Lightning Ogre

Matt's whips are trying to attack the ogre with little success. Before the whips can make contact with Tony's skin, the electricity being discharged from his skin cancels the force and only small cuts are left behind. Having a high vitality, these small cuts heal before the whips can strike again.

"Just a weak human, is this all you've got? My ex-wife hits harder than this." Tony laughs as the shadows keep attacking him.

Tony launches a bolt of lightning from his horns, striking Matt on the chest and sending him flying into the wall.

"Barely a scratch, guess your bark is worse than your bite." Matt says before getting low to the ground and sprinting towards the ogre.

"If magic won't work, then let's see how a bit of brute force works." Matt throws a simple right hook at the ogre with his full power.

"Wha..."Tony, taken off guard is thrown off his feet and lands on the other side of the room. Wiping blood off the corner of his mouth,"It was a good punch kid, you're fast but the same thing won't work twice."

"Sure about that?" Matt goes to throw an uppercut but as he approaches Tony, he begins to feel stronger shocks and a repulsive force that bounces him away.

"What was that, a force field? Getting real sci-fi for a monster that has more horns than brain cells." Matt says sarcastically.

"Ha. If you can't break through my barrier then you'll end up dying here kid." Tony says before shooting a barrage of lightning bolts at Matt.

Matt turns his shadow whip into a shield in front of him, but after a few hits the shield starts to flicker. Matt dives out of the line of fire but still takes a couple hits and gets singed.

Rolling to his feet, Matt follows his intuition and fires an arrow of darkness towards the ceiling. Hitting a pipe, high pressure water shoots out and covers the room. Matt jumps

up and grabs another pipe before the water can conduct Tony's electricity to him. Flipping himself and hanging by his knees, he continues to fire darkness arrows at Tony.

"I won't run out of juice that easily kid. Let's see who can last longer." Tony says before shooting a beam of electricity at Matt. As both sides take hits, it soon becomes obvious that Tony is being drained quicker by the water in the room. With one last shot piercing Tony's left eye, Matt knows the battle is over. Gaining a few levels, Matt is now level 15 with both his strength and agility reaching past the 100 point threshold.

"I'm curious to see if anything special happens when all my stats are over 100, seems like a turning point in most games. Guess it's time to call it in." Matt sends a text to Ariana about the situation.

Matt-Had no choice, he was pretty strong. Tony was apparently a "lightning ogre" and he's dead now.

Ariana- Got it, we'll send a team to clean up the site and control witnesses. The pay will be in your account once the kill has been confirmed. In the meantime, would you like to meet the boss?

Matt-Do I have to? Why would he want to meet a new face anyways?

Ariana- Our group is very selective so there aren't many agents. He likes to meet any new blood after their first mission and introduce himself. I'm pretty sure it's just because he loves the reactions.

Matt-What?

Ariana- Don't worry about it, he'll be waiting at the coffee shop on Main and 3rd. You know it?

Matt- Yea, I can be there in about 10 minutes.

Matt makes his way over to said coffee shop even faster than anticipated before realizing he has no idea who he is even looking for. Walking in, he takes a seat at a booth before taking out his phone so that he can ask Ariana what their boss looks like. As he starts typing a message to Ariana, a rather tall man sits next in the seat across from him.

"You must be Matt, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Josh." Says the man.

"Um hello, I'm Matt. It's a pleasure." Matt says a bit awkwardly before extending his hand for a handshake.

"No need to be shy, I've heard a lot about you through Ariana and her contact Bruce. I'm glad to have a new talent in my organization." Josh says.

"You look really familiar, have we met before?" Matt asks.

"Ah, you've probably seen my statues before. They seem to put a lot of them in churches, but I'm not really a fan of the fame. I mean, why would I care about a group of people who can't even get my name right?" Josh says.

"Wait a second, are you trying to say you are Jesus?" Matt says nearly jumping out of his seat.
