Resumen

Death. To all of those whomst I've met over the course of my short life, it was a somber word. A word signifying the end of something sweet, something joyful. I believe-- no I know, there are worse things than death. Loneliness. Fear. Regret. Guilt. Betrayal. We make death out to be such a dark thing yet why does it feel so freeing? I've always seen birds used in literature to represent deaths, and now I can finally, truly understand why. Dying feels as if you've taken flight and have whisked away all that once burdened you. And I have never felt better. Perhaps my family still remains down in the mundane world, cursing my name, yet all their words do is add wind under my wings. Luckily I am no longer a part of that world, now my only worry is where to fly next. Perhaps to the ocean to enjoy a nice sea breeze? I feel the sun shining on my face- Shit. Why is it so damn bright? Did the curtains open while I was asleep? Ah. It was a dream. Perhaps a better word is "a memory yet to happen"? My seventeenth birthday to be exact. The day I was finally free, the day I watched myself get impaled on my Father's arrow and bleed out on the forest floor. Though, I don't have much time nor energy to care for that too much, especially seeing as that day is 9 years from now. Why must the God of Life curse me to live again? I am sure there are plenty out there with unfulfilled wishes who would looove a second chance at life. I was plenty happy being dead. Trigger warnings for: Physical and mental abuse, violence, death, suicide mentions, and suicidal ideation.

Island Fall

[This story is also being posted on Royalroad] After being thrown overboard from their ship, Frisk wakes up on a strange remote island that they have never heard of before. Serphile Island. They quickly realize that the island's population is mutated and has the ability to use magic. They also quickly learn that the entire island is populated by parasites capable of taking over the world. With the population harboring a grudge on the outside world, Frisk must make their way through the island if they ever want to find a way home, and maybe save the world. Frisk knows that if the parasites escape, the world will turn into a full-blown apocalypse. In order to stop that, they must somehow manage to stop the king of the island and the queen of the parasites. They will discover friends on their way through their journey as well as many dangers and mystery. Yet they can't help but think... ....is killing the islanders and stopping the parasites for good the right answer? After all, everyone here, even the animals, has thoughts. Yet, if they don't do anything, everyone Frisk knows might die. What is happening here? What is the secret of this strange island? Who, or what is Luna? With all of these questions, Frisk must start her journey, praying that whatever choice they make will be the right one. [Despite being an Undertale Fanfic, or AU, Island Fall is far different from Undertale. Please take note that this is a gory, traumatizing, psychological story that is a far cry from the original story of Undertale. And no, there are no actual "monsters" here. Everyone is either a mutated human, animal, or something else]

Living the Tale

Alex hates fairy tales. She always has. Alex has despised the notion of fairytales ever since her mother ran off with another man, leaving the girl and her father to rebuild their lives on their own. When she was little, Alex’s father taught her to be strong and independent, so that she did not have to wait for a man to do things for her. She took those lessons to heart and has done just that. However, what will happen to Alex when she suddenly finds a mysterious book at the library and ends up drawn into the story, literally. Alex must now live inside of the fairytales that she hates so much. She can't escape from them, no matter what she does. She has no choice, but to complete each tale, each task that the Keeper gives her. And along the way, she just might find a love for fairytales, or perhaps a prince. "Hello, Alexis." That voice from before called out to me. "We have been waiting for you." "Who are you? And why have you been waiting for me?" I called out frantically. "I am the keeper of the tales. I have heard you through the years, girl. I know that you dislike the tales that others have worked so hard to collect. These so-called fairy tales. They are a vital part of growing up. They help children learn to process and cope with emotions through make-believe. They help them to learn and grow. Yet you don't think like that. You see only weak women that need to be saved by men. I cannot help that they were written in a time long since passed, but that has kept you from seeing the true beauty and meaning of the tales. Because of that, you must be punished." "Punished?" I focused on that one word. "What do you mean that I need to be punished? What is going to happen to me? What are you going to do to me? A..am I going to be in fairy tales?" I just knew that this voice was going to say yes. I knew that I was going to be tortured to no end because of these stories. "But of course." There was a chuckle in that voice that just wouldn't leave my mind. It was going to be there permanently. Every day for the rest of my life I would hear that voice, I just knew it. "Why? Why do I need to be in fairy tales? What is the purpose of that?" "The purpose? Well, I could say that it is to teach you a lesson. I could say that it is what you deserve because of the position that you have been taking your whole life. However, I simply think that it would be funny because you simply despise these tales. I think that it would be the best punishment for you given the circumstances." "You're evil. You know that? You are evil and cruel." I no longer felt fear of any sort. Instead, I was feeling nothing but anger and frustration boiling inside of me. "I haven't even told you the best part, Alex. These are no ordinary fairy tales. They will all be changed in some way. You may be visiting some of the classics this time, but they will be unlike any other fairy tale that has ever been told in your world. I think that is my consolation to you. You will be spared the same old boring tales that you hate and in turn, you will experience something new and exciting."

BEYOND THE LIVING

Have you ever wondered what is beyond what we know What we see? What we feel? Have you ever wondered what is BEYOND THE LIVING!!!! ... The Lord looked at the cloaked creature with his hands in his pocket. "Have you ever wondered why your heart doesn't beat?" The creature asked. "We're not normal are we?" Lucas interrupted. The creature chuckled. Its bony body creaked loudly as its body shook. "Normal?...... You are far from normal, you three are not even supposed to exist" The creature. "That's one way to put it.?" Lucas said, evidently offended by what the creature said about him and his siblings. "So are you among the many who want us dead?" Lord Nicholas asked. "Dead?" The creature asked confused. "How can you kill what is already dead, at least partially." The creature moved its boney hand over the Lord's face to reveal the bones that hid beneath. Lord Nicholas looked at half of his body that was made with bones. "This is your true form." "Is this how I'll appear forever?" The Lord asked. Going out like this would cause an uproar which he wasn't looking forward to. "No. You could change to your human form. You just have to concentrate." The Lord stared at his boney hand in concentration to see layers of muscles and skin form. "What's your name?" Lucas asked. The bones on the face of the creature moved in a certain way that made Lucas assume the creature was smirking. "That isn't needed now." It said before vanishing, leaving a thin layer of green smoke.
