Chapter 72: Bet
"Is... is that true? Why don't I remember it?"
Erina's face flushed. She couldn't bring herself to meet Sui's gaze, her head lowered as her voice grew softer and softer.
"Of course. As one of the Ten Elites and the heir of the Nakiri family, you wouldn't go back on your word, would you?" Sui asked, looking at her intently.
"Of course not!"
Erina gritted her teeth, shouting in embarrassment and frustration, "Fine! I'll agree to it, okay?"
Sui's eyes lit up, and he asked with a smile, "So, Erina, you're agreeing to be my girlfriend?"
"Only because of our agreement," Erina said, her face still burning. She looked down at her feet and added, "But if I remember correctly, boyfriends and girlfriends can break up, right? So if you make me unhappy, I'll break up with you on the spot."
"Sure, that's fair," Sui nodded, trying not to laugh.
"Now, I'm going to take a shower."
Erina could feel her cheeks growing even hotter, her heart racing like mad. She hurriedly turned and rushed upstairs, unable to face him any longer.
But as soon as she entered the bathroom, she noticed Sui following her inside. Panic flashed in her eyes as she asked, "What are you doing in here? Didn't I say I was going to take a shower?"
"Yeah, but I want to shower too. Isn't it normal for a couple to shower together?" Sui replied with a playful grin.
Erina was so infuriated she nearly choked. "I agreed to be your girlfriend, but I 'never' agreed to shower with you!" she roared, before kicking him out of the bathroom.
Outside the bathroom, Sui stood with a defeated expression when suddenly, the system's voice chimed in.
"The host has successfully captured Erina and completed the ultimate mission of 'Shokugeki no Soma'. You have now unlocked the key to the gate to the next world."
"Wait, does this really count?" Sui muttered, scratching his head. Judging by how embarrassed Erina was, it seemed she wasn't thrilled about being his girlfriend... or was she secretly happy deep down?
Later, while the exhausted tsundere girl slept, Sui stood at the bathroom door, contemplating his next move.
"The gate to the next world has opened. To enter, the host simply needs to reopen this bathroom door, which will serve as a portal to the next anime world," the system explained.
"And what about the world of 'Shokugeki'?" Sui asked.
"It will still exist. Whenever the host wishes to return, simply think of this world before opening the door, and it will bring you back," the system clarified.
"That's good to hear."
Sui nodded thoughtfully. Having finally "captured" the ever-difficult Erina, he wasn't about to let her slip away. But the lure of the next world intrigued him.
"All right, let's see what's next," he said, taking a deep breath before opening the bathroom door.
A gust of wind hit Sui as he found himself suddenly standing on a blue planet. In the distance, an evil-looking alien smirked menacingly.
"Namek only has five minutes left. It's going to explode soon," the creature sneered.
Standing opposite him was a man with wild, golden hair, who screamed in fury, "Frieza, you bastard!"
Sui was stunned. What was happening? Had he somehow entered the world of 'Dragon Ball'?
Both Frieza and Goku turned to Sui, equally surprised by his sudden appearance.
"Who are you? Are you one of the Saiyan's allies?" Frieza snarled, glaring at Sui.
"Apologies for the inconvenience," the system voice interrupted, "The host has been mistakenly teleported to an S-level anime world: 'Dragon Ball'. You will be returned to the original world in five seconds."
Sui was speechless. 'Was this really happening?'
"Frieza," Sui said nonchalantly, "I suggest you run as far as you can, while you still can."
Frieza chuckled darkly. "Are you joking? Why would I fear a filthy monkey?"
Before the villain could react, a flash of light enveloped Sui, and he found himself back in his room.
"That was... intense," Sui muttered, clutching his chest in relief.
"The error has been corrected. The host may now proceed with the teleportation," the system announced.
"All right," Sui said, still a little shaken. He opened the bathroom door once more.
This time, he arrived in a large, gothic castle. The sky outside was pitch black, and towering spires seemed to pierce the heavens. Fires burned all around, and the air was filled with battle cries and the scent of death.
"The host has successfully crossed over. Simultaneous language translation has been activated," the system informed him.
"Oh. Where am I now?" Sui muttered, confused.
Just then, an armored warrior appeared, flanked by a priest and another soldier. The warrior raised a holy sword, pointing it directly at Sui.
"Demon King! We have stormed your castle. You have nowhere left to run!" the warrior declared coldly.
Sui blinked. 'What was going on?'
"Apologies," the system chimed in once more, "There was another error. You will return to the original world in ten seconds."
Sui groaned. 'Can you fix these bugs before sending me anywhere?'
Since he only had a few moments left, Sui decided to have some fun. "I'm only retreating temporarily," he declared with a villainous smirk. "I will return, stronger than ever!"
With that, his body lit up, and he was transported back to his room.
"Can you please fix all the problems before you let me time travel again?" Sui grumbled, Tohruoughly exasperated.
"The issue will be resolved by tomorrow," the system responded.
"Forget it, I'm going to bed," Sui muttered. He brushed his teeth, washed his face, and finally collapsed onto his bed.
---
In the other world, the armored warrior stood in shock. "The Demon King used a magic portal to escape! What should we do?"
"We can't let him get away. No matter where he goes, I will hunt him down and defeat him," the warrior declared, removing her helmet to reveal long, silver hair and a determined expression.
Just then, a magical portal appeared. Without hesitation, the warrior stepped through, clutching her holy sword.
Moments later, the brave hero emerged onto a busy city street. She looked around in confusion and whispered to herself, "Where is the Demon King? And what kind of world is this?"
