An interesting world

In a perfect world, nobody would suffer but that's not the world Raynora lived in, her life wasn't miserable per se but it was a bit depressing, her job consumed her, she woke up at 7 am, went to work at 8:30 am, worked for 8 hours straight, sometimes she took a lunch break if her stomach grumbled, then go back to her appartement, watch some drama or tv show and go to sleep.

  That had been the case for five years and she was sick of it, she was going to change that and immediately, she planned to go on a trip to another country and since she had been learning different languages from the continent of Isia in her free time, she can go anywhere she liked in Isia.

  She had been saving up her vacations for awhile, she could take a two months vacation, to….Najap and maybe go to another country while she was there. 

  But before she departed, she had to plan the whole thing, she was not someone who just up and did something, she had to plan every step of the way. 

Plan to go to Najap: 

  -Book flight tickets that are two months away (cheaper) 

  -Book an Airbnb or rent an apartment, whichever is cheaper 

  -Look up the price of the currency compared to the one they have and exchange when it's the lowest 

  -Look for ways to transport around the city 

  -Look up restaurants, cafes and connivence stores that are near the centre 

  -Look up tourist attractions for the city she was going to

  With that settled up, she started planning her trip, giggling each time she checked one of the steps needed to travel. 

  One day while she was looking up spots to go sightseeing, she stumbled across an ad, advertising plans for couples and friends to do in the city, Nora didn't have any friends to go with, the ones she had were too busy with their lives to travel with her, one is pregnant, the other is building her own house and so and so. 

  As she was sulking about her misfortune, an idea popped up in her head, she would download one of those apps that allow you to talk to people from certain countries, Najap would definitely be on the list, she would definitely find a friend to go sightseeing with and two months is enough time to build a connection. 

  With no time to lose, sh downloaded multiple apps at once and started chatting with people, she was much more open and talkative online than she was in real life, she stayed up all night talking to strangers and getting to know them, that went on for several weeks and out of the hundreds -maybe even a thousand- she talked to, she became friends with ten of them, which was great to her, seven guys and three girls, six of them were foreigners, four were natives Najap and one was from the city she was visiting. 

  One week away from her trip, she decided to tell Ryu, her 20 year old friend who lived in  Do-haïk -the city she was visiting- about her trip and if they could meet up and that single message asking if they could see each other changed her life forever. 

The messages:

  Ryu: I don't think that will be a good idea

  Nora: I understand but if it's not too much to ask, can you tell me why? 

  After fifteen minutes; 

  Ryu: I lied to you 

  Nora: About what exactly? Your age? 

  Ryu: Yes 

  Nora: How old are you in reality?

....

Ryu? Please tell me…..

I won't be mad I promise 

Just tell me are you older than 18 or younger? 

  Ryu: Younger 

  Nora: I don't think we should continue talking and you should get off this app

  Ryu: *typing* 

  Nora: It's dangerous, I hope all the best for you, goodbye 

  Ryu: NO please I need you don't leave me not you too please please no no 

  Nora: I am a 24 year old woman, I shouldn't be talking to a 16 year old boy, I am sorry but this is for the best 

  Ryu: then there is no point in staying alive, thank you for everything, goodbye 

  Nora: What do you mean? Ryu?

  Nora waited and waited but there was no answer, biting her nails wasn't calming her down anymore, she had to do something so she called him, it was an option in the app -that was she thankful for now- 

  He didn't pick up the first time or the second, but luckily by the third time he did and she frantically asked if he was okay and where he was.

  "I am on the roof, looking at the floor and wondering if it will hurt or be instant." Ryu said with a calm voice, which scared Nora even more, because it meant he was determined to do it. 

  "It will hurt and even if it doesn't it will hurt me, I don't want you to die." Nora was panicking, what can she do in this situation? She wasn't even near him. 

  "But you said you are not talking to me again, you wouldn't know, you could have just ignored me." Ryu said, his eyes blank as his feet dangled off the edge of the apartment complex he was living at. 

  "No I can't, you are important to me, please don't do it." Nora begged, her tears falling down. 

  "Even if i lied to you? You don't hate me? You won't abandon me too?" Ryu asked, gaining a little bit of his conscious back as his eyes started watering. 

  "No I won't, I will even come see you when I get there, remember I said I am coming next week, let's go out. I will you buy you delicious food and you can tell me all about your worries, I will listen to everything." Nora said with a smile through her tears.

  "You promise?" Ryu asked, hoping that the angel his mom told him that will come get him was Nora. 

  "Promise, cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye." Nora swore and Ryu smiled.

  "Okay." Ryu jumped back, away from the edge and started walking back inside. 

  "Did you come back inside?" Nora asked when she heard a door shudder. 

  "Yes." Ryu affirmed. 

  "Can you show me please? I want to be sure, it's not that I don't believe you, it will be calm down my heart." Nora said, hoping that she didn't tick him off or anything. 

  "Okay." Ryu responded. 

  "Thank you." Nora hang up and waited for Ryu'a photo inside a building to get to her and when it did, she collapsed to the ground. 

  "He is not dead, he is not dead, he is alive." Nora repeated over and over again while tears fell down from her eyes.
