Red Card

The free kick was taken by Eric. It was surprising how the ball sped past everyone and went to a spot where only one man stood.

Great eyes.

Neo muttered this phrase as he smiled and controlled the ball flawlessly.

Before Neo could take even a step forward, he was blocked by Clark who now grinned at him.

Heh! You're quite the brainy one, aren't you? Clark said with a smile. I've been watching you long enough to know that I have to devour you to trample on this team. Love the way you devoured Alex, though.

Neo laughed. Hah! And you're quite the cocky one, aren't you?

The smile on Clark's face instantly dried up. You're the unfriendly one too, huh? Well, figure this. I won't be being cocky if I can devour you and trample on this team.

Before Neo could reply, he heard an angry shout from Mavericks bench.

Alex was raging as he yelled at Clark. You dimwit! Why are you talking instead of playing!? Is this how relevant you can be!? To become the king of talking Fc!?

Clark was annoyed beyond every reason.

He took a glance at Alex. When he turned around, he saw Neo running forward.

Dammit!

Clark cussed as he immediately tried to follow Neo.

But in the next moment, Neo changed gears and quickly stopped.

Clark tried to stop, but it wasn't that easy since he only just started accelerating. Clark stretched his hand to block Neo from moving away.

But Neo quickly changed direction and wrangled away from Clark.

Clark tried to follow him again but he could only spin as he sank to the floor.

There is that Peculiar footwork again!

As Neo lost Clark, he felt a cold chill behind his back as he took a step forward.

Kelechi suddenly appeared beside Neo.

It was stupefying to see how Kelechi was everywhere at the same time.

His stamina was really limitless!

Neo fell to the floor as Kelechi knocked the ball out of the pitch.

Kelechi didn't even take a glance at Neo whom he had knocked down, rather he walked over to Clark.

Don't lose concentration while you're on the pitch. Kelechi said this as he pulled Clark out of his sitting position on the floor.

Kelechi turned around and took a glance at Neo.

During the span of this short glance, Kelechi stuck out his tongue and grinned widely.

Dammit!!

Neo was angered by this blatant belittling.

This was Neo's debut match, and he had done more than enough to become a starter in the team.

But Kelechi still underestimated him, and he was going to make the big teenager pay for that.

Neo thought with a blazing eye:

I would devour him!

Bice threw the ball homewards and they all regrouped to start another attack.

The passed the ball around themselves as they didn't see any opportunity to attack. Their opponents had sealed off every opening in their defense and made sure that Krystal Fc wasn't even going to pass the ball into their halve of the field.

Whenever Krystal Fc decided to force their way in and launched a forward-only attack, they would be met with too much pressure and they would be forced to return with the ball.

Miles passed the ball to Zuri.

Zuri controlled the ball stylishly, eliciting a bout of excitement and cheers from the spectators.

But in the next moment, The guardian was in front of him.

Zuri was flustered and he ended up passing the ball to Lida who was the closest person to him.

Because he passed the ball in a fit of startled frenzy, the pass wasn't accurate and the ball took a bit of deviation from what he originally intended.

Lida chased the ball, but Mike was certainly there before him.

Lida slid for the ball. anyhow Mike got the ball, he was certainly going to lose it to the defender.

But Mike was way too intelligent for that, Mike didn't take a first touch as he Instantly also slid for the ball.

Mike's legs got there first and he curved his leg to give a sliding pass to Clark who was boosting forward.

After giving Clark the pass, Mike and Lida collided. Mike instantly stood up and continued the run to his defense line.

Miles chased after the ball but Clark managed to stuck a foot to the ball and that set him loose.

Mike was on full throttle as he zoomed towards his opponent's goal post, what could possibly make him not score a goal like this?

Lida chased him ferociously, but Lida knew he couldn't catch him.

And moments from now, the distance between both of them would widen and Lida wouldn't even be able to pull him back with his hand.

So Lida decided to foul him, but he couldn't just do it in an anyhow fashion.

He had to make it look like a mistake.

Lida suddenly missed a step and fell on Clark.

Pii!!

The referee ran towards them while bringing out a red card from his pocket.

Lida was disappointed, he tried to make it look like a mistake so he would only receive the yellow card, but it didn't work.

The referee saw through it all.

Krystal Fc players rushed the referee and they immediately engaged him in an argument.

Mavericks joined and they tried to make space for the referee to walk away.

Clark got annoyed and pushed Miles away.

Miles suddenly fell to the floor and held his neck as he started shouting and writhing in pain.

The referee turned to Clark and gave him a yellow card, and that seemed to settle matters.

Everyone went back to their positions in readiness for the upcoming free kick.
