Compulsion

Chu Li and Li Ruolan held their breaths, not moving an inch.

The elder's looks were so concrete that they felt chills down their spines, forcing them to just remain still.

Li Ruolan could not help but want to look up. However, Chu Li pulled her sleeves as he noticed her intention, and stopped her from doing so.

He placed his right palm in front of her eyes to block her view.

The elder was shockingly powerful. If one were to lay their eyes on him, he could probably sense it, which would instantly attract his attention.

Surprised by the action, Li Ruolan knew that she was being too careless. Thus, she quickly nodded, then shut her eyes to indicate that she understood.

She was well aware of the sharp sense of a top-notch master, such that one could easily sense another person's look.

After the elder scanned the forest with his shining eyes several times, he finally turned to look elsewhere.
