Chapter 51

After Elenor's dance was over, it was Alice's turn.

Surprisingly, that ended with a kiss as well. Kyouka and the rest of the heroes' shock kept on increasing. While the other people had jealousy beyond words.

'Who comes after the 2 sisters? The mother? Surely, there's no way.' Kyouka thought of an absurd thing but quickly denied it.

After the second dance was over, there was an intermission. That was when Kuroki and Regena arrived at the ball.

Kuroki, upon entering the ball, immediately spotted Shirone as she stood out from the rest of the people with her blue hair.

Likewise, Shirone also noticed Kuroki.

"Ku, Loki?" Shirone subconsciously said. Her face was filled with shock.

The others who heard her turned their head towards where Shirone was looking.

There stood a somewhat handsome but not noticeable from afar male with black hair and quartz eyes.

Kuroki's face turned red as he was surprised by how much his childhood friend had grown. She was now exceptionally beautiful. Her chest that had nothing before grew as well.

"Kuroki-sama?"

Shirone was about to rush over to Kuroki, but when she saw a beautiful woman appearing from behind Kuroki, she froze. Then her mouth and eyes smiled, but her expression was terrifying to Kuroki.

"KuROkiWHoIstHAt?" Shirone asked. It sounded more like an order.

"A-A-A friend!" Kuroki said frightfully.

"IsITReALLy? YoUsHOuLdntLiEtOMe."

"N-N-No! I'm not lying!"

"AReYoUSUrE?"

"Y-Yes!"

Yukina and Elenor watched with interest while Alice was busy taking Seal to try some foods that she liked.

Meanwhile, Shirone noticed that Regena was standing too close to Kuroki, so she hurriedly separated them.

"Is that Shirone's childhood friend? He looks a little worse than Reiji-kun and that guy..." Sahoko made her observation about Kuroki known to others around her.

"You simply can't compare Kuroki to him, though. He's in a whole different league than even Onii-sama." Kyouka subconsciously blurted out. (Author: Ara?)

On Yukina's side, Seal came back with Alice after picking his food.

"What happened?" Seal asked after eating the food on his plate.

"Shirone's childhood friend showed up," Elenor said bluntly.

"Oh?" Seal said as he looked over to where Kuroki was.

Seeing Regena with Kuroki, he was not surprised.

She should've been under the care of Kuroki when she arrived there, and he does not doubt Kuroki's ability to protect Regena.

Meanwhile, Regena noticed Seal's gaze on her and turned around to see who was staring at her.

"...*Gulp*" Regena's eyes widened and she inadvertently gulped. He was the most handsome man she had ever seen.

They ended up staring at each other before Seal smiled at her and turned around to talk with Elenor.

"He seems familiar..." Regena muttered.

*BOOM*

Suddenly, a large explosion sounded outside of the castle and many people started to panic.

It was at this time that an unknown enemy attacked the Ball of Velos at its most critical time.

Except for Kyouka, all the heroes went outside to check on the situation while Seal and the others stayed inside.

"Should we help them?" Elenor asked.

"I'm sure they're going to be alright. After all, the enemies are just orges." Seal said.

Meanwhile, Chiyuki and the others went outside to see a group consisting of dozens of orges attacking the guests of the ball.

This caused them to be furious.

Shirone rushed toward the orges and slashed at them with her sword. Similarly, Sahoko used spells to support Shirone. The others also attacked with them.

But this was all within the expectation of the orges' leader.

When they got into the range of the orges, their leader took out something and activated it.

A transparent barrier appeared and surrounded the heroes. The barrier was given to them by an evil god to use. The orges' leader quickly made use of it to trap the heroes.

"Be careful!" Chiyuki suddenly yelled, but it was too late. They were trapped.

The orge's leaders celebrated their success, but it was short lived as their proud barrier was shattered.

"I thought we were in serious danger... Who'd have thought it was so flimsy." Chiyuki said.

At the same time the heroes escaped from the barrier, Seal and the others sat on chairs and in front of them was a projection of what was happening outside.

"I've seen them fight countless time, but today, I am disappointed in them." Elenor sighed.

"I can see why. They're carelessly rushing into battle like that. If this were stronger opponents, no doubts that they will suffer serious injuries." Seal said afterward.

"And also, I've been wondering why you have been staring at me for a while now... When are you going to show yourself?" Seal spoke. It wasn't directed at anyone present.

"You perceived my existence... Who are you?" A voice sounded and time froze.

The space began to distort and a woman with a mask materialized.

"Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?" Seal said.

"..." The woman hesitated for a moment.

"My name is..."
