Jack was currently thinking, about how he got into this situation.

Oh the irony, he always liked doing stuff like that, thinking about the situations he was in and how the choices he made affected them.

It was like a game, every choice you make has a logical output.

Again, he was thinking about how he got into this situation. He just woke up from his bed and was thinking this wasn't his apartment.

But it was oddly familiar, he then saw a picture of his recently deceased mother, but he knew that the picture was lost when he moved into his new apartment.

Also, he realized he should be dead, and the rest of the world too.

What's that supposed to mean; he then thought that all this thing's that was happening was getting out of hand.

He quickly jumped off his bed and grabbed his phone, he noticed his phone was different, he was supposed to have an iPhone X.

Even though he wasn't rich, he was a programmer and a fairly well of one too, he made enough money to live leisurely, he even had the iPhone X.

What is this weird screen, he tried swiping at it, but his hand went right through it.

He then realized that even though he didn't have his iPhone X, he did indeed have this phone, but that was a year ago.

He quickly turned on his phone, It was January 1st, 2017, when it was supposed to be 2018 of the same day, and the same month.

It look's like he went a year into the past, he was so confused about how he got here.
