Morning

Kaiser threw his jacket on the table and went to the bathroom to wash his face. The cold water hit his pale face and then he washed his mouth with Charlotte's toothpaste.

After he finished, he used the towel next to the mirror and dried his face and hands before going out and staring into the dark living room.

Leonid and Dmitri were sleeping on one couch, while Daniel was lying on the whole couch all alone, plus he was wearing an extra blanket.

Kaiser had no choice but to lie down on the remaining couch, pull the extra blanket over Daniel and put it on, even though he liked to sleep naked he didn't take off his clothes at all and because of that he was barely able to finally sleep.

After the bright rays of the sun shone on the delicate skin of her face, Charlotte woke up very upset because the daylight had woken her up.

She slowly got up, sat down, and extended her arms up. Charlotte was suffering from some stiffness in her back and arms, perhaps due to the unhealthy sleeping method she followed yesterday.

Charlotte rubbed her shoulders and shook her slightly, then lazily got up from the sofa and closed the curtains to block the bright sunlight from throughout the bedroom.

Natalia was still asleep and did not wake up for a moment despite the sunlight, causing Charlotte to stare at her for a moment.

After taking a look at Natalia, perhaps the reason she did not wake up was because she covered her face with the pillow. Well, if Charlotte had covered her face with the pillow, she might have had the same result.

Charlotte moved away from the window and combed her messy chestnut locks with her fingers as she walked to leave her bedroom.

"Oh you're awake!"

"Hmm…"

When she came out, she was greeted by Daniel who had just come out of the shower with his purple hair a mess.

"I was about to come in and wake you up."

Daniel smiled happily and wrapped his arms around Charlotte's shoulders.

"Really, it's a good thing I got out before you got in."

He rested his head on Charlotte's, and since she didn't push him away didn't mean she wouldn't mind hugging him.

"Anyway I'm glad to see you. This way I won't have to delay feeding myself, so Charlotte I want to have breakfast now~."

That was it, so he almost broke into her bedroom, Charlotte sighed and put her hands on Daniel's arms.

"Well what do you want to eat?"

"I'd like fried eggs and sausage, please."

"As you wish. But let me wash my face first and then I will start cooking."

Charlotte grabbed Daniel's arms and pulled them away, then went to the bathroom and closed the door.

She checked her appearance in the mirror before brushing her face.

Her plump lips were pink and her white skin was a bit pale, maybe it was because of her lack of sleep yesterday but she still looked good nonetheless.

She washed her teeth and her face, then dried it and went out. After Charlotte left, her black eyes scanned the entire living room, and did not find Leonid and Dimitri.

"Daniel. Where are Mr. Leonid and Dmitri?"

"They left a few moments ago, I think."

Daniel answered in a rather low voice, while fiddling on his phone while lying on the couch.

"They left…?"

Charlotte repeated in frustration, then added.

"Okay, what about Kaiser, where is he?"

"he is there."

Daniel pointed his index finger at the other couch.

"Only who else looks like a corpse when he sleeps."

Suddenly Charlotte saw that her sofa was a corpse stand.

She blinked her eyes as she stared at Kaiser lying under the white blanket that covered his entire body without showing any remains of him.

"That's rude, Daniel. Kaiser doesn't look like a corpse. He just looks like an earthworm or maybe a silkworm. Is there a difference between them?"

"I don't know. "

Daniel rolled his eyes, ignoring Charlotte's scolding and confusion.

"Charlotte can you hurry up and make breakfast? I'm very hungry."

"Okay, I'll make you breakfast but I'll check on Kaiser before that."

"Why are you checking on him?"

"What's your problem? I have to do this."

Charlotte started walking towards Kaiser and said.

"What if he died because of the way he sleeps like a corpse."

"Well, you're right. Then you can check on him."

She nodded and stopped directly above Kaiser's head. Charlotte tried to slowly pull the blanket up to create an airway for Kaiser, careful not to wake him.

"What… "

Charlotte was surprised when Kaiser's left arm extended from under the blanket and wrapped around her neck, then pulled her towards him.

"Are you doing."

Kaiser closed his lips and stared at Charlotte with his sleepy amber eyes.

His left hand was gently and warmly touching Charlotte's neck. After staring for a while, Kaiser narrowed the distance between them and his eyes deepened into Charlotte's black eyes.

Charlotte's pull towards him caused some of her chestnut locks to fall to the side of Kaiser's face.

"Huh?!"

Charlotte's eyelids widened until her thick, long eyelashes touched the roof of her upper eyelid. The blanket slid down Kaiser's bare chest, revealing more of his tight skin. As his hand began to caress her neck, a look of confusion crossed Charlotte's face and she felt heat spreading through her body.

"W-What are you doing now?! What's wrong with you?"

She immediately shouted and tried to walk away. However, Kaiser's strong arm caught her and pinned her down.

"Daniel! Daniel help me!"

Charlotte quickly asked Daniel for help, who in turn turned a blind eye and ignored her completely, as if nothing was happening to him.

"Daniel, You bastard!"

It's true that Daniel abandoned her, but he's not to blame. Who would be able to face someone like Kaiser when he was in this state?

Kaiser pulled Charlotte closer to him until he felt her turbulent breathing hit his face.

At that moment, Charlotte closed her eyes tightly.

After seeing Charlotte's reaction, Kaiser laughed softly, then called out to her.

"Charlotte."

"What?!"

Charlotte responded quickly to Kaiser's hoarse voice, yet she did not open her eyes.

"Does it still hurt?"

"It hurts? What are you talking about?"

She slowly opened her eyes and stared into Kaiser's eyes, Kaiser had a piercing and sleepy look at the same time.

"Your wrist."

After he said that. Kaiser held Charlotte's wrist with his free hand and gently felt the pale bruises with his thumb.

His amber eyes studied Charlotte's skin and the dark bruises.

Under those touches, Charlotte felt goosebumps and quickly stopped Kaiser's thumb.

"It's okay, I'm fine!"

"It doesn't seem to me like you are."

Kaiser ignored Charlotte's resistance and stared at her frowning face, those plump lips looking pouting and uncomfortable to him.

The corners of his lips raised for a moment and then he released Charlotte's wrist, but Kaiser did not release her completely, still holding her with his arm.

"That's enough! Let me go!"

"I'm sorry."

Kaiser's sudden apology stopped Charlotte from protesting, instead of screaming, Charlotte lowered her voice and said.

"It's okay. There's no need to be sorry…"

She paused for a moment and then said quickly.

"I'm fine!"

"You never change. I hope you never change."

Kaiser's arm slid down and he finally released Charlotte.

"Stay as nice as I know you to be, Charlotte."

Kaiser's words had a new tone that Charlotte was not familiar with, and she blinked her eyes for a moment as she looked into Kaiser's dark eyes.

"I'm not nice."

"You're nice."

Kaiser repeated and rested his head on his arm as he closed his eyes, preparing for sleep.

"If you don't stop saying that, I'll break your wrist."

"Ah my. I'd rather you do that than lie about not being nice"

"I'm not lying, I'm really not nice."

"Don't forget to unblock my number, okay? Ahhh.."

Kaiser yawned and raised his other hand to cover Charlotte's mouth.

"Can you go now? I want to sleep."

Charlotte pushed Kaiser's hand and immediately took a few steps back. When she retreated, Kaiser returned to cover his body to sleep anyway.

"He was the one who started the whole conversation and now he's asking that?!"

Charlotte turned to Daniel as she quickly grumbled.

Daniel barely turned around and hid his phone, with which he took a few pictures of that situation and what happened moments ago.

{You should have saved me‼}

{With all due respect, are you crazy? I will die if you interfere. You know Kaiser‼}

Charlotte and Daniel communicated with each other in sign language and then sighed in frustration.

No one will be able to interfere. No one except someone like Leonid, who was able to stop Kaiser yesterday.

Charlotte pushed her hair behind her ear and stared at her wrist, reminiscing on the sensation of Leonid's fingertips grazing her skin to check on her.

After thinking about yesterday when Leonid asked her to wear something warm other than a short skirt, Charlotte lowered her head and stared at her legs. Does Leonid hate short clothes? Or did he want to keep her warm?

Whatever it was, they both had her and her best interests at heart. Charlotte shook her head and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

While Daniel stared at her in silence, then shrugged.

Charlotte cracked four eggs and added six sausages into a beautifully buttered frying pan.

As it began to be prepared, the delicious smell of breakfast spread, causing Daniel's hungry appetite to ignite.

When he heard the sound of dishes on the dining table, Daniel moved quickly and sat on the chair, holding the fork and knife.

"Thank you, Charlotte. I'm really, really grateful to have you in my life."

Daniel pointed to his chest as he tilted his head to look at Charlotte while expressing his feelings.

"No one will ever be able to understand the amount of feelings I have for you, Charlotte!"

"Shut up and eat."

Her fist gently hitting the top of Daniel's head. Charlotte sighed and left Daniel alone to finish his meal while she prepared the next one.

She headed to the kitchen and on her way Charlotte tripped over a black cloth.

"What is this?! "

"Kaiser Clothes."

"H-Huh, how did this happen?!"

Charlotte shouted and stiffened, so many alarms were hitting her mind now.

"Kaiser, you crazy!"

She lifted the handful of pieces of clothing that belonged to Kaiser from top to bottom, then Charlotte threw them at Kaiser at once.

"Get dressed now, don't treat my house like a madhouse like you!"

When that pile of clothes fell on him, Kaiser muttered as if nothing had happened.

"Mhmm."

"Don't answer me like that, get up now and get dressed!"

"Charlotte, you're making a fool of yourself."

Daniel grumbled and raised the sausage to his mouth with his fork and ate it, then added.

"We both know he won't wake up as long as Kaiser sleeps naked."

"This is crazy."

Red crept up Charlotte's cheeks, and she backed away.

"I swear I won't forgive him if something bad happens to my eyes. I'm going to hit you, do you hear me?!"

She pointed at Kaiser for a moment, then headed into the kitchen.

"You mean by something that's bad for your eyes is seeing him naked? Well I agree with you."

Daniel leaned back in the chair and smiled.

"If you don't shut your mouth too, I'll beat you up with him."

"Okay, I apologize."

Daniel tilted his head and went back to eating his food without turning to Charlotte again.

Charlotte stopped in the kitchen, took a deep breath until she calmed down and went back to cooking.

After she finished, she arranged the two additional eggs and three sausages in the lunch box, adding some vegetables such as carrots and cucumbers, then Charlotte carefully closed the box.

She made a happy smile without realizing it, after having the idea of serving Leonid the first breakfast.

Her heart was beating with happiness

She put the lunch box in the paper bag and headed to her bedroom to change her clothes. Because Natalia was in her bedroom, Charlotte had to change her clothes in the bathroom.

Since Leonid spoke ill of her short skirt, Charlotte decided to wear black shorts with a white sweater.

Charlotte patted her cheeks as she stared in the mirror one last time before making the first crazy move she'd ever thought of.

"You can do it. Yes, I can do it!"

Charlotte closed her fist and felt energy flowing through her body, pushing her forward. She opened the bathroom door and walked out.

She combed her hair and took the paper bag. On her way, Charlotte noticed that Daniel had left after closing the curtains in the living room. Well, Kaiser might have asked him to do that, otherwise Daniel wouldn't have done anything useful.

After taking her phone, Charlotte left her apartment for the first time for her crazy mission.

She walked nine precise steps, then dared to knock on Leonid's apartment door three lightly. Charlotte's roads were light and low-pitched at Leonid's door.

Perhaps she should have rang the bell, but Charlotte felt that knocking on the door with her knuckles would be better, since if she was not destined to meet Leonid, the door would never open, whether she knocked hard or not.

Charlotte sighed and felt the weight of the responsibility of knocking on the door. When was the last time she knocked on someone's door? Was it before she moved here?

Charlotte closed her fist and tried again. This time it occurred to her that Leonid might not be in his apartment at the moment.

"But today is a holiday."

Charlotte sighed and leaned her head against the door, feeling upset about herself. Why is she so weak and afraid to put herself out there?

Charlotte's black eyes stared at her hand, which was beginning to tremble. After a few moments of contemplation, she decided to knock on the door one last time. If Charlotte does not get a response from Leonid, she will flee to her apartment as if nothing had happened.

Charlotte gathered her strength into her fist and knocked on the door one last time.

"I'm coming."

Charlotte's fist stopped in the air and she felt heat sweeping across her cheeks after hearing Leonid finally respond.

She was just excited, but now she was scared and shy.

Charlotte thought about leaving the paper bag and running away quickly, but that plan was destroyed before it could be implemented after Leonid opened the door and greeted her.

Charlotte stiffened and stared at Leonid, who stared at her.

"It's you."

After Leonid's icy blue eyes studied Charlotte for a moment, that was all he said.

He ran a hand through his shaggy silver hair before leaning against the doorframe and crossing his arms.

"Yes…"

Her black eyes looked at the side-swept silver locks, then the simple gray jacket and tight black pants. It was rare to see Leonid in such a casual look. In the end, Charlotte couldn't control her eyes as they stared at Leonid as she answered him.

She could see how attractive Leonid's body was, and it made her blush and look away.

"I apologize for keeping you out until this moment. Then why are you here?"

"You…apologize?"

Her eyes flashed for a moment and she added quickly.

"Did you hear those knocks from the beginning?!"

At first, Leonid furrowed his eyebrows at Charlotte's sudden enthusiasm, but he did not comment on this and answered her question frankly.

"Of course I heard."

Charlotte was happy that Leonid paid attention to the sound of her low knock, rather than feeling sad about having been ignored for so long.

"Then why are you here, it's not your habit to go out of your area."

"Oh I almost forgot. Well this one's for you."

Charlotte held the paper bag up to Leonid and waited for him to take it. This was definitely the boldest move she had made since she knew what it was like to like someone.

"What is this?"

Leonid only raised an eyebrow and did not reach out to take the paper bag from Charlotte's hand.

"It's breakfast for… you."

His icy blue eyes stared at the paper bag and then at Charlotte for a while until he said.

"I can't eat it now. I also don't know if I can eat it later."

He paused for a moment, then picked up the paper bag from Charlotte's hand.

"Thank you anyway."

Leonid stepped back after thanking Charlotte.

"Wait a minute please‼"

However, he stopped when Charlotte stopped him. Leonid stared at Charlotte's face with a cold expression, waiting for her to speak.

On the other hand, Charlotte folded her hands together in response, digging her nails into the outer layer of her skin and not going very deep.

"What else?"

After hearing Leonid's cold tone, Charlotte hid her hands behind her back. It took mental and physical effort until she said in a low voice.

"Nothing… I just wanted to ask you, why do you think you can't have breakfast now or later even though today is a public holiday."

"Are you curious?"

"Sorry to bother you."

"It's okay I like you being curious. Do you have plans for today, Lady Charlotte?"

"no… "

Charlotte quickly shook her head with the blunt answer.

"Then you can come in."

"What? "

"What, what? Don't you want to see why I'm so busy with myself or has your curiosity suddenly disappeared?"

Leonid did not wait for Charlotte's answer and entered his apartment, leaving the door behind him open for her.

Left alone and staring at the entrance to Leonid's apartment, Charlotte found it difficult to get inside but she was very excited.

After staring for a while, Charlotte gently closed the door behind her after entering and walked towards the living room with somewhat stiff steps.

"Nothing bad will happen… I won't be a bad person."

Charlotte reassured herself in a low voice and continued walking until she stopped.

The design of Leonid's apartment was very similar to Charlotte's, with the living room in the middle and the kitchen connected to it, and that and a small corridor that contained the doors to the bedroom and bathroom.

However, the apartment contained Leonid's special and unique touch.

"what…"

Charlotte's eyes flashed and she regained consciousness after seeing the disaster in the living room.

"Happened here?"

She asked as she looked at Leonid who had rolled up his sleeves.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to fix the window."

Leonid shrugged his shoulders at Charlotte's question and answered in a monotone voice as he got to work on the stuck window.

"I don't mean the window. In fact, I didn't notice it was stuck."

"I see, so you mean the floor."

Charlotte nodded and looked around.

In return, Leonid continued speaking.

"Well, because of the stuck window, water seeped in and the wind destroyed the rest."

Leonid turned to Charlotte and raised an eyebrow.

"Did you forget what you said yesterday?"

"no!"

Charlotte answered quickly and shook her head. It was impossible to forget what had happened between her and Leonid, those words and that feeling of his breath on her face.

Charlotte waved her hand in the air and tried to fan herself while blushing.

Fortunately, Leonid did not see what happened to her. He looked out the window after Charlotte nodded.

Charlotte kept trying to calm herself and lowered her head, looking down. As she stared down, something caught her eye.

"What is this?."

Charlotte quickly pointed her index finger at the rather gigantic black pile on the soaked floor.

"This… it's my coat."

"What the coat is doing here?"

"Well I have no idea either. Maybe I used it as a floor mop by accident."

"Aha…"

Charlotte's black eyes lit up and she smiled.

"Well it's a practical idea. I actually didn't expect you to be this kind of person."

"What kind of person are you talking about?"

"Huh?"

Unintentionally, Charlotte fell into an unenviable position. By helping Leonid take care of Hunter, Charlotte knew full well that someone like Leonid would become scary if he got angry.

How could Charlotte tell him that he was an irresponsible person, that would be an intentional suicide.

Her eyes flashed for a moment as she looked at the coat, then she said as calmly as she could.

"I don't know, I forgot."

"You."

Leonid turned to Charlotte and took a quick glance before returning to work at the window saying.

"You mean to answer that way, don't you?"

"no."

Charlotte shook her head and quietly denied Leonid's accusations.

"Good."

Leonid muttered coldly as he worked. His silver locks were slipping over his forehead due to the slight wind swirling around him as he leaned against the window frame, almost sitting on the outside.

She looked at Leonid's view for a moment and began to feel uneasy. Charlotte placed her hands behind her back and said in a low voice.

"Um… aren't you going to fall like this?"

"no."

"Are you sure. But what if something goes wrong and you fall?"

"Nothing will go wrong, trust me."

Leonid's responses were calm and indifferent. He moved the tool in his hand and tried to remove the small white piece stuck in the window.

Her eyes wandered over Leonid's sight calmly. Charlotte had come here to serve breakfast to Leonid, but he placed the meal she had prepared for him on the table and continued his work.

She lowered her head slightly, then moved slowly and approached Leonid.
