And Then He Became My Youth

*City S Airport*

On the nameplate, Luó Xia was boldly written, and holding it up was the old driver, who served the family for over three decades. He had in his hand, a phone, and on the screen was the WeChat account of the young miss.

After she and her twin brother were sent abroad at the age of seven to gain more exposure, he had to rely on her WeChat to know how she looked.

The old man was just about to take a break when his squinted eyes landed on a scene happening in front of the men's restroom.

He would have just chosen to ignore it but caught a glimpse of who was standing in the middle of the chaos.

"Isn't that Young Miss Luó?" He alternated his glances between his phone and the scene for confirmation. After taking a second glance, the old driver was convinced he had the right person.

He dropped the sign and hurried over to the scene, forgetting how tired he was moments ago.

"Haa? What kind of excuse is that?"

"Do we look like children to you?"

"Someone call the police!"

The old driver arrived at the scene, only to see Luó Xia being fawned over by some women, whilst the men standing around looked repentant.

Without wasting time, he approached the woman, standing two feet away for his safety.

"Young Miss Luó, is that you?" He asked, the women diverted their attention to him and then to the young lady.

"Mei-mei, do you know this old geezer? Or is he trying to act coy with us?" One of the young women asked, holding her phone up, live streaming the entire scene.

The women parted way a bit, allowing the old driver and young miss to see eye to eye.

The old driver was left speechless when he gazed at the girl in baggy black pants, a white crop top and a green jacket slapped over her shoulders. The young miss tipped down her dark shades off the bridge of her nose, revealing round almond-brown eyes. Her neck-length hair was dyed blonde and made her resemble a foreign celebrity. Despite not wearing heels, the young miss was taller than the women flocking around her, which only added to her beauty.

She twisted her lips, her eyes drinking into his features, she reached for her phone and lazily stared at the screen for two seconds.

"He's the one." Her deep sonorous voice casually confirmed, the women sighed in relief and fully parted away, allowing the two to reunite.

They turned to the men with folded arms, "as for you three, you're headed to the station for harassing a little lady in the restroom!" One cried out, placing her phone on the right side of her ear.

"But... didn't we insist that she was the one who came in on her own?!"

"Again with that crap?! We'll make sure this spreads on social media!" The woman videoing everything said, making sure to capture their faces.

The old driver shook his head and thought that men like them were the problem of their country. To think that they could drag a young lady into the men's room!

"Young miss, the car is packed outside." He said, ushering her away from the scene, treating her like he would his grandkids.

The young miss nodded and walked away, not once looking back at the scene.

*An apartment*

The driver parked by the gate, without coming down, hinting he wouldn't be stopping by.

"Young Miss, your luggage arrived yesterday and hasn't been touched as you asked." He informed her, handing over the keys.

"No one came to welcome me?" The young miss asked in disbelief.

Wasn't this the same family that placed pressure to return from the states?

"Chaiman Ma's son is having his engagement party, and the entire family has attended." He informed her, still in shock at how well the young miss turned out.

Save for the chest region, though that was normal for most ladies of her age, still undergoing puberty.

"But rest assured, your mother has promised to accompany you to school tomorrow. She even gifted you this apartment, in consideration of your privacy." The driver swiftly chipped in.

"Ridiculous." The young miss hissed at him and then walked through the gates, retiring into the apartment building.

The driver's jaw dropped, as he drove away, he couldn't help but remember the sweet little girl who used to go around promising everyone she would grow up and become their bride.

Among the twins, the family always doted on Luó Xia, simply because she was friendly and sociable. A sharp contrast to Luó Xiang, who stayed in his room for most of his childhood, never coming out to play unless he was forced into it.

Looking at how the young Miss turned out, the old driver would've believed it if someone had told him that wasn't Luó Xia, but rather her brother playing a cruel prank on the family.

But that in itself was an idea too ridiculous to even be considered.

*Convenient Store*

The sky had turned bright orange and there was no cloud in sight, the young miss had on a blue tracksuit and AirPods on each ear.

After going for a run and getting familiar with the area, Luó Xia stopped at the convenience store two blocks away, to buy some water and chopsticks.

"That'll be five yuan." The peachy voice of the lady behind the counter said.

Young Miss Luó took out her phone and scanned the code, a notification of the deduction popped up on her screen.

She picked up her stuff and turned to leave, but was stopped by the employee. "Miss, we haven't received the payment on our end, you'll either have to wait or pay in cash." She informed her, discreetly admiring the lady's eyes and figure.

Even in a tracksuit, she stood out.

"The fuck?" The beauty swore with an annoyed face, staring at the half-empty bottle of water in her hand.

The employee was taken aback by her deep voice and loose tongue, they didn't fit her angelic features and instead made her look more like a thug.

"Look, it's already been deducted, and I don't have any cash yet."

"But I can't let you leave without paying."

The beauty dropped what she bought, along with her belongings on the table, and started to crack her fingers and stretch her neck.

Was she getting ready for a fight? The employee panicked, she would lose her job if she upset a customer. But would be fired if someone left without paying.

"You can't? I live two blocks away. Is it really a problem?" Luó Xia asked, resting both palms on the table, glaring directly at her.

Her intense stare almost made the employee piss herself, thankfully, she caught sight of her coworker whose shift had just begun, walking into the store.

Relieved if a fight broke out he would protect her, she straightened her back.

"I can't give it to you for free! If you can't pay just leave it!" She snapped with added confidence.

Luó Xia frowned, "and as I said, my house is just around the..."

"Didn't you hear?! Pay up or get lost buddy!" A baritone voice declared from behind Luó Xia, causing the younger person to flinch at their proximity.

The employee grinned in satisfaction at keeping her job, if anyone could handle difficult customers then it was him.

The "Hundred Yuan guru"

He placed one hand on the customer's shoulder, only to part his lips at how slender they were. Subsequently, the customer grabbed his wrist and slammed it against the table, using momentary stun to her advantage.

The employee gasped, seeing the hundred yuan guru get beaten by this thug, and started planning on how to call the police.

"I'm not your buddy." Luó Xia announced harshly, sounding a point not to be touched so casually.

"Tch." The taller man hissed, he curled his other hand into a fist, annoyed to pieces with this kid, at the expense of his job.

He withdrew his wrist and raised his fist over his head, ready to land a neat blow to the customer's jaw. However, once his angry eyes landed on the blonde-haired customer starring daggers right back at him, he left his fist suspended in the air, completely stunned.

Luó Xia used this to her advantage, and kicked the taller man's crotch area using her knee! He pushed his legs together and painfully closed his eyes, using the table for support.

Luó Xia scraped her things off the counter and dashed outside, retreating without paying the money!

"Hey! Thief! Get back!" The female employee cried out, rushing to her co-worker's aid.

Meanwhile, Luó Xia rushed through the gates and dashed into the house, making sure to lock the doors after her.

Once it was only her inside, she reached for her blonde hair and ripped it off her head!
