"Papa!" Ava exclaimed in fear and shock, dashing over to him. She dropped to her knees beside her father. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she gently shook him. "Please, open your eyes. Say something!"
Dylan rushed out of the bedroom, his heart lurching at the sight before him. He grabbed his phone and dialed for an ambulance without wasting a second. "We need medical assistance immediately," he barked into the phone.
He knelt beside Ava, placing a steadying arm around her shoulders. "Ava, calm down. The ambulance is on its way. He'll be okay."
The ambulance arrived quickly, and Thomas was rushed to the hospital. There was a rush in the operating room, and it only added to Ava's spiraling fear. Doctors and nurses moved with purpose, their faces tense with focus.
