Chapter 294: The Power of Joining Forces—"I Am a Medical Ninja!"

The four enemy shinobi, witnessing the scene unfold, no longer dared to underestimate Reiki and Shisui. And with Nozuki poised on the side as if preparing an ultimate technique, their nerves were on edge.

Even facing children, it seemed they had to go all out.

With a mutual nod of understanding, two of the enemy ninjas prepared to launch their attacks.

"Water Release: Great Breakthrough!"

"Earth Release: Great Collapse!"

They unleashed their jutsu to halt Reiki and Shisui's advance.

"It's too late to start taking us seriously now," Shisui said, his voice cutting through the chaos as he darted forward, his short sword striking with deadly precision.

One enemy ninja barely managed to raise his kunai in defense, shock evident in his eyes. He hadn't even sensed Shisui's movement until the blade was nearly upon him. If not for his honed reflexes, he would have been critically injured.

"Pfft!" On the other side, another enemy was less fortunate, his body pierced by Shisui's sword and rendered powerless.

"Stone Seal!"

"Damn it, when did they flank us?" The remaining two enemy ninjas, now cornered, surged toward Reiki. Judging from their assessment, the tide of battle shifted when Reiki joined. He was now their top priority.

They attacked with fluid, precise strikes, their long blades glinting in the light. The sharp clang of metal and skilled parries echoed across the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Shisui engaged a third jonin, who was formidable but unable to shift his full focus away from Shisui's relentless Sharingan-enhanced attacks.

"Almost ready?" Reiki called out, retreating from the skirmish momentarily.

"Ready," Nozuki replied, eyes sharp with anticipation.

"Room!" Reiki activated his technique, and Nozuki appeared before the two unsuspecting enemies. Her fists, charged with chakra, slammed into them with explosive force. The two shinobi were flung back, lifeless as ragdolls.

The last standing enemy looked around, wide-eyed and bewildered. Moments ago, Nozuki had been distant and seemingly unprepared for battle. How had she managed such a sudden and powerful attack?

Shisui took this opportunity. "You underestimated us. Respect your opponents, or face the consequences." He raised his fingers, and shadow clones appeared around him, all maintaining a sealing stance.

"Clones?" the remaining jonin sneered. "Hah, using clones against a jonin? I'll—"

"Flying Thunder God: Instant Turbulence!" Before the jonin could react, the clones launched their coordinated assault. A flurry of high-speed strikes overwhelmed him, and he crumpled, unconscious and heavily injured.

"These aren't just clones," he muttered before blacking out.

Shisui smirked as he retrieved his sword. "As you asked, I didn't kill him," he said, turning to Reiki. "Now, should we help Sakumo-sama?"

"We're finished here too!" Nozuki called, her eyes bright with adrenaline. Reiki, meanwhile, was already tending to the injured, sealing their wounds and administering treatment.

Hatake Sakumo, still fending off his attackers with ease, called over his shoulder, "Good work, but be vigilant. They may still target you."

"Understood, Uncle Sakumo!" Reiki, Shisui, and Nozuki chorused, continuing to watch the fight but staying ready for any sudden need to retreat. Reiki resumed his treatment, focused and efficient.

One of the injured enemy shinobi, eyes wide with confusion, asked weakly, "Why… why are you treating me?"

"I'm a medical ninja; it's my duty," Reiki replied with a bright smile. "Besides, I want to learn how different injuries respond to treatment. Only through experience can I become the best medical ninja."

The words struck a chord in the jonin's heart. He remembered the dreams he had when he first became a shinobi, dreams that had since been replaced by duty and blind orders. Was it time to rediscover those dreams?

As the healing process continued, a newfound determination flickered in the jonin's eyes. But just as he felt his strength returning, a sudden, sharp pain shot through his leg.

"Crack!"

"What the—?! What are you doing?" he shouted, only to be silenced by a flurry of punches.

"Oh, I'm not satisfied with the previous treatment, so I'm re-treating you," Reiki said sincerely, his expression almost apologetic. "Don't worry; you're hurt again, but I'll treat you right after."

The shinobi's confusion deepened as Reiki's relentless treatment continued, a testament to his dedication—or perhaps, to his unique brand of merciless mercy.
