Plans

He rubbed his eyes gently as he sat down on his large bed and thought to himself. He loved his Father he truly did, but memories of Thor being banished to Earth.

Of course Thor did nearly start a war with the Frost Giants, and in the end it was better for the God. But the possibility he could be stripped of grace and divinity and sent to Earth for a lesson in humility was…well quite terrifying.

He would need to get his own resources, he couldn't just be completely reliant on his father.

He sighed as he stood slowly, he will spar with Thor today and then look further into the foundations of magic.

He will never be as good at magic as Loki, but being better than most witches, sorcerers and whatever else they called themselves was entirely possible.

Along with the dragon's magic he was quickly digesting and understanding more as every day had passed. He had been in Asgard just over a month, Thors insistence that he leave and travel had only grown in that time.

He just didn't know where, he had zero real plans at all.

Ideas sure, maybe he could become a mercenary but that would only be a stain on his name. An Asgardian Prince that you can buy to protect you, he'd become a luxury item for the rich to brag about.

Then he had ideas of visiting Earth once more, it could be fun and he could spar with Thena and see how the odd duo were getting along, that wasn't a bad idea but not enough of a plan.

He would likely settle on Earth once again and simply live day to day. His snake's head rose from his shoulder, the red scales glimmering in the morning sunlight pouring through his windows.

"I still haven't named you" Aerion said under his breath as he eyed the mysterious creature that seemed to consume magic, and absorbed it like a sponge.

He scratched underneath the serpent's chin as it seemed to hiss softly in satisfaction, he thought of his fathers two messenger ravens Huginn and Muninn.

They could fly across the nine realm at speeds far beyond most ships, the ravens could speak and were quite the…annoying bastards.

He thought of potential names and turned to the snake "Orm?" He half asked, it was about as dull as he could get.

Just naming his snake, snake in old Norse, wasn't exactly creative. Judging by his snake's sudden vicious hiss and snap of its jaws, it didn't like the name.

Aerion sighed as he scratched underneath the creature's chin "Aye, that name wasn't my best" he said with a chuckle.

He'd figure out a name eventually.

He dodged underneath a screeching hammer, and propelled himself backwards to gain space. Dozens of spears conjured, covered in molten fire that suddenly shot towards Thor from behind Aerion.

Thor simply gathered lightning for but a moment as they were mere feet away Thor's body exploded with a wave of lightning that filled the air with the smell of ozone but sent the spears crashing to the ground.

Aerion was already charging the figure, his spear thrusting towards Thor's centre mass. The spear was smacked away effortlessly by Mjolnir. Aerions form was then left wide open for a large lightning bolt to smack into his chest, sending him rolling backwards with a grunt.

He rolled back to his feet, red lightning sparking around his left palm with flame in his right. His spear laid forgotten in the ground as he smacked his palms together sending a wave of dragon magic infused divine fire to crash towards the Thunder God.

The wave was a dark roaring crackling fire that quickly approached Thor.

Aerion was annoyed when Thor burst through the fire with minor reddening of his skin and charged towards him with his hammer screeching. The hammer swung seeming to distort reality as the divine energy released with an ear shattering boom.

Arcs of lightning suddenly raced at him, he leaned back out of the way of one that raced by his face with a screech that raised the hairs on his neck.

Quickly he had an idea as he threw himself out of the way of even more bolts of lightning, his body exploded in fire that he quickly extinguished leaving the place covered in a light layer of smoke that for just a second hid his body from view.

The smoke cleared and Thor sent a burst of lightning towards the form of Aerion, anticipating horizontal movement he sent two to either side of the teenager that would hopefully catch him unawares only for his eyes to widen as the form didn't move.

No, surely not!?

Magic built around his body ready to let out a burst of lightning but it was too late as suddenly a spear pressed lightly against his neck. Thor groaned, he was annoyed at himself for not instantly realising.

Aerion however was wide eyed, he'd won! He actually won!

"An illusion brother" Thor said as he eyed the flickering illusion, it couldn't even move. How in the Hel did he fall for that!

Aerion's reaction was still wide eyed staring "When did you learn that?" Thor asked as he walked over to the illusion.

Now that he looked closely the illusion was awful, flickering, his clothes lacked texture and the magic in the air was not subtle at all.

Aerion rubbed his eyes in slight wonder "I won" he said stupidly before turning to Thor "I just beat you" he said again with wide eyes.

Thor laughed and suddenly narrowed his eyes "Don't get cocky Brother" his hammer sparked with lightning as his sky blue eyes slid across to Aerions glowing fire orange ones.

Instantly the combat was restarted as they dashed towards each other, the clangs of metal on metal echoing around the courtyard.

Frigga and Loki both watched from an overlooking balcony. "Did you teach him that Loki?" Frigga asked as she watched the fight.

Loki winced "No, that was an atrocious illusion. I shan't take credit".

Frigga sighed "Loki you can't expect him to be as good as you" she said as she watched the fight with keen interest. "Though, that, was…awful" she said with a wince, the only reason Thor fell for it was because he didn't expect it from his youngest brother.

Whereas Odin watched from a different balcony with a smile on his face, it was nice to see his youngest son learning magic.

"I'm going to Midgard" he said at the private dining table, Odin's eye turned to his son in slight curiosity. The boy certainly had a fixation on the planet.

Thor's eyes widened in slight relief "Finally brother!" He shouted boisterously "You must tell me of your battles when you return!" He said as he took a happy sip of ale.

Loki hummed while he wrote notes in a small tome while Frigga smiled "Keep up with your magical studies" she said sweetly.

Aerion nodded "Of course Mother" he really was enjoying magic now that he had put the time into the theory, it was quite fun.

Thor suddenly took a large sip of ale "Brother did I tell you of the time a wolf lady seduced me?" He said loudly as he held back a smirk.

Odin's eye widened in disgust "Thor do you really need to speak of such things!"

Aerion knew of this, Thor simply wanted to annoy Odin. "No brother I don't believe you did" Aerion said while holding back a grin from emerging on his face.

Odin suddenly looked very uncomfortable as Thor described the wolf woman as feral.
