Unlike the deserted furniture store, the cloth shop did brisk business.

The prices here were much more people-friendly, with the ceiling price that could compete with the furniture store's, yet the floor price was much lower.

The hottest selling items were the coarse cloth garments that went for just a few copper coins apiece.

In the post-apocalyptic world, frequent battles caused clothing to wear out quickly, and for some reason, clothes became extremely prone to wear and tear. Many garments from mall boutiques would crumble at a touch, while only those made of pure cotton lasted a bit longer.

In fact, most people had come to terms with the various changes that had occurred since the apocalypse. The pre-apocalyptic items were disappearing rapidly, as if everything was being overturned and starting anew, but items that emerged after the apocalypse didn't fall into this category, especially those sold in these shops.
