As the stream abruptly ended, the shadowy figure vanished from view, leaving the room silent and dark.
A few moments later, Nokotan jolted upright, her energy surging back to life.
"Oh my god, that was insane!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement as she turned to face David. Without a second thought, she leaped forward and wrapped her arms around him in an exuberant hug.
David stumbled slightly, taken aback by her sudden enthusiasm. "Whoa, what—"
"It was so cool! I can't believe the way the game just shifted! I was acting all tired, and then that shadow—did you see their reaction?!" Her words tumbled out in a rapid-fire rant, nearly too fast for him to process.
"The chat went absolutely wild! I knew they'd freak out, but holy moly, they just kept asking about the shadow behind me! I can't wait to edit the highlights; this is going to be legendary!"
David managed a smile, trying to keep up with her energy. "Yeah, it was definitely... something."
She pulled back slightly, still buzzing with excitement, her cheeks flushed. "I mean, did you see how the atmosphere changed? And the way the sound design synced ? Ugh, it was so creepy but also so amazing! I want to play it again tomorrow! We can do it together, right?"
David nodded, still processing the thrill radiating from her. "Sure, we can figure it out."
"Yay!" Nokotan squealed, her joy contagious as she bounced on her feet. "I can't wait! I need to start planning my next stream right now!"
She turned away, already pulling up ideas in her mind, while David watched, a mix of amusement and confusion on his face.
'What the sigma ?' was all david thought as he saw the text messege from a rather odd person, still reeling from Nokotan's excitement.
---
David's eyes scanned the message from Nana, asking him to meet tomorrow for lunch.
He leaned back in his chair, a little surprised.
He had thought she probably forgot about him, especially with her silence over the past few days.
To him, it wasn't a bad thing; after all, staying low-profile meant staying out of All for One's radar—Nana's archenemy and a looming threat he was not yet prepared for.
But she hadn't forgotten. And now, she wanted to meet.
"Well, it's probably better to get this over with," David muttered, typing his reply. After all, avoiding her would only raise more questions.
As soon as he hit send, a familiar Ding! rang in his ears. His system had notified him.
———————
Congratulations on successfully creating the ARG multicreator!
———————
David's eyes lit up. The system was always rewarding him for key achievements, and this time, it was something big.
———————
Considering the choices made by you, the system has decided to grant a strength-oriented reward.
———————
His heart quickened in anticipation. This was the kind of power boost he'd been waiting for, especially knowing what threats lay ahead.
———————
Reward: The Prime Spark, also known as the Matrix of Leadership. Considering that the host is organic, the effects will be controlled. The Matrix will make the host half-Cybertronian, adapting to this world's limits.
———————
David blinked. The Matrix of Leadership? His brain immediately clicked back to all the memories of Transformers lore, and the sheer power and responsibility associated with the Matrix.
Half-Cybertronian? He smirked, childish excitement bubbling up. This just keeps getting better.
As he kept reading, the grin on his face grew wider.
———————
Abilities Granted :
- Digital Immortality
- Depression Immunity
- Mind Control Immunity
- Natural Charisma
- Leader's Mind
- Motivational Aura
- Peak Physiology
- Regeneration
- Biological High-End Invulnerability (Nigh Immortal)
- Technomancy
.....etc
———————
The list seemed to go on and on. Each ability was more impressive than the last, making David realize just how powerful he'd become.
Gone were the days of worrying about whether he could handle the dangers this world posed. Now, with the Matrix of Leadership, he was far beyond all human.
"Finally," David muttered, a sense of relief washing over him. "I'm not just some overglorified wannabe magician with no substance anymore"
The gnawing fear that he wouldn't be strong enough to face someone like All for One evaporated.
Now, he was more than capable of protecting himself—and probably a lot more than that.
The strength, resilience, and leadership abilities that came with the Matrix were very reassuring.
But a thought suddenly crossed his mind. With his new, half-Cybertronian nature, what would that mean for his future? His DNA?
He couldn't help but ask the system.
"Will my children be half-Cybertronian? Does this affect my DNA? If I'm cloned, would the clones also be Cybertronian?"
The system responded immediately.
———————
Affirmative. The Matrix has been altered to fit the world's balance. Any offspring of the host will inherit Cybertronian traits, and cloning will result in Cybertronian replicas.
———————
David sat back, absorbing that information. His kids—if he ever had any—would be part Cybertronian.
If someone tried to clone him, they wouldn't just get a normal human copy; they'd end up with a Cybertronian hybrid.
He grinned wven though there was now a possibility of Cybertronian Nomus. "That's... a lot to take in."
With the Matrix now a part of him, David knew his future was set on a very different path considering that the reward was based on choices means that he would be in danger.
But whatever came next, he wasn't just going to be a bystander.
He was now able to save himself at least.
---
David stepped out of Nokotan's house, his excitement to test his newfound powers overriding any lingering thoughts about the ARG.
However, before he left, he couldn't help but feel a shiver of unease.
Nokotan had been incredibly intense about the whole project, scribbling ideas on paper, connecting them with string, and muttering obsessively about how to maximize the effect.
Her enthusiasm had turned borderline unsettling.
David wiped the sweat off his forehead as he left her house, thinking, How is she more into this than I am?
Still, the excitement of testing his abilities was too much to ignore. Hopping into a taxi, he gave the driver directions to a relatively deserted area outside of Mustafu.
The further they got from the city, the denser the trees became.
After a while, David stepped out into a thick forest while the driver gave him pity eyes thinking he wqs going to commit suicide or something.
It was the perfect place to test his powers—quiet, secluded, and far from prying eyes.
As he ventured deeper into the forest, the thrill inside him built up. His anticipation finally broke free, and with a thought, he let the Matrix of Leadership activate.
His body responded instantly.
His flesh turned to metal with a fluid ease, without the slightest discomfort or awkwardness.
His arms and chest transformed into sleek metallic components, fitting together as if his body had always been meant for this.
David's hair turned a bright white, and his eyes glowed a brilliant blue, casting a soft light around him.
His vision sharpened beyond human limits, allowing him to see the small cells of the tree bark.
A bluish-white meatallic coating covered his body as his organic skin and muscles beneath the armored surface transformed partially.
[FORM 1]
But he wasn't done.
With a single thought, David shifted again, transforming his body further.
This time, his head remained organic while the rest of him became fully metallic. He could feel the power coursing through his body, but it was controlled, natural, almost comforting.
[FORM 2]
This feels… incredible.
Without wasting a second, David crouched slightly and launched himself into the air.
The ground beneath him cracked as he shot upward, his speed breaking the sound barrier almost instantly.
"Woohoo-"
The sensation of flight, the wind whipping against him—everything felt exhilarating.
He hadn't felt this kind of freedom before, ever.
Up in the air, though, he realized something—he was having trouble breathing.
The altitude had affected his organic parts, making it hard to catch his breath.
His eyes narrowed with determination as he decided to fully embrace his new form.
His body shifted once again, and this time, it transformed completely into a sleek, cybertronian form.
[FORM 3]
No longer a hybrid, David now resembled a true Transformer—built for power, agility, and endurance.
Flying through the sky, completely robotic now, he grinned.
This is fucking insane.
He soared higher, faster, slicing through the clouds with ease.
The feeling of freedom, of absolute power, thrilled him to his core.
He wasn't just a simple man anymore—he was much more.
David looped through the air and performed aerial spins, testing his maneuverability.
Every move was precisely calculated by the mechanical brain, and every motion smooth following the trajectory with a 99.999% accuracy.
He flew faster than any human-made aircraft as he reached just the edge of outerspace, yet his evolved form handled it all effortlessly.
Eventually, though, he decided to land, descending quickly and gracefully, the forest rising up to meet him due to his speed.
As he touched down, David looked at his metallic hands and then transformed back into his First form—human body, cybernetic protection.
He smirked.
I could get used to this.
