Winning The Case

As I drove my car, I couldn't shake the feeling that by tomorrow, Hansitha would surely be mine. When I arrived back at the hotel, I discovered that Janu and Padma had not yet returned from their shopping trip.

I texted Janu and Padma to ask when they would be back, and they replied that they would be returning soon. As I lay on the bed, pondering what to do, I considered that I would need some money in the real world. I thought about buying gold while I was here, but then a more audacious idea crossed my mind: why not just rob the U.S. Federal Reserve? With around 9,000 tonnes of gold stored there, it would be more than enough to last a lifetime.

But then I realized that even though I could fly using my telekinesis, my speed wasn't fast enough to make the trip worthwhile. It would take ages to reach the Federal Reserve, even with time paused, and I didn't want to spend so long flying.

As I contemplated this, another idea struck me: the next movie world I would visit could be "Resident Evil," which was set in America. If I made my way there, I could just rob whatever I needed without having to tire myself out now. It seemed like a much more practical option.

As I considered entering the "Resident Evil" world, a nagging doubt crept in: if I stayed in that universe after the movie ended, would the events of "Resident Evil 2" start automatically? After all, the world wouldn't really repair itself if I didn't take Alice out or make any big changes in the plot?

To figure it out, I glanced at the "Resident Evil" movie I had downloaded. I ordered the system to play it and saw that the time bar displayed 8.25 hours, containing all parts of the series. This was great news—I could adjust the time bar to any point I wanted without needing to download each installment separately whether it was Marvel, DC, Fast and Furious, or Harry Potter.

I realized that I could pause time when I left that world and enter another one in the future, preventing the universe from repairing itself or restarting. This gave me a strategic advantage; I could explore the "Resident Evil" universe, plundering resources and wealth, all while minimizing the risk of disrupting the timeline or having to deal with any unforeseen consequences.

As I got lost in my thoughts about the "Resident Evil" universe, I noticed Padma and Janu returning from their shopping spree. They looked exhausted, their arms laden with bags filled with their finds. Clearly, their day had been full of activity, and I could tell they were ready to unwind.

I quickly picked up the phone and called the hotel's front desk to arrange for dinner for three. I ordered a selection of dishes that I knew everyone would enjoy—some hearty pasta, a couple of fresh salads, and a few desserts to satisfy any sweet cravings.

After a delightful dinner filled with laughter and stories from Padma and Janu, we decided to settle in for the night. I nestled comfortably between them, wrapping my arms around each of them. Before drifting off, I shared tender kisses with both, feeling a warmth envelop me as they snuggled closer.

Morning came softly, and as I stirred awake, I noticed Janu and Padma were still lost in their dreams. Carefully, I utilized my telekinesis to rise without disturbing them, creating a quiet space to gather my thoughts. I took a refreshing shower, letting the water wake me up fully, and afterward, I enjoyed a light breakfast, savoring every bite.

Before leaving, I penned a quick note on the table, letting them know I had to meet Hansitha regarding the court case. I wanted them to know where I was going but also to assure them I'd be back.

Once I was ready, I reached for my phone and called Masood, "Bring all the lawyers from Vlad Enterprises to the hearing," I instructed him. "And send them the evidence for the Veerandra case. We need to prepare the legal team to fight it swiftly and decisively."

I stepped out of my car and made my way towards the courthouse, eager to attend the hearing. As I approached, I was met with a sea of people – reporters, lawyers, and members of the public lined the entrance.

Upon inquiry, I found that the proceedings had already commenced. I saw Masood entering the courthouse, accompanied by a team of lawyers. He approached me with his legal team.

Assured by the lawyers that victory was certain, I accompanied them as we strode toward the courtroom. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the sound of Veerandra's lawyer spewing unfounded accusations, claiming that the girl was pregnant.

I noticed the girl's parents sitting nearby, their expressions grave. Turning my gaze to Hansitha, I saw that her eyes were filled with tears, her distress evident.

I felt heartache looking at her crying so sadly. She didn't notice me and I quickly told the lawyers that came with me to shut the mouth of Veerandra's lawyer. I was angry looking at Veerandra and his lawyer because they were the ones who made my woman cry. I would surely give them torture them to death.

I rushed to Hansitha's side. When she saw me, she fell into my arms, tears streaming down her face. "Vlad, I... I lost the case," she whispered. "Look at me, Hansitha," I said, my voice sharp and demanding. "I won't let this happen. They will pay for making you cry. I promise you that." My eyes narrowed as I looked over at the opposing counsel, my expression dark with fury.

I assured Hansitha that I had gathered all the evidence we needed and brought my lawyer to fight the case. With our new information presented, the tide of the case quickly turned. The judge was left with no choice but to rule in our favor, despite any previous inclination to side with Veerandra.

In the end, Hansitha won the case, and her joy lit up the room. The parents of the girl who filed the case were also relieved and happy with the outcome. As I glanced over at Veerandra, his lawyer, and the judge, a dark resolve took hold of me. Fueled by my anger, I used my telekinesis to twist their limbs, causing their bones to crack as I made them feel a fraction of the pain they had inflicted on others.

Everyone started looking at them as they fell down immediately and started screaming in pain. I looked at Hansitha and saw she was shocked just like others about what happened to the three of them.
