Back in the Late 1900s: If you working in a corner store in Viva Las Vegas, in a city full of Mobs, and gamblers; the rich, the poor, the black market, and other things that the common citizen doesn't want know: Can be very lonely. or provide solitude. Due to his past, Tori struggles to find a place where he can live the rest of his life.. away from the casinos and the mobs. All he wants is to left along, that is until, a short man asks him to join a bodyguard unit. After being bugged for weeks, Tori finally gives in and joins this unit. Little does he know, he would be paring up with four other kids like himself, along with a Bartender, Drunkard, and Mr. Brooke's being the most annoying of them all. Until he finds out, that his new boss is actually there to guard him from the most powerful and evil man in the world of crime.

Their parents had died in a factory collapse when Sanya was only 2, and while Jay was only 9. So he can't blame her for not remembering. Another night of cold wind has come as Winter draws near, so they find shelter. Not knowing what is to come.

The author of this novel has a very unique writing style. While the grammar leaves a bit to be desired, it's not quite like anything I've read before- however, since I tend not to read much, this may be a moot point. As far as I was able to read (It's still a very fledgling novel), the author was able to introduce a few interesting key characters (mostly the supposed antagonist, who has a strange way of twisting the characters in certain directions). The world's setting is probably its strongest point, as well as to me, its most interesting point. Set in a late-90's crime-ridden las vegas, there's surely a lot of strife and contention to come from the main character's surroundings. This novel is pretty interesting so far, and it's worth a try for a few chapters. I can see how many could enjoy it, despite the character's interactions seeming a bit dry in the beginning.

Other than the misplaced dialogue tags here and there, the writing is more than fine. Although it's not a 5/5, it's not a 4/5 either, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. The chapters are very short for my preference, but the story is smooth, and with plenty of chapters to read, the length of individual chapters won't be an issue. It's not always that I find books of this style, especially with reference to real-life geography. It can be pretty challenging as it is easy to critique down the line, but I'm not one of those people. It's a muddy, harsh road if you want this type of book to develop around these corners, but you have my green light.

It's a very interesting premise with a promising start. It's nice to see an author focusing on the emotional impact of the story right from the beginning. I look forward to learning more about the setting even though it's based from real life, because I'm not quite familiar with the criminal underworld type of setting in 1970s Vegas. If you're also interested in that, I highly suggest giving this novel a try.

I don't have much experience writing reviews but I will try my best. The world building is good and the writing quality is also good. Although there are a few writing errors here and there but they can be ignored. I like how intense the first chapter was. All the emotions were properly expressed. The only problem I have with this novel is that the sentences are unnecessarily long. No reader likes to read through a very long paragraph. it makes them lose interest very quickly. Some people are very lazy, you know. Anyways, apart from that, this is a pretty good novel. Continue to write, and improve your skills as a writer. May the story bless you.
