"Hey granny....can't u tell me what was there, hung on the wall before." *pointing finger towards the wall*

"And why do you need to know about it darling?" granny says with a teasing tone.

"Seriously granny!, I come every time and ask you the same question, but you never answer *pouts*

Granny giggles, as Eshilin pouts.

Well, you must be wondering who is Eshilin? who is granny? I know you are not dumb, you can guess it though! But let's get into Eshilin's head to get to know her well! shall we?

Eshilin's POV~

Ha! Its good to come to granny's after a long while. She lives in the outskirts of the city..and its a beautiful place.

There are little ponds, trees..huge trees.. And a familiar smell of soil..umm..its a nostalgic smell.

I hardly visit my granny's and whenever I visit...I always get stuck with the wall, which gives a hint that a painting was hung!

Well I wouldn't mind much...until granny out of coincidence once told me, that it was a beautiful yet a cursed painting!

Hahaha!😂😂 seriously!!! Cursed??

What in the world will a painting be cursed! When I gave this idiotic laugh to my granny...she wasn't giving any reaction!

She was calm and as if she was prepared for my idiotic criticism!!

She softens her brows. Pushes her old..brown framed..spherical glasses up to her nose bone...her glasses were sliding down...as if they are on slide!!

I don't know when did a curiosity burned in me! But I badly wanted to know about that cursed painting!

"Hey granny...my lovely granny ...come on tell me about it!"

Man my granny does has a stubborn yet childish ignorance! Humph!!!

Everytime I come I get ignored!!!

This time I ain't leaving u granny!!!!

Oh well I forgot to tell who am I!

Call me Eshi! And I am a high schooler...and I ain't cooler like my buddies!!! Hahahaha😂 ! What a lame intro!

Granny's POV~

This little girl has always been this jolly as always!

I don't know why she has to be the one to endure the journey!

Oh my!!! She won't stop asking about the curse! *sighs* . she always has been taken interest in these...just the way I was when I was young like this lad!

Anyway, I guess..she won't stop until I say about the painting! Oh boy!!! Its a long story and Voi ( Eshilin) has a role to play!!

" yo granny! U dozing or something?"

" come on granny! Put that knitting set aside and tell me about that painting!"

* looks with puppy eyes towards granny*

Argh!!!!!! Why won't she say! Is that bcz I laughed. No it can't be..I -

" okay okay miss Vio, I will tell u about the painting" " happy now"

(I was cut off in the middle of my thinking process😑)

Well whatever she gonna tell about the painting!!! Yay!!

I nodded with excitement!!! ( hehe i can't stop my anxiety) I could see my granny's eyes glisten and a new life in it! She pushes back her glasses *Mann doesn't that glass disturb her* haha!

So with her husky voice..and with monotonous tone...she began the journey of the painting!!! She is like "behold the cursed painting" *oh god! I will get blind with her bright light of Energy!!!*

Granny's POV ~

I could see her eyes showing hunger of curiosity! *chuckling* she has always been a little squirrel...squeaking and leaping and running here and there!

Well I guess I should get going.. I mean with the story!

She is like a puppy, with her tail wagging to ask for a treat form her master!

Granny: "well Vio u gotta listen what I say!!okay honey!"

Eshi: "aye cap" hehe!

Granny: " well well, where should I start from! Well the painting that was hung. Was a painting of a lavish castle.

A castle of power, beauty and glamour"

Woah!!! A castle !!!!

" holy moly..a castle!!!"

(Wait what why the heck am I freaking so much! Is it cause bcz granny put it that way! But I don't know why....I felt nostalgic. Might because its a castle...)

Maybe!

"What are u freaking for, young lady"

*with a smirk*

(Hey granny what's with ur creepy smirk! Its like u predicted something and it happened😑)

"I ain't freaking old woman!"

" old woman!!!!"

(This little girl has sharpen her tongue I see!)

" hehe who is freaking now"

*narrows eyes* okay okay shall I say now young miss!

*Nods*

Granny: "well this castle was a cursed castle" "and the painting got cursed too"

Eshi: "well how did this castle got curs-"

(I was intrupted by the sound around the fireplace...and startled both of us!

"Eekk!!! What was that dubious sound" ...hissed my granny!)

At first we though it may be doors due to the wind, they might have banged. But I guess granny wasn't thinking that, cause she looked puzzled, and frightened too. She was sitting there frozen, and wore a pale complexion on her wrinkled face.

"Granny? *tapping granny's shoulder*"

"huh? where did the sound come from?" she says as she controls the situation.

"hey! granny!! are you okay? why are you so startled?" I ask her as I tilt my head towards her. Her midori eyes shining with the sunlight, made her pupils visible to me. Like a clear ocean.

"of course I am fine! let's go and check what was that sound.

We ran towards the fireplace.

And my granny turned pale...but I don't know why? And when turned towards my granny's gaze...
