As the lights came on, there were a few dissatisfied grumbles from inside the room, followed by the loud voice of someone speaking. However, from the tone, it seemed the speaker was scolding rather than warning.

The unexpected turn of events did not throw Gao Yang and his team into disarray. Before anyone could emerge from the room, they quickened their pace, moving swiftly to either side of the room's entrance.

Using hand signals to assign Team B the task of focusing on the remaining sentries in the trees, Gao Yang reached for two defensive hand grenades from his combat vest, pulled the pins, while Li Jinfang and Sirte aimed their guns at the doorway.

Soon after footsteps could be heard inside the room, another person opened the inwards-swinging door, yawning, with a flashlight in his left hand. The moment he opened the door, Li Jinfang suddenly fired his gun.
