Chapter 4 - You’re Telling Me That This Is a Young Wizard Who Hasn’t Even Started School Yet?

"Kael, can you use magic like that too?" Hermione asked.

Harry Potter didn't respond. Instead, he turned his gaze to Kael, sensing a faint aura around him—like the presence of a powerful figure from a crime film. Kael was clearly not an ordinary person.

"A Mending Charm," Kael began, "is a very simple spell that most young wizards can perform. The challenge, however, lies in doing it without a wand or using silent casting."

He shrugged, as if this were a trivial matter. For him, it was. His Mending Charm was already at level 8. He could cast it wandlessly!

Hermione pouted in disbelief. She'd read that wandless magic was something only the most powerful wizards could master. This little wizard must be bragging.

"Oh, look, Goyle, did you hear that?" A voice sneered. "A wizard who hasn't even started school is claiming he has mastered wandless magic?"

Before Hermione could respond, the compartment door swung open. A blond boy with a pale, sharp-featured face entered, flanked by two bulky followers. Draco Malfoy had arrived—just like in a scene straight out of a book.

Kael suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu, like witnessing a familiar plot unfold.

"Look at everyone in this compartment, three Mudbloods!"

"And one who isn't even worthy of being called a Mudblood, a Weasley!"

Draco's gaze swept over the group, finally landing on Harry. "Harry Potter, the boy-who-lived. You should know that befriending the right people could be beneficial."

Then, turning to Kael with disdain, he added, "Wandless magic? That's an advanced technique even my father hasn't mastered."

The Malfoy family was a staunch supporter of the pure-blood doctrine.

Draco knew every pure-blood wizard of his age, even those in France, and none of them were named Kael.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron all turned to Kael, hoping he would put Malfoy in his place.

"Well, since you all want to see it..." Kael replied calmly. With a snap of his fingers—

"Boom!"

All the windows on the Hogwarts Express shattered at once. The cold September wind rushed into the compartment, carrying with it the screams of startled students from the other compartments.

Draco Malfoy's face went pale. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but no words came out. This was a wizard who hadn't even started school?

Hermione was just as stunned. Wait... was that supposed to be a Mending Charm?

"Ahem, as you can see," Kael said, coughing lightly, "I had to break something first before I could demonstrate the Mending Charm."

The "Heart of Black Magic" talent was proving to be quite potent—even a simple spell seemed to unleash three times the normal power. But there was a downside: all his spells were turning "dark," and he had to be careful.

"Honestly," Kael continued, "it's hard to believe such a simple spell requires a wand."

He glanced at the still-dazed Malfoy. Time to show what a real Mending Charm looked like.

"Reparo!" Kael chanted, and the moment the words left his lips, a series of loud bangs echoed through the train.

Meanwhile, in the corridor, an old woman pushing a trolley filled with sweets and snacks—Honeydukes' finest—paused. The roofs of the compartments suddenly flew off, shooting into the sky like fireworks. The autumn sun streamed down, accompanied by the chill of the wind. The old lady stood there, completely bewildered.

Inside the compartment.

The trio of protagonists and the Malfoy trio were equally baffled.

Let's put it this way, now the Hogwarts Express…

It was bad enough that it had no windows!

But now, it doesn't even have a roof. Can you believe that?

It was like a series of dilapidated houses moving on train tracks.

Malfoy and his two lackeys were so scared their legs turned to jelly.

No way, right?

This level of destruction…

And you are telling me he's a wizard who hasn't even started school yet?

At the same time, a series of over twenty system notifications sounded in Kael's mind.

Even though most were just bronze and silver treasure chests, there were so many of them that it was overwhelming!

As expected of Hogwarts.

This really is a great place!

Kael hugged his Sun Elf close, using it as a heater, and put on a harmless to humans and animals smile. This was a bit awkward. It seemed like the "Heart of Black Magic" talent could turn any spell dark…

Ding! Friendly Reminder to the Host: The 'Heart of Black Magic' talent can be manually controlled to turn on or off.

At this moment, a system notification suddenly sounded in Kael's mind.

Damn!

Where's my knife?

Where's my knife?!

Stupid system, do you dare to come out yourself? I promise to let you live!

"Oh, as you can see, since this is about demonstrating the Mending Charm, I had to cause some more destruction to show the spell's true power, right?"

Kael suddenly became excited.

It was showtime!

It was time to let them see what a real Mending Charm could do!

"So next up…"

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining a Diamond Treasure Chest!]

Before he could finish speaking, another treasure chest exploded into view—this time from Malfoy.

A Diamond Treasure Chest!

Malfoy was trembling so hard that his legs shook.

Oh no, not again?

If this keeps up, will there be nothing left on the tracks but a row of wheels?
