Barely Escaping

After secretly arriving back to the house that she had once brought Ronald to after saving him from the masquerade party, Iris quickly went into the living room, where the puddle of blood that had leaked out of Iris's body last time was still visibly seen, opened a drawer from the desk, and pulled out a first aid kit as well as a sewing kit she had originally prepared for Ronald beforehand.

Then using the needle threader and the thread from the sewing kit, she started to stitch back together all of the bullet wounds that had opened back up during her fight with Kedron.

After Iris had managed to stitch all of the bullet wounds back together, Iris laid on the couch in exhaustion.

Since Iris was currently in so much physical pain right now due to everything that's happened so far ever since the masquerade party, she honestly wanted to close her eyes and just go to sleep for a little bit.

However, since she was worried that she would die when she ends up going to sleep, Iris tried her best to keep her eyes open as much as possible.

Besides, compared to everything that Ronald had experienced back in her previous life, this was nothing at all.

While the entire world might not know everything he's gone through in his previous life, including all of the girls that had seeked out revenge for Ronald's death, as someone who had practically stayed by Ronald's side for most of the time in his previous life, Iris knew it best.

To put it bluntly, words definitely couldn't even begin to describe everything that Ronald had gone through...

Especially during the last 3 years of his life, when he had gone absolutely rogue and tried to kill all of the girls, including Iris herself.

However, all of his attempts to kill any of them all ended up futile despite his strength.

And the only two reasons why all of his attempts ended up in failure was because of two things, and two things only.

The first being that every time Ronald tried to do something to one of these girl, something unexpected would always happen to Ronald, whether it be a powerful lighting strike suddenly striking at him, to him suddenly coughing up blood, or him suddenly magically disappearing moments before he could actually do anything.

And the second being Ye Fan.

That's right, although Ye Fan was significantly weaker than Ronald, no matter what Ronald had seemed to do, Ye Fan would somehow always come back alive.

Almost as if a god was trying to protect him.

That was also why it took the collaborative efforts of all of the girls in order to even put Ye Fan down for good.

However, Ronald had at least started to calm himself down for the last few months before he had commited suicide.

Well on the bright side of things, at least none of those things has happened to Ronald yet in this life.

But anyways, enough dwelling in the past for now, she still has to figure out where Ronald had disappeared off to once again!

According to what the dean of the hospital had said, Ronald wasn't waiting at the hospital like he had initially stated, but went somewhere immediately after the first explosion had occured.

And she had a feeling that the first explosion had occurred because of Ronald causing trouble again.

After all, it was obvious at this point that Ronald somehow manages to stir up trouble everywhere he goes at this point.

So that raises the question, who had caused the first explosion to begin with?

'The person who had tried to assassinate me.'

After all, it wasn't hard to figure out that the person who had tried to assassinate her was the one who had caused the first explosion to begin with, considering that he had caused another explosion in order to kill her.

This meant that the person who had tried to assassinate her undoubtedly did something to Ronald after the first explosion occurred, and she was hellbent on finding out what he did to him.

As for the possibility that he had killed Ronald during that explosion?

She won't even play with that possibility in her head at all.

As long as she manages to find and defeat that person who had tried to assassinate her and make him spill the beans, then she's sure she'll be able to find Ronald again.

Now luring him out to her was the easy part, since she knew that he most likely would want to do everything within his power to kill her, however, trying to defeat him in a fight was a whole different story.

Just based on the fight that she had with him a couple of hours ago, she could tell that he was extremely strong.

So strong in fact that even if Iris had decided to normally cultivate, in which she had learned back in her previous life in order to hunt down Ye Fan, the moment she had regressed back, she probably still wouldn't be able to fully defeat him then.

It was already a miracle in itself that she had somehow managed to block most of his attacks to begin with.

Of course, since she was now a regressor, albeit she had committed suicide about a decade later, and possesses more knowledge than most of the cultivators in this world as of now, trying to defeat him in about two days certainly wasn't out of the realm of possibilities.

With that in mind, Iris painfully got off of the couch, and then immediately left the house in order to get stronger.
