Training In School

Neo decided to go train In school.

He had trained repeatedly at the stadium and knew he was getting much better at controlling his floater shots and his duplicity skill was getting much better.

he was a bit tired of making the trip to the city's stadium every day.

It was only a day that was left for their graduation party to commence. Neo wasn't all that excited for the party to commence, after all that meant that his days of being a high schooler would be officially over and he had to admit, he was going to miss it a little.

Neo decided to go to his school and train.

On entering their school soccer field, Neo was surprised to see Cai, Aesop, Zuri and Eric already there, they were busy training.

It seemed he wasn't the only one that wanted to win the tournament so badly.

But Neo probably was Ted to win the tournament more than anyone else, to him, the tournament was going to determine how his life played out.

Eric was giving long passes to Aesop and Aesop was heading the ball towards the goal where Zuri was trying to save the balls.

Cai was alone, training with his ball control.

Neo had been training all this while, but he had decided to train in school today and he was met with a surprise.

Cai was the first to notice Neo.

Cai was surprised to see Neo, the quiet senior here.

He quickly alerted the others and they all turned around to greet Neo.

Cai and Zuri were second years, Eric was a first year while Aesop and Neo were third years, that just finished their final exams.

After the brief greeting, They all went back to training.

Neo went back to training his floater shots and his skill.

After about thirty minutes of repeated lining up balls and kicking them, Neo decided to practice duplicity.

Neo had practiced it for a while now, but he fell every single time he carried out the skill.

Ahh!!

Neo yelled excitedly as he performed duplicity and he didn't slip.

Neo controlled his buzzing excitement as he stood in position to perform the skill again.

Neo stood still, the ball on his left leg.

Soon, Neo's hand suddenly moved at a very fast speed, following this, Neo moved in the opposite direction even faster, the ball moved with Neo and he suddenly moved away from nothing in particular.

Neo took the first step, then he suddenly slipped and fell down very heavily.

Zuri suddenly rushed over to him.

Are you okay?

Neo rubbed his head awkwardly with a smile. Yeah, I'm mostly fine.

Zuri then chuckled. What were you trying to do there, share yourself into two?

Neo's eye lit up on hearing this. Did it really look like I duplicated myself?

Zuri wore an exaggerated expression.

No! Stupid! How did you ever think you could duplicate yourself?

Neo rubbed his head even more awkwardly.

He waved aside the disrespect his junior just showed him, whenever they were in the field, all men were equal.

Just then, Cai, Eric and Aesop joined them.

It was Eric who spoke first.

I just invited six players from Marbles, I felt we should have a little spar with them.

Zuri furrowed his brows. Who did you invite?

Eric shrugged, Obviously unwilling to share the information.

It doesn't matter who I invited, I only invited those I felt performed exceptionally in our match against them.

Zuri's face was blank as he stared at Eric.

Dude, They all performed exceptionally, we were no match for them.

Eric shook his head. I k ow that they were way out of our league, but some of them were still the top Dougs amongst them.

Zuri was unconvinced. I didn't notice any of that, they were out to kill us that day, they really intended murder.

Eric shrugged again, this time he didn't speak.

But wait…Zuri suddenly said. We are only five here, why did you invite six players?

Eric snapped his fingers in sudden realization.

Aesop slapped his own forehead.

Damn! I knew we were forgetting something!

Cai shrugged. Let's just find one more person to complete it.

Neo spoke up. Don't worry about that, I will take care of it.

After saying that, Neo picked up his phone, dialed a number and then excused himself to go make the call.

After a moment during which nobody said anything, Neo returned.

Who did you call? Eric asked.

Neo shrugged. Don't be curious, he will soon be here, just wait patiently.

Can you please tell me? Eric's voice was low and full of curiosity. I'm very curious to know who you invited.

Neo stared at his short junior. Don't be curious. Curiosity kills the first years.
