Chapter 14: So Close
As I stood and put cream on one of Wade’s wrists, I tried not to think about his muscled forearms or his defined biceps that somehow flexed even though he was asleep. I rubbed the cream on his blistered wrists and looked down at the healing skin. Silver poisoning was such an interesting sort of wound. Depending on where or how you came in contact with the poison, it would determine what happened to you.
Wade had been manacled to that chair with Silver Alloy for eight hours. It wasn’t pure silver thank goodness, but it was enough to keep him out for as long as it was on him. It was enough to have these puss filled blisters and reddened skin around his ankles and wrists. I frowned as I rubbed more cream onto his wrist. Yes, it was healing, but silver made a Lycan’s healing even worse than that of a human. It truly was a poison to them.
