The Proposition [2.]

[RINZLER, THREE WEEKS AGO]

For the very first time in years after his rejection, Alpha Rinzler didn't go to check up on his mate. The conversation he had with Alpha Fisher kept replaying over and over in his head. Hell, even the headache didn't seem to bother him.

Even his wolf seemed to be there for him, they were thrilled. Who would say no to being with their mate? To rule alongside your forever love?

Not Alpha Rinzler.

He knew it was a bad idea to lure Marina, it was like a forced arranged marriage, blackmail. But hey, maybe one day, when they would be sitting with their pups, talking, laughing, watching the sun rise together, he would tell her he has something to say to her.

And then, later at midnight, as they watched the clear sky, with the moon shining above them, he would take her hands to his, and he would explain everything that happened.

And then they would live happily forever after, right?

"Tingly. Heavenly. Lovely." Alpha Rinzler thought as he took his shower.

The idea of dying hasn't even crossed his mind yet. It was finally time for him to meet with Alpha Fisher so he could tell him he has agreed to the plan. It was perfect, it would make everyone happy.

Alpha Fisher had respected his decision when he asked him to give him a week to contemplate the proposition, and as much as Alpha Fisher wanted to tell him they didn't have time to waste, he knew it wasn't his place.

He wouldn't force the man into deciding something like that.

Alpha Rinzler finished showering, took the towel, and tied it around his waist.

He headed to the bedroom where he found Savannah on his bed. "Savannah, how many times do I have to tell you my room is mine, and yours is yours." Said Alpha Rinzler as he walked back to the bathroom.

"Brother, so shy. Sorry, I came to check on you." Savannah said as she rose from the bed.

"I am fine, I am great. The world is beautiful." Alpha Rinzler said as he entered the bathroom.

"I don't know what scares me the most, the fact that suddenly the world is beautiful to you or…"

Alpha Rinzler cut her off by saying, "sister when was the last time we stared at the sunset together? I think we should plan for a date."

Savannah chuckled as she headed to the door, "brother, I would love that."

When Rinzler heard the door closing, he rushed out of the bathroom and dressed up. Once he finished, he picked up his phone and sent one text.

"I AM IN!"

**

"He is in." Alpha Fisher mumbled after he read the text. Finally, the day has arrived.

"In the middle of Lake Rimaria, near the Axel Land. In one hour." Alpha Fisher sent the text to Alpha Rinzler.

He mind-linked his sister and asked her to come with High Priestess Manne. In less than five minutes, the two women arrived.

"Yes?" Bedelia uttered.

"We are going for a ride, get your coats." Alpha Fisher said.

"Okay." The women agreed and left.

As he waited for the two women to come, Alpha Fisher couldn't contain his excitement. Ten minutes longer, for him he felt it was eternity, he started the boat and said to the two women who were getting in, "you two took your time."

"Brother, you are glowing." Doctor Bedelia joked.

High Priestess chuckled as she sat facing Alpha Fisher.

"Buckle up." Alpha Fisher said and rode them towards The Mountain Pack, and when he was sure the boat was out of sight, he diverted his direction and drove towards the Axel Land.

High Priestess Manne and Doctor Bedelia glanced at each other; they haven't even asked where they were heading. When Alpha Fisher noticed the question in their eyes, he said, "don't worry, we are." He paused when he saw a boat from a distance. "Oh, there he is."

Alpha Fisher was in the boat alone waiting, how he arrived there first was a question Alpha Fisher would ask him later.

"What is happening?" High Priestess asked.

"Hello Bedelia, you look old." Rinzler joked.

"You are not so bad yourself." Responded Bedelia.

"Shut up!" Rinzler said and greeted, "Priestess."

Alpha Fisher couldn't wait anymore, he blurted out. "Alpha Rinzler is dying, and we must save him."

"What?" "Okay?" Bedelia and High Priestess asked.

"Should I or should you?" Alpha Fisher asked Rinzler. With a bright smile, he dramatically bowed and said, "be my guest."

Alpha Fisher explained everything, and once he finished, he asked, "any question?"

"Any question? Are you insane? You son of a bitch wants to die?" Doctor Bedelia asked angrily.

"Bedelia, haven't you been listening to everything I have said?" Alpha Fisher asked.

"That is where I come in." High Priestess said, her eyes darting from one alpha to another.

"Exactly, thanks for listening," Fisher said, glaring jokingly at his sister.

"No. Are you sure you won't stay dead?" Bedelia asked. Of course, it was her brother, she won't just jump onto the idea just because Alpha Rinzler asked nicely. Hell no.

"I will. Quin?" Fisher inquired.

"I will try," Manne replied.

"See, that isn't enough," Bedelia complained.

"Calm down, I will make sure he comes back. Alpha Rinzler, we must save you." High Priestess said softly.

She was in and the only person remaining was Bedelia, the three other people took turns explaining to Bedelia that nothing would go wrong. And when she finally agreed half-heartedly, the three sighed in contentment.

Alpha Fisher took charge, telling everyone what they would do. They only had two weeks to make it happen.

He urged Alpha Rinzler to hang in there. And when the day arrived, he should make sure that he was the one who came to give the pack his condolences. And to act as sad as he could be.

Bedelia was to take alpha's body from his chamber to another one. And when Marina called her, to be sad so Marina would come home.

High Priestess to kill alpha Fisher using magic around 3 or 4 AM, such that when Luna Audra woke up, she would find him dead. Alpha Fisher was saddened for his mate but knew it was necessary. "For it to appear real, she must not know." Said Fisher.

They talked more and by the time they agreed on everything, Alpha Rinzler felt like he could swim back to The Mountain Pack.

"Okay then, everyone knows their place, we will meet here one more time next week and decide on the date. Since Bedelia seems still worried, High Priestess will show you some tricks she has under her sleeve." Alpha Fisher said once he confirmed again that everyone was okay with the plan.

As Fisher, Priestess, and Bedelia drove home, Alpha Fisher knew he did well choosing the two women.

He picked his sister because she knew more than anyone what it meant not to have a mate.

And High Priestess wouldn't have said no. The woman swore her allegiance to serve Alpha Fisher forever.

Little didn't they know that as soon as High Priestess heard the plan, her heart leaped in joy. They signed a deal with the she-devil, the enemy within.
