Haeun let out a sigh of relief, though he still felt uneasy about everything he'd just learned. "So… you don't go on the actual missions? That's good," he said quietly, his voice tinged with concern. "You can't leave me behind."
"Why would I leave my pretty thing behind?" Yeongsoo said with a soft chuckle as he scooped Haeun up into his arms effortlessly, sitting them both down on the couch. "Looking at your face is my starter pack of the day."
Haeun's lips curved into a smile, his heart swelling at the casual affection in Yeongsoo's words. Despite everything, the dangerous world he now understood Yeongsoo lived in, the simple warmth between them made him feel safe.
"Don't say things like that," Haeun muttered, burying his face in Yeongsoo's chest to hide the blush creeping up his cheeks. "It makes me feel like I'm more important than your job."
