Umbra and Chiara

Umbra and Chiara

There was so much to unpack and Christopher needed a second to unpack everything.

After inspecting Silver for a while, he nodded at his progress.

"I'm much stronger now, master." He said happily and Christopher nodded with a smile, no longer shocked by the turn of events.

"Alright, go explore the place, I'll call you again when I need you." Christopher instructed and Silver nodded before straight up disappearing.

'With that light attribute, his already fast speed will be insane. It's like giving wings to a tiger.' Christopher thought while shaking his head.

'Well, let's check out my progress.'

<Name: Christopher< p>

Race: Primordial Human (Toddler)

Rank: Purple

Affinity: Magic Helix

Physique: Low Unparalleled

Bloodline: Primordial Human

Dimensional abilities→ >

Christopher saw this and his eyes widened. It was a huge jump.

'Though, how come I'm only at the stage of a toddler?' He thought in confusion.

<The growth stages for a Primordial Human gets exponentially more difficult as time passes. And very rarely did reach adulthood.> The system explained.

"Woah, that's extreme. Well, whatever. Let's see these Dimensional abilities." Christopher shrugged and continued with his observations.

<Time Dilation: 2:1< p>

Dimensional Enslavement (Level 2)

Dimensional Management (Level 2)

Dimensional Assault (Level 1)>

Christopher saw that all the existing things had leveled up along with there being a new ability.

"Time dilation is self explanatory. But it's still awesome because that means that a day inside is just twelve hours out there. Which makes a lot of things possible." He muttered to himself knowing fully well that he was going to abuse the absolute hell out of this skill.

He realized the other two things had simply become easier to use, then there was the Dimensional Assault.

<Dimensional Assault (Level 1): The master can use his dimension as a form of attack. If the wills it, summon Dimension with and throw it at their opponent. Or even better, dimensional management to shrink slap your enemy it.> Christopher felt like the system was excited when it explained the feature. And he didn't blame it, this was very broken.

'With the current size of the dimension, its weight must be insane. If I just shrunk it and punched someone with it, they're screwed are they not?' Christopher thought, his excitement growing by the second. The implications of such a thing we're too good not to get excited about. And what about when the dimension gets bigger? What if it gets as big as a planet? What then?

"Calm yourself." Christopher said and took a deep breath. Excitement wasn't bad, but he couldn't get ahead of himself.

"Okay, let's see my sword now." Christopher thought and held out his hand, and the spot where the tattoo was glowed before the figure of his sword appeared. But he spotted the changes immediately.

It was slightly longer and appeared sharper if that was even possible. The red on it had grown darker and there was a black marking that ran along the length of the blade that resembled lightning. The chain at the bottom of the hilt also gave off a strange aura even in its dormant state.

"Very good." Christopher said in approval.

'I'm glad you're satisfied, Master.' A deep voice suddenly entered his mind causing him to flinch.

"Did you just speak?" He said incredulously and the sword hummed.

'After my evolution, I've gained my own consciousness and will. I thank you for granting such an opportunity, Master.' The sword said with genuine respect in his voice.

"... I see. Well, since you now have a consciousness, then it would only be appropriate to give you a proper name." Christopher said not really questioning the sudden events.

The blade hummed again and Christopher could feel the joy and excitement radiating from it causing him to chuckle.

"Right, from now on, your name will be Scarlet." There was a pause, and then the blade shone brilliantly, and right before his eyes, Christopher saw the name Scarlet etch itself near the bottom of the blade with a deep red glow.

'Scarlet greets Master!' Scarlet said in both joy and reverence and Christopher shook his head amusedly.

"No need to be so respectful. Anyway, I am not in need of you at the moment, so I'll call you out when the time comes." Christopher said.

'I will be waiting for when the Master needs me.' Scarlet said before turning into a streak of light and fusing into his hand.

'Wait, I didn't even get to see his stats. Meh, whatever. He's stronger and that's all that matters. Now then.' Christopher finally turned his attention to the two large eggs he'd been ignoring for the last few hours.

<Light Dragon Egg has been enhanced into Luminous Egg.>

<Darkness Dragon Egg has been enhanced into Tenebris Egg.> Christopher saw the names and knew at heart that it was going to be good.

"System, how do I hatch these?" He asked.

<Master just needs to infuse his Mana into the eggs and they will hatch.> The system instructed.

Christopher nodded and looked at the two eggs that were pretty much the size of half his body. Their surfaces seemed to be made out of scales, and even in their unhatched state, he could feel the dense waves of vitality from the things in the eggs.

"Let's do this." He muttered and put his hands on the two eggs. Their surfaces were cool to the touch.

Immediately, he started pouring his Mana into the eggs without reservation. He knew that the Mana he needed to make them hatch wasn't small, luckily, the Mana in the dimension was twenty thousand times denser than normal. So much so that it was passively entering his body and filling up his tank.

So he didn't need to worry about expenditure and thus, it didn't take long until.

CRACK CRACK!

Two cracks rang out simultaneously and Christopher took a step back as the eggs started to hatch.

He watched in fascination as slowly, or quickly, the eggs started to crack open. And very soon, scaled figures emerged from the now shattered eggs.

The one on the left had scales so dark that they quite literally absorbed the light around them, and Christopher doubted he'd be able to see it if it was nighttime.

And on the left side, it was so white that it was almost hard to look at. But both of them were so exquisite in their forms that one would find it hard to look away.

They both seemed dazed for a moment before their scaled eyes locked in to Christopher, and they immediately pounced on him.

Christopher was about to resist, but he found out that first of all, he could sense their emotions. And he sensed both love and admiration from the both of them.

Thus, he didn't resist when they pounced on him and started to lick him.

He laughed and patted their scaly heads.

"Alright alright. I'm not going anywhere." He said and sat up and managed to calm the two of them.

He looked at both of them and saw how they looked at him as if they were waiting for something causing him to tilt his head.

"Master, name us!"

"Yes master, we want to be named!" They both spoke, allowing Christopher to know the dark one was a male and the light one was female.

"Oh, you guys want to be named?" He asked with a smile, not questioning how they could already talk despite just being born.

"Yes!" They said in unison and he laughed.

"Alright alright. You will be Umbra, and you will be Chiara." Christopher said to the dark Dragon and the light Dragon respectively.

Umbra was the darkest part of a shadow and it felt fitting, and Chiara was of Italian origin meaning Bright or luminous.

Both their eyes widened before they both exclaimed happily and their wings fluttered in excitement. Christopher couldn't help but find the two adorable and rubbed their heads which both let him do happily.

'Ah right, let me see their stats.' He thought when he realized he was getting carried away.

<Name: Umbra< p>

<Name: Chiara< p>

Christopher was amazed but not surprised. He fully expect that their stats would be incredible and he wasn't disappointed.

He ended up failing to resist and hugged the two of them who didn't resist.

"You two are amazing." He praised.

"Hehe." Both of them laughed happily at the praise.

At that moment, Silver suddenly reappeared looking at the scene.

"Ah right. Silver, these two are Umbra and Chiara, you two, this is Silver. He's your elder so treat him with respect, and Silver, don't be hard on these two." The instant the two sides met eyes, Christopher sensed the growing tension, so he didn't hesitate to break the ice.

"Silver, come over and say hi. And the two of you should be nice." Christopher said in a serious tone. Dragons were proud creatures, but he didn't want those under him to start having conflicts with each other due to such a reason. So he'd make them friends whether they liked it or not.

Silver cautiously approached the two and Christopher let them down so that they could get closer to Silver.

The two sides looked at each other for a few seconds before Silver suddenly smiled and said.

"I'm Silver, Master's pet. Nice to meet the two of you." He introduced himself with surprising enthusiasm.

Umbra and Chiara looked at each other hesitantly before nodding their heads towards Silver.

"I'm Umbra." Umbra said.

"And I'm Chiara." Chiara said.

"Nice to meet you." They finally said in unison.

'Geez, they really are twins.' Christopher thought with amusement as the two sides started to converse.

He nodded at this. Good, they were getting along.

He let them converse before sitting down. And thinking for a bit.

'I've achieved my goal of upgrading the dimension. How much would it cost to upgrade it again?' He asked the system.

<Ten times the materials used previously. Including ten medium sized structures.> It answered.

'Okay, that's a long term goal. I think I need to implement my plan of becoming an adventurer now since I can go to different places that get what I need.' He thought and started planning for the future.
