, I could drop it."

"Don't worry, sweetie. I'll take it off your hands." Miyamoto happily accepts her daughter's trophy. "I'll put it in your room once I get back home."

"Wait, you're not coming with us, Mom?" Jessie questioned.

Miyamoto shakes her head no. "Nope. I'll know the way to get back home, trust me, sweetheart."

"Welp, she said no. Can we leave now so I don't have to look at this place ever again?" Meowth says.

"Not until Jessie says goodbye to her mother, now shush!" Domino says with a glare.

Jessie goes over and hugs her mother. "Thank you so much for coming to watch me battle, Mom. I love you."

Miyamoto hugs her daughter back. "No problem sweetie. I know I said this before today, but I'm so proud of you. Get back to Pallet Town safely, okay?"

Jessie nods. "I will."

The gang and Miyamoto all wave goodbye at each other as the gang starts walking away in the distance. The narrator begins concluding the episode. "Jessie was close to winning, until she came across an unstoppable Dragonite, and a trainer was taught by the very Indigo Champion. But Jessie's not giving up on her dream of becoming a Pokémon Master, as she will use this loss to get stronger next time for the next upcoming league she's aiming for and that will be Johto! As the journey continues!"
