Chapter 121: The Dungeon Part 2

There were fifteen meters of distance between the main tori gate and the dungeon entrance.

So Seiya and his crew walked through the rocky tunnel with Kisuke in the lead, holding a flashlight.

"What's wrong, Seiya-kun?" Kisuke asked Seiya, who had stopped walking.

Yoruichi and Isuzu also halted their moments since the atmosphere was an awkward silence.

"Kisuke, I don't want to be rude to you, so be honest with me. What are you hiding?" Seiya asked.

"What do you mean hiding? Can you elaborate, Seiya-kun?" Kisuke asked earnestly, unlike his causal jolly nature.

"I am talking about Kirei Kotomine. Don't tell me you are not aware of his tendencies? Do you think I was on my wits for no reason? That man is a psychopath who enjoys the pain and suffering of others." Seiya said, "I think you are well aware of the mess of a man Kirei Kotomine is; considering how cautious you are, why do you have to invite him of all people? This matter of dungeon shouldn't be exposed to outsiders."

That's right, Seiya was pissed with the inclusion of one variable that was Kirei Kotomine. Kisuke said Kirei had good fighting expertise and was also good at handling foreign magecraft. Since Kirei was unemployed, Kisuke hired Kirei to analyze the magical signal from the lookout.

Kirei Kotomine was one individual with whom Seiya didn't want to be acquainted. Reason? Seiya didn't think he needed to explain, considering Kirei's acts in most of the Fate franchise.

Even though Seiya was reluctant about Kisuke's decision, Seiya temporarily ignored that matter but not anymore.

Seiya wanted to know what the hell Kisuke was thinking. While Seiya trusts Yoruichi for her personality, Seiya couldn't say the same for Kisuke.

Kisuke was a scientist and researcher, which was more reason for Seiya to doubt the methods Kisuke would use to get the job done.

Kisuke turned his head down before a smile crept on his face, "Seiya-kun, just when I wondered if that man was of any special origin, you showed me your concern." Kisuke paused before he looked at Seiya, "I am well aware of Kirei Kotomine's psychotic tendencies, but it is the reason why I am keeping an eye on him."

"Keeping an eye on him?"

"Yes. 10 years ago, he was said to be involved in a certain incident that only he and certain other people remembers and no one else."

10 years ago? Was Kisuke talking about the Holy Grail war?

"Well, let's talk about his capabilities. While it is true that he was a man with a messed-up mindset, there wasn't a single occurrence involved in any inhuman act. He left his wife and daughter for this particular fact that he doesn't find anything that other others consider to be happiness.

Long story short, he is evil but not a villain or criminal.

Just think about yourself. You wish to bang every beautiful girl, right, but you don't go around sticking your dick to every single chick that has a hole."

Isuzu and Yoruichi twitched, barely holding themselves for not kicking Kisuke's face.

"Hm, that wasn't entirely inaccurate," Seiya said and then shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever. For now, we should finish this dungeon thing. Unlike you, I have my girls waiting for me in my home." Seiya said, winking at Isuzu, causing the girl to blush.

"Hey, don't need to say such a cruel thing!" Kisuke retorted.

Seiya was uneasy about this situation, but the time and place weren't right. After their exploration, Seiya would need serious counseling with Kisuke and Yoruichi.

Soon they reached a dead end. A dark vortex seemed to be leading somewhere else.

Kisuke looked at Seiya and Isuzu and spoke, "Well, then. This is where- wait!"

All of them ignored Kisuke and entered the vortex, following Seiya.

When Seiya stepped into a wide-open field that looked almost like a desert, with a multitude of dunes littered with boulders, he saw several system notifications in front of him.

[The host has entered a Rank D dungeon "Hueco Mundo".]

A dungeon formed through the interference of the alien death king. It is the personification of the underworld but not the actual underworld. "Final Boss" might be a fake god.]

"What does it say?" Yoruichi asked when she saw Seiya staring at nothing in the air. She wasn't astonished why Seiya was looking in the air. She knew Seiya had excellent appraisal skills.

"It's Hueco Mundo," Seiya said and explained the types of monsters, in the form of ghosts and hollows, which would appear.

Although Yoruichi and Kisuke were already aware of these types of monsters, it was Isuzu's first time fighting with them.

"Actually, there are also undead monsters in my world called Mors. So I know how to deal with these kinds of monsters." That's what Isuzu said.

"Very well then. If the discussions are over, we have company here." Yoruichi said, pointing at the horde of Hollows called Gillian.

Gillian are massive hallows, standing from 5 to 12 meters in height. Their bodies are covered from their head to their feet with a black covering reminiscent of a cloak. Around their neck is a row of thin white spikes. They have large, pointed feet wrapped in white bandages. They have large white hands with long, sharp, white nails, but they are commonly hidden within their cloak, rarely revealed even in combat. They have long tongues capable of breaking a fellow Hollow's mask.

Seiya knew them from anime, but he used his Mind's Eye on them.

Weakness: Hollow Mask is the biggest weakness for the direct kill. General beast-like intellect.] Slowness.

While taking out his weapon and strengthening it with Enhancement, Seiya informed them about Gillian.

"Isuzu, I will be enhancing your speed, okay? Make sure to keep your distance." Seiya said and used his magic on his girl.

Seiya's enhancement also includes enhancing other people, but he didn't think Yoruichi or Kisuke would need his help.

"Got it." Isuzu nodded.

Gillian near Seiya roared, causing the air around him to push him violently, but it didn't do much. Seiya was already equipped with Mental Resistance, so he was immune to debuff like fear.

Seiya enhanced his hands and flicked the strings of his harp-like bow.

With a sweet melody, multiple invisible vacuum arrows came and struck Gillian's mask, cutting it into many pieces.

The Gillian stopped moving before turning into dust and leaving a gray ball.

Seiya picked the monster drop and appraised it.

It is magic essence found inside ghost monsters called Gillian.]

Wait, he can grind system points with monsters now?! That's so cool!

He had previously defeated some ghost monster, but he wasn't inside the dungeon, or it was a new system update that Seiya wasn't aware of. Either way, Seiya can now grind system points with monsters besides mission.

Seiya looked around and noticed Kisuke and Yoruichi handing Gillian a fine. However, Isuzu might be struggling since she was dealing with three Gillian simultaneously.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

With four consecutive shots, Isuzu finally cracked one of three Gillian's masks with her muskets, defeating the monster on the spot.

But at this point, she got a little careless. A Gillian was able to sneak behind and was ready to stomp.

However, before the Gillian could touch Isuzu, it was erased into dust when its mask was destroyed by invisible vacuum-like arrows.

"Kanie-kun…!" Isuzu called the name of her savior and her boyfriend.

"Looks like my girlfriend is having a hard time dealing with these monsters." Seiya came forward and smiled. "Are you alright?"

"I am fine. Sorry, I got careless." Isuzu smiled.

"Don't be. It was our first time dealing with these kinds of monsters. Let's face them together." Seiya smirked and raised his bow towards a Gillian. "One draws attention while other strikes."

"Got it." Isuzu nodded with an excited smile and leaped forward while Seiya drew the attention.

And so, the duo began dealing with Gillian together.
