Chapter 10: Suicide?...

"Not bad!" Lancaster slowly raised her hand, wiping away a trace of blood from her cheek.

"Piece of cake!" Daniel nocked another arrow on his bow and began to move slowly.

A strange circle of golden-haired elves appeared on the platform.

His movements were so slow that every minute detail could be clearly seen, yet it seemed as if he'd already repeated the same actions hundreds of times in that instant.

"Look, it's the elves' signature technique, *Cup Bow Snake Shadow*!"

Each Daniel drew his bow. "The next arrow is coming!"

Lief tugged at Sacre's sleeve. "Big brother won't get hurt, right?"

"Don't worry!" Sacre crossed his arms over his chest, a faint smile on his lips. "If he were that easy to defeat, he wouldn't be my queen!"

"But the essence of the elves' technique lies in the fact that any one of these figures might not just be an illusion. Until he makes a move, it's impossible to find his true body," Cain remarked.

"Relax, relax," Sacre waved dismissively. "Trust him, okay?"

In an instant, the arena suddenly became extremely bright, as if countless arrows were aimed at the very center where Lancaster stood.

Numerous Daniel held their bows, grinning arrogantly.

"Lancaster!" Lief couldn't help but cry out.

"Lord Lancaster!" A number of girls fainted in the stands.

The arrows' speed increased, resembling meteors about to pierce through Lancaster's body in the next moment.

Lancaster began to move, a blue sword aura spiraling upward.

All the arrows were drawn toward the vortex, creating the sound of clashing metal.

The audience watched as the blue vortex began to shift, moving toward Daniel at the edge of the arena.

Its path was unpredictable; it seemed to head east, but the next second it appeared in the west.

Those seated closest to the arena felt a chilling sword intent, as one by one, the illusions disappeared wherever the blue vortex passed.

Bang! In the northwest corner of the arena, the vortex collided with the last figure.

A brief but intense clash echoed, and everyone strained their eyes, trying to see what had happened.

"Sacre, what happened?"

"As expected of my queen!" Sacre was now in full-blown adoration mode. "What a brilliant technique!"

"That elf isn't bad either. He's managing to defend flawlessly against such a fierce assault. He deserves applause," Manning praised.

When the vortex finally dissipated, everyone, with their eyes strained from staring too long, could finally see the two golden-haired beauties at the center of the arena.

Clang! Daniel had blocked Lancaster's blue short sword, which had appeared in her hand at some point, with his bow.

His clothes were in tatters, almost reduced to strips of fabric, and he had some wounds on his body.

As for Lancaster, only her hand had a crack from the impact.

Daniel extended his tongue and licked the blood at the corner of his lips, his smile strangely seductive.

"You have quite a taste! I'm having a lucky day!" As he said this, his feet didn't stop moving, and once again, illusions filled the arena.

"You're not bad either!" Lancaster laughed loudly and chased after him with a speed that matched Daniel's.

A very peculiar scene unfolded.

There were now dozens of Daniels facing dozens of Lancasters on the arena stage.

"Sacre, what's going on?" Lief asked.

"Oh~~ my queen, fight if you must, but why toy with him? You even tore his clothes! Look, you made him bleed. That's too much! Am I not enough for you? Why didn't I realize before that you're an SM enthusiast? Oh~~ my queen!" Sacre was completely lost in self-pity and ignored Lief.

Lief wisely turned his head toward Cain and the others.

"Strange, for some reason, I've never heard of a human using the *Cup Bow Snake Shadow* technique!" Cain was also perplexed.

The battle on stage grew increasingly intense, with one spectacular move after another.

"Amazing!" Daniel, now fully immersed in the fight, threw aside his bow and punched toward Lancaster's cheek.

"Ah!" The audience gasped in shock.

Lancaster easily dodged and sheathed her sword, engaging Daniel in hand-to-hand combat.

Hearing Cain's remark, he called out, "This isn't *Cup Bow Snake Shadow*. It's a technique I invented, called *Grass and Trees Are Soldiers*. Hmm, what a great name!"

As he spoke, the two of them exchanged several more moves.

"Oh! Lord Lancaster, you're so handsome! I love you to death!" A young girl in the audience had hearts in her eyes.

With a series of bangs, dust flew up from the stage as the ground began to collapse under the strain.

The two figures were soon obscured by the swirling dust.

In a flash, Daniel suddenly disappeared from the battlefield.

"Lancaster, how about this move?" His voice came from the sky.

Daniel's bow had been drawn into a full arc, and the next second, the arrow would be released.

"Not impressive enough!" Lancaster's figure vanished as well.

He reappeared above Daniel, his right hand gently guiding the way.

A fiery red fireball came whistling from above, hurtling straight toward Daniel, who was still mid-air and unable to reposition himself in time.

"He's won! He's won! Lancaster is going to win!" Lief cheered.

"Not so fast! This move might work well against those half-orcs, but it's not enough to deal with an elf, who is born a natural magician," Cain coldly poured a bucket of cold water on the excitement.

But neither Cain, nor Lief, nor anyone else present could have predicted what happened next.

"How could this be?" Lancaster, who had been calmly smiling a moment ago, suddenly went pale. He shot downward faster than the fireball, spreading his arms wide to shield Daniel.

In the next moment, the fireballs all struck him squarely.

"Lancaster!"
