Azuraelle, Daughter of Tiamat

Chapter 7: Azuraelle, Daughter of Tiamat

Seventeen Years Ago

Russian Federation, Wolfspine City

When a gorgeous woman was once a ten-year-old girl.

Azuraelle's Point of View:

I watch the boy leaving my side— or rather being carried away by his bodyguards without letting him introduce himself. Though they leave one of them behind to protect me.

I'm confused.

Why? What happened? Why did he suddenly leave? My heart raced in his presence! Why did he have to leave?!

...Something is off.

I can feel this strange foreboding, which I haven't gotten used to since my birth yet.

I can't control it. I'm unable to, and no Dragon can; that's what my mother and aunts told me.

I, of course, know what it is.

My Dragon instincts are tingling.

My senses are on high-alert. My heart is racing faster.

Badump

Badump

Why?

Why do I feel like on the verge of crying for HIM?

What's happening to me?!

Suddenly, my Dragon senses switch to something else, and tell me to move away from the man beside me. Confused, I look to my side and—

BANG

A loud, banging sound, shoots through the air, as something tiny yet fast penetrates the bodyguard's head from his side.

Gulp

"W- Whoa..." A sharp gasp escapes my mouth as I reflexively take a step back and watch in horror as the bodyguard slowly falls lifeless to the ground.

Oh no...

Mommy... Auntie...

I don't want to use my power!— I'm too afraid...

"Hieee..." Just as I'm about to run away, I hear another loud sound.

Bang

My view turns into a slow motion, as I slowly turn my head back to look at where the killer is at.

He's there... stationed at a tall building...

His weapon is glittering like a white star as he clearly watches me with his masked face.

And as my gaze falls to my nose—

I can see what humans call 'bullet' floating mere inches from my face and slowly nearing.

Mommy...

Help...

Indeed. At that time, I never knew dragons had regeneration...

I was naive.

But I changed.

My world-view point also changed.

Everything about me changed during that fateful... traumatizing [for him and I], beautiful day.

Why was it traumatizing?

—Because the one I love had lost his parents, and everything when I had the power to act and help.

And no, it wasn't because of the bodyguard who got shot in the head. I don't feel anything when I recall the vision, unlike how I feel the rage, sadness, and regret about the simple information of knowing that that kid had lost his parents.

What changed me?

It was so sudden, so abrupt, yet so right — as if destiny played a role here.

It never felt forced.

—I changed when I met a certain someone.

A boy...

No. A man.

His name is...

—Ding

For whatever reason, my world blacks out— though I'm not feeling hurt nor painful.

However, before I completely fall... I see her.

Blue hair... A very long blue hair that reaches down to the floor.

Mommy...

I felt contented back then when that word echoed in my mind.

WHAT WAS MY REACTION AFTER LEARNING OF WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM?!!?

Simple.

I killed everyone.

As simple as that.

—Everyone died.

All who caused pain for HIM!

All who took part in causing pain for HIM!

All who watched and did nothing for HIM!

All who knew and never cared about HIM!

SELFISH? I'M SELFISH TOO!

My Darling is my Happiness!

You bring Pain to my Happiness, you bring it to me.

That qualifies you to die.

So everyone died.

—But wait.

I was young then. I never knew what love is.

So why did I do this?

...

...

...

—I don't know.

Or rather, I didn't know yet.

But! When I met him... I felt what my aunt once storytold me.

The feeling of warmth, of the heart racing, of wanting to submit, of wanting to possess... The urge of wanting to claim.

He...is my Dragon Knight.

Dragons, and other creatures, as my aunts and mother explained to me when I was four years old, are different than humans as they operate and interact differently.

Take my Dragon instincts for an example.

Unlike other creatures and races, they never betray me. They're always true, and the same applies to every dragon, so all dragons follow their instincts.

And the instinct I had experienced during that day was very intense — so much I felt like crying from its intensity.

What was it about?

That boy. Must be. Mine.

How? I don't know. All I knew back then was I needed to have a strong bond with him.

Third Person Point of View:

One Month Later

"Th-Th-The monster is comin— Aaaaahhh!"

POW, BANG, BANG, POW.

Gunfire erupted, lighting up the dimly lit hall in short barrage of bursts.

Blood splattered across the floor, body parts strewn everywhere, while lifeless corpses either were laying on the floors, or draped over chairs, desks, and stairs.

"SHOOT—" A man in Kevlar shouted, but before he could finish, his head flew into the air, blood spraying from his neck.

Slash.

A glowing arc cut through the air, followed by the sound of tearing coming from a sharp blade.

THUD.

Heads, limbs, and torsos fell in pieces, and the sound of something dropping was loud enough for the hall to echo with the heavy thud of bodies hitting the ground.

The hall fell into silence.

What caused this 'carnage'?

A young 'girl'.

With beautiful and surreal vibrant azure hair flowing behind, a young 'girl' in a white dress with gold details stood before the carnage with a cold gaze full of hatred and rage.

Blood stained her gorgeous face and the dress she was wearing.

Yet she didn't seem to care, as she casually waved the long weapon in her right hand, like it was nothing heavy, just to rid it of the dark red liquid.

The blade held by her was simply majestic. It was a sword with a glowing blue, jagged-edged blade.

The blue metal looked crystalline and sharp, with intricate gold filigree decorating the guard and handle.

Indeed, she was no other than Azuraelle the daughter of Tiamat.

Although she looked quite cold for a baby dragon from the outside, inside she was brimming with hate, rage, sadness, and the desire for revenge.

"I will kill them." Her voice was too cold, and coupled with the coldness of her whispered words and her expression, it was like the edge of an iceberg.

Slowly, she turned to the blood-stained long stairs in front her.

"I will avenge him and lessen my guilt and regret." She spoke coldly again and took her time ascending the steps.

This was the last mansion and business family she had to deal with, as she took down six business households who were affiliated with the main attackers who invaded the Valiant family.

Not to mention, but even some distant relatives and friends of said people were present.

So, all of them died, and in just two hours.

...

"Mom..." Whimpered a Russian boy who was sitting by the corner of a lit bedroom as he was hugged by a woman to her chest.

The boy looked like he was in his preteens.

"Shhh. Everything is going to be okay my child." The woman smiled reassuringly and hugged the kid tighter.

BAM

The room's door was blown away, with a huge hole on it before splintering into pieces against the wall.

Startled, both the boy and the woman looked towards the now vacant entrance in panic.

And what they saw, sent shivers down their spines.

A young 'girl' no taller than 130 cm slowly took a step inside.

Part of her face and dress was coated with blood, and she was approaching the two with a wide, crazy grin that flashed all her teeth.

"Nope~ Heehee~!"

Her voice was sweet, almost sing-song, but the eerie undertone made the hairs on the their necks stand on end.

The girl, taking another step forward, swayed with her bloodied smile widening as she held her blade upside down and dragged it by the floor.

The two watched the 'girl' approach them with horror, however the woman quickly got up and stood in front of the boy as she extended her arms to cover him.

"Sto—"

Slash

Before she could finish, her body was cut in half diagonally, and her blood splattered across the boy's face as he watched her lower half fall after her upper half.

His mother died in infront of him, and what did he do?

"Bleergghhh..." He vomitted his dinner— 'Finally got rid of this bitch.' And that was his thought about his own mother.

The girl's smile widened further as she looked down at the boy in disgust and flaming hate.

"Die." She coldly spoke and swung her sword so fast the boy didn't have the chance to open his eyes, nor lift his head to at least know what killed him.

Make no mistake, the boy and his mother were more evil and monstrous than the girl.

How?

—The mother often was kidnapping young women on the streets late at night to watch them get raped for her enjoyment before tossing them to be dog food.

The boy?

He was just like his mother, but very similar to his father when he also was young; he raped women and sometimes even at his mother's request as she watched.

And Azuraelle knew that.

How?

...Her mother is Tiamat, a Mother and Primordial Dragon Goddess, so something as obvious and trivial like this information is as clear as seawater for them.

"You were purged for your heinous crimes, and mainly for hurting him." The girl's smile died as she spat at the boy's dead body.

She leaned down to wipe the blood off of her face and longsword on the woman's dress.

Standing up, Azuraelle's face suddenly beamed up with happiness; "I avenged him! Yay!"

She started jumping with her arms thrown above her head as she repeated: "I did it! I did it! I did it!"

"My first achievement! For him! Yaaaayyy~!" She exclaimed and jumped and hopped over and over. She was so happy!

She never felt so jovial. And her regret slightly lessened.

This was her first achievement in her long immortal life.

She felt very happy she couldn't even describe the feeling right now!
